The warranty expiration date on my sales receipt was 7/1/26. I began to have problems with the hearing aides in early 2026 and brought them into the doctors office several times for adjustments. Unfortunately they had new audiologists that wasn't familiar with my situation. I saw Dr. Astrachan on June 15, 2026 and he agreed that we needed to send the aides back to the manufacturer for adjustment, but I needed to make an appointment with his new audiologist to get fitted with a loaner pair, she couldn't see until 7/16/26, I told Dr Astrachan that I was concerned about the warranty and he said not worry because you were here on June 15th. Well on July 16th the audiologist said they called the manufacturer and they wouldn't honor the warranty, So I'm out 5,700.00 and need a new pair of hearing aides !!!

I made yet another appointment and got the dates mixed up and didn't go. They charged me $25 for a missed appointment. I actually sent them a payment but the check never cleared. I called the billing office and told them to re present the check. THEY NEVER RETURNED MY CALL. Then several weeks later I received a bill for $50!!! I called this time they answered in the billing department and I told them what happened. They didn't care. I ended up paying the $50. Expensive lesson but I learned. Do yourself a favor and go to Dr. Melnick in New Britain. No problems there.

However I called back and they said that they were going to call a mediation to my pharmacy. I go the pharmacy and nothing was called so naturally I called them back. Some rude assistant picked up trying to rush me off the phone and she said they never called the prescription because the dr wanted to talk to me. I said I wished you called to let me know. She got so rude on the phone and saying she doesn't have time for that and that they are short staffed. I said please do be snippy with me, and as I was speaking to make an appointment she hung up. So I called back, I don't know who picked up (most likely the same person) I said why did I get hang up on, and she hung up again for the third time. Someone called me from the office and without asking me what happened stating that I am being rude to the staff. I laughed because at this point it was funny. I explained myself again, and made an appointment that I cancelled right away .this was just for a physical appointment , what if I was sick and they act like that again and again ....I was going to ask to be a concierge patient, but they don't need my money I guess. He and his staff have always been very responsive and understanding with terrific "Bedside Manner". I took advantage of and enrolled in a Concierge Physicians program to which he belongs. The service offers several benefits. One of the most important benefits for me is virtually instant accessibility to him and/or his staff 24/7. I would recommend Dr. Saunders as a very competent practitioner of Internal Medicine as well as a down to earth General Practitioner or Primary Care Physician.

I used these reviews to pick my doctor. I met with him and he is very knowledgeable and caring. He suspected me of having sleep apnea and recommended me to a specialist before I go through with the surgery. Turns out he was right! After that was taken care of I went back to discuss a surgery date and it turns out he had a cancellation right before the new year. It was only 3 or 4 days out so his team rushed to get the insurance to sign off on it and fast forward 3 1/2 weeks later I feel like a new person! I can breathe again. Don't do what I did and research about septoplasty, none of that is true with Dr. Astrachan. He had me in and out in no time. Best part is my insurance paid for the whole thing! If you cannot breathe properly do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Astrachan.
