The moment you step inside, the aroma of lemongrass, basil, and toasted chili wraps around you like a welcome embrace. This isn't vegan food that tries to imitate; it's vegan food that celebrates flavor in its purest form. The Green Curry is the restaurant at its best: aromatic, velvety, and layered with the slow-building heat that defines great Thai cooking. Each spoonful reveals a new note sweet coconut, sharp kaffir lime, a whisper of garlic and vegetables that still have life in them, never overcooked, each one chosen with intent. But it's the Crispy Tofu with Tamarind Sauce that steals the evening. Golden edged, cloud-soft inside, and dressed in a glaze that hits the perfect chord between sweet, tangy, and bright. It's the kind of dish that causes a moment of happy silence at the table, followed by the inevitable: "We're ordering another one." For families, the menu is forgiving and generous mild options for kids, bold ones for adventurous eaters, and portions that actually respect the appetite of hungry people. For couples, the atmosphere is a quiet kind of romantic, the sort of setting where conversations stretch naturally between bites. Service is where Atk Vegan Thai truly shines. The staff moves with a sincerity that's increasingly rare: attentive without hovering, thoughtful without pretense. There's a sense that they care about the food, about your experience, and about the reputation they've built dish by dish. In a city full of noise, Atk Vegan Thai stands out by speaking softly and cooking brilliantly. This is the type of restaurant that earns loyalty the old fashioned way: through heart, hospitality, and food that lingers in your memory long after you've left. Restaurants like this don't just want customers. They want a community. And they've created one worth coming back to.

We tried the Chicken Shawarma Pita Pocket, and it clearly is better than any other sandwich option. The soft pita wraps around warm, creamy hummus (honestly one of the best in the city), pickled red cabbage, Mediterranean pickles, and that well-seasoned chicken shawarma. The mix of lemon tahini, mango aioli, a touch of spicy relish, caramelized plantains, and roasted red pepper sauce gives it a really layered flavor without feeling heavy. Everything works together, and nothing competes. We also had the Cilantro Falafel Bowl, which comes with a base of hummus and lemon cabbage salad. The falafel with lemon tahini is crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the bowl is packed with roasted cabbage, cherry tomatoes, English cucumbers, chickpeas, pickles, pickled red cabbage, and pita wedges. It's simple, very fresh, and filling in a clean way. One thing that stands out at Happeas is the personalized attention, you actually feel taken care of, and there's a good chance you'll meet the owner while you're there. The vibe is relaxed, not rushed, and they've thought about small details, like having a self-serve water machine with still and sparkling options, which is a nice touch. Overall, Happeas delivers honest, well-made food with flavors that feel intentional but not overdone. Great spot for a quick lunch that doesn't taste like a compromise.

You can order off of both. The servers were friendly and helped us understand the parking situation. They then gave us some recommendations about the menu and brought bread for the table. We ordered the vegan fettuccine mushroom and vegan gnocchi bolognese. Our server also brought us some vegan Parmesan to sprinkle on top. Both pastas were cooked perfectly and we received good sized portions. The vegan cream sauce on the fettuccine was light and tasted very similar to a real dairy Alfredo. A little slippery and hard to eat but delicious. I would definitely come back to try more of the pasta entrees. For dessert we hard the vegan tiramisu. This was just ok in my opinion. The biscuit weren't as soft and soaked as most tiramisu, but that may be because of the ingredients of the vegan biscuits. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated. Note, the restrooms are single stall so there was a bit of a line for the men's stall and the women's stall.

From Smoothies and several coffee choices to great menu breakfast items that make it hard to choose from. One thing is for sure; all of the choices are healthy. I ordered the Salmon Benedict with a hearty portion of smoked salmon, poached eggs with a runny yoke. Served on homemade Brioche Toast with avocado, frizze salad with an oregano dressing and of course hollandaise sauce. It hit the spot and not too heavy. Me daughter and son in law had the Steak and Eggs, a protein booster with incredible medium cooked skirt steak and slightly crunchy smashed fingerling potatoes. Nice touch on those potatoes, we all shared. They also had the Peach Berry Parfait. So refreshing with fresh peaches, raspberries and strawberries in vanilla yogurt and berry compote. Granola added the crunch to this as well. The service was excellent and smooth. We really enjoyed each other's company today outside dining with great healthy choices and very reasonable prices. I do not want to forget to mention how great the coffee was. Had iced Mocha coffee and Americano ordered before the meal came. There is a paid parking lot right next to Flora. You would need to use the QR code to register your car and pay for timed parking. No hassles at all. I really look forward to coming back. Even the bathroom is a moment: Stylish, aesthetic, and very much photo-worthy. We were seated outside right away, water came quickly, menus followed...so far, so good. We ordered the steak sandwich and the chicken skewer bowl, plus a watermelon lemonade. Presentation-wise, everything looked great. The avocado on the sandwich was honestly the star perfectly done. That said, the steak sandwich itself was a little too rich. The aioli overpowered the flavors, especially for a $29 sandwich (plus a $3 sweet potato surcharge ). At $33, I was hoping for a bit more balance. The chicken skewer bowl, however, was a hit my friend really enjoyed it, and it felt like the better value overall. Service-wise, this is where things fell a bit flat. We came with my pup Henry, and despite puppy water bowls being scattered all over the patio, our server didn't acknowledge him or offer one ....we had to ask. Small thing, but noticeable, especially at a dog-friendly spot. There also wasn't much engagement overall, no recommendations, no dessert mention, no "how's everything tasting?" When I asked for the check, the response was a slightly curt "give me a minute," which didn't feel very warm. He then went on to drop off water bottles at other tables before circling back to ask if we wanted coffee. All in all: adorable atmosphere (bathroom included), decent food, but mid for the price point and service that didn't quite match the setting. I'd come back for the patio and vibes, maybe stick to lighter dishes, but I hope the hospitality grows to match how pretty the place is.

In fact, we ordered so many things on the menu, and gobbled it down so fast that I never took any photos. Everything on the menu is a guilty pleasure (think vegan chicken sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, and even chicken wings). The catch? You don't have to feel bad about it. We learned that every ingredient is the highest quality and they pride themselves to never cut any corners when developing new recipes. It's very clear in the quality of food and just honestly, how fresh everything tasted. Notably, the vegan jackfruit chicken wings are 100% the best I've had. Not only are they hard to come by at restaurants, but they are also extremely difficult to make at home. Believe me, I've tried! They were my favorite and I would be happy to pick up a dozen to watch the next game at home. I sure wish I did for Super Bowl this past weekend. The service was fast, easy, and very nice. We enjoyed talking with them and just the good vibes! They are located in a convenient parking lot in Kendall that you can pop in quick to pick up, or enjoy a casual date night like we did. We are really looking forward to coming back again soon.

The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend it. One thing I can say is that it's on the pricey side. $113 lunch for 2 added up super fast but it was well worth it. Water is self-serve, and once you're done with your meal, you just head out. There's minimal interaction with staff, which might appeal to people who prefer a more low-key, independent dining experience or want a place to sit and work without being interrupted. That said, the service did not feel very friendly or welcoming. And personally, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
