Ok, so it's called a half sandwich, but this thing is big and filling! I never leave there hungry. My go to is the tuna-cado on ciabatta. This bread is delicious! Crispy outside and chewy inside, it's everything you want in a ciabatta. The tuna mixed with avocado is also delicious. Highly recommended. For the salad portion I honestly like them all. The goddess dressing is amazing and not too bad for you. If I had to choose I would pick the La Mexicana as my favorite salad. Another thing I like is that they make good espresso there. It's a perfect pick me up to get through the rest of your work day.

I usually go to the coral Gables location but I was close to this one. Immediately when i walked in i could feel the horrible vibes from the guy who walked away from the register. Then the girl with the black long hair and mole on her lip saw that the avocado toast was being made wrong When I expressed her it wasn't made improperly she tried to lie and say it was made correct but luckily I had the photo from the photo i take of the one from Coral Gables location... Then she made the change ‍ How annoying is that... if you never have been to carrot express check the picture so they don't just give you anything. I then had to watch it be made. O. The other hand the carrot cake was amazing! The salmon tarte added had way too much soy sauce

This was my second visit to this location, and overall, I'm a fan of what The Carrot Express…read moreoffers. The menu has a great variety of healthy, fresh options, which isn't always easy to find when you're looking for something quick and nutritious. That said, the pricing is definitely something to be aware of. While the quality of the food is high, this is still a fast-casual concept. It's not the spot to grab a quick lunch if you're trying to stay under $20. Wraps easily exceed that price point. During this visit, I ordered the Skinny Green Smoothie, which was very good but came in at $12. My husband had the Poke Bowl Wrap, priced at $23. It did include a Cilantro sauce that complemented the wrap nicely, but drinks are not included, which pushes the total even higher. Another drawback is the counter-service tipping setup. Suggested gratuities start at 18%, which feels steep for an order-at-the-counter experience, especially when that's typically the baseline for full-service dining. I'm giving this location 4 stars because I truly appreciate having healthy, quality options available. However, the high prices and tipping expectations are what ultimately kept this from earning a fifth star

We tried the Chicken Shawarma Pita Pocket, and it clearly is better than any other sandwich option. The soft pita wraps around warm, creamy hummus (honestly one of the best in the city), pickled red cabbage, Mediterranean pickles, and that well-seasoned chicken shawarma. The mix of lemon tahini, mango aioli, a touch of spicy relish, caramelized plantains, and roasted red pepper sauce gives it a really layered flavor without feeling heavy. Everything works together, and nothing competes. We also had the Cilantro Falafel Bowl, which comes with a base of hummus and lemon cabbage salad. The falafel with lemon tahini is crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the bowl is packed with roasted cabbage, cherry tomatoes, English cucumbers, chickpeas, pickles, pickled red cabbage, and pita wedges. It's simple, very fresh, and filling in a clean way. One thing that stands out at Happeas is the personalized attention, you actually feel taken care of, and there's a good chance you'll meet the owner while you're there. The vibe is relaxed, not rushed, and they've thought about small details, like having a self-serve water machine with still and sparkling options, which is a nice touch. Overall, Happeas delivers honest, well-made food with flavors that feel intentional but not overdone. Great spot for a quick lunch that doesn't taste like a compromise.

I've been to their other locations in Midtown and North Beach, but first time visiting this one. I've always thought that the prices are on the higher end for the portion sizes but all worth it for better ingredients. This time I actually felt the amount of food was pretty decent. First time I tried their loaded sweet potato- added chicken and cheese and it was way more than enough! We also had the salmon burger which came with a side salad. The toasted multigrain bread was great. The place was almost empty so we got our food pretty fast and the staff was welcoming and patient while we decided what to get. This location is bigger than the ones I've been to, many tables including high bar tables with rattan high chairs. There was a homeless guy who was came in while we were eating and the staff asked him to leave since he was making some of the clients uncomfortable. Overall a good experience.

Chicken with a Kung Fu punch or not?…read more Located on SW 8th street this Kung Fu Chicken location has just street parking. Which can be a little sparse considering it's in a largly touristy area of "Calle Ocho". So I ended up parking illegally for a quick pick up order. Not recommended but it is what it was. It is somewhat of a small shop inside but luckily it wasn't crowded so I got to order right away. The inside is trendy but at the same time minimalistic. Similarly the menu is pretty simplistic and I appreciate that approach. I ended up ordering the Master Chicken Steak, the Corn Cheese, some Chicken Strips and a Mango Smoothie. The chicken strips were ok. Nothing spectacular to report. The Kung Fu sauce was similar to Raising Cane sauce except with a little more kick. The Master Chicken came with a spicy BBQ sauce which I was told was separate but it wasn't. I personally wasn't a fan of the sauce and it being completely coated kind off was a turn off. I heard you could order it without the sauce and maybe next time I'll go that route. The chicken itself on both the strips and Master was good quality. But overall nothing to write home about. The Corn Cheese which was similar to an elote but without the spice was good. I would order that again. But the hands down winner was the Mango Smoothie. It was so refreshing. The boba pearls combined with the Mango and coconut chunks were amazing. I was sad when I finished it and immediately had a craving for more. They have a Strawberry smoothie which I would also like to try. Overall Kung Fu Chicken was ok. I would give it another try just so I can get another smoothie but compared to other chicken strip places I wouldn't say they topped them.
