We were recommended Eduardo Correa through my sons friends parents back in 2017 when he was in kindergarten and we needed to change our dentist, and we absolutely love him and his whole staff! FYI, my son's friend, and his younger brother, still come here for all their dental needs! My son has had some extensive dental care, including removing extra teeth at a young age, and he has special care needs due to his medical diagnosis that is carefully monitored and care is adjusted by his dental and orthodontics staff as necessary here in Dr. Eddie's office. He has been in orthodontics with Dr. Imoto since 2019, and we are very pleased with his progress and results. Dentist appointments with an autistic child has been a nightmare. To the point where I just began avoiding dentists all together. Until my son's pediatrician recommended Doctor Correa. Since the beginning, everything went smoothly. From making the appointment, to getting reminders, to the actual appointment itself. First of all, they specialize in special needs children so there's no need to have to do my usual "oh sorry he's autistic" speech. They know how it works with special needs kids. The dental assistant that helped us was awesome, she did what she could and my little one wasn't very happy but she never stopped smiling and speaking to him calmly. Then Dr. Correa came in and spoke to me calmly and explained what was going to happen and that having him go to a surgery center might be our best option. Dr. Correa actually took the time to check my sons teeth out. My son made it difficult but where other dentists gave up and sent us on our way Dr. Correa kept trying until he was able to see at least a little something. In the end we did have to schedule an appointment for the surgery center but I felt heard. I felt seen. I didn't feel like a nuisance like at our previous dentist office. I'm at ease knowing that they had a better look at the surgery center and that my fears were being heard. Even then, nurses kept coming out to update us and kept us at ease during the procedure and then Dr. Correa came out after to let us know how everything went. I couldn't have asked for it go better. I am more impressed with how they handle my daughter, she doesn't sit still at all, and still are able to clean her teeth and do what's needed. My son finished his braces and we couldn't be happier. Only dentist the kids have ever been to, it's been over 10 years of coming here. Absolutely love it! Check in is immediate, you're called back within 5 minutes. The dental assistants are ALL amazing, I haven't met one yet that isn't. They all genuinely love the kids and their job, at least that's the impression I get! Doctors are also super amazing with the kids. Never rushed, always chat with the kids and converse with the parents. Dr Eddie is so kind and humble. Really bad experience as a loyal patient for many years. They have very questionable billing practices. The office charges $235 for cleaning and X-rays. Our insurance paid $171 and the office threatened to send us to collections if we didn't pay another $150 so they can collect a total of $331 which is more than they would have been paid without insurance. To make an extra $80 more than they'd receive with a cash payment, they were willing to threaten collections and lose patients that had been with the practice for six years. We paid the extra money after another debt collection threat but they promised the dentist would call to address our concerns. The second we paid the extra balance we never heard from them. Three weeks and not one call from the dentist. It was never about the money. Just a very disrespectful and disheartening way to treat patients visiting for years. We will never go back. read more
