We had a great experience with Dr Le and her staff. They were patient and made the experience easy. My daughter is almost two and she did very well due to the staff. When she was one we went to another dentist and the experience was not good. Glad her second time was a good one. Let me correct my review - I just found text messages of time stamps. My appointment was at 10:20am and got there on time and did not get seen until 11:05am. Literally waited 45 minutes. After one of the office employees saw me they said "oh you're still here!?" And then we sat down for our appt. I updated this because the office manager messaged me and clearly is trying to say this didn't happen but I ended up finding time stamps of the actual times. We will not be coming back to this dentist office because of the unprofessional office manager. read more

We have been going to Dr. Le for years after our pediatrician recommended her and we have always been so happy with her. She's a truly pediatric dentist, very patient and kind. She has always explained our options when our kids needed treatment, we were never pushed into extra procedures, especially on baby teeth, which other dentists do. Dr. Le is very conscientious on that regard and we really trust her. You can tell how passionate she is about what she does. We live about 30 minutes away, but we would drive an hour if we had to because it is not easy to find someone you trust like this. On a side note, the office is very clean and welcoming to kids with TVs and they get a toy after they're done, which is our kids' favorite part about going to the dentist. My three kids come here. We have been repeat customers since 2010 when my first son was just a toddler. I trust Dr. Le with all my children's dental needs because she is patient (very patient since my son isn't the most well behaved), provides detailed explanations in regards to procedures and ensures things will go smoothly whenever there might be an issue. Like many children, my daughter has a fear of the dentist and cries each time we are there. Each visit, Dr Le gets visibly frustrated, which I let pass the first couple times because I understand a crying toddler can be frustrating and we live close to the office- however, I expect more patience of a PEDIATRIC dentist. From my experiences, it seems most of her patients seem to be elementary to high school age so she doesn't have good patience and rapport with younger patients. Dr. Le was so harsh and rude our last visit today and my daughter actually asked me to find a new, "not mean" dentist after our last visit, so we will be. I wish I would have done this sooner! I'm sure it won't be hard to find someone with a little more patience than Dr Le, as she has none. She should be ashamed of herself and her impatience with a 3 year old, she almost acts like a toddler herself with her impatience. I am also expecting so at the end our visit she sarcastically gestures towards my daughter and goes "hope THAT gets better after 2 kids!" My daughter also said "Hi Dentist" to her at the beginning of the visit, trying to establish some connection, and instead of returning her greeting she just sighed and replied rudely "okay lets get this done quick" and harshly cleaned her teeth. If you have a younger child AVOID this office at all costs!!!! The dentist is truly awful. read more

To begin with, silver should not be used if you follow updated healthy dental practices. First, the appointment is never on time. The wait time makes your child impatient. Unnecessary usage of nitrogen to make money. This doctor doesn't have a heart, she is always in a rush to finish the work and get on to the next. On our 2nd visit I changed my option to compost and complained to her on the pain the silver filled tooth is giving my son. My son complained about the sensitivity the silver filling gave him, she blamed on brushing techniques. She said we aren't brushing properly which will lead to infection. But she has no brains that if she says infection its could be from her, and not from brushing technique. I took my son here, she decided to do 3 of his teeth at a time. Gas and being tired put him my 4 YO to sleep, the doc continued to work while he was asleep, all the water with tooth particles collected in his mouth and throat. He woke up choking. She was literally shouting at my kid constantly to open the mouth while he was crying and gaining his presence of mind after waking up. I found her extremely unprofessional as she goes on non stop chatting about her kids, while not looking at the patient, scraping and drilling till blood oozes out. She doesn't have the courtesy to wait till my child felt better. We left with uneven filling. We didn't bother to return to level it up. And of course she doens't care if we didn't return. I'm lucky I found a perfect doctor for my entire family who isn't money minded and is extremely gentle, only and only concerned about our dental well being. I do not know what made me say yes for silver filling, could be the price. My new knowledgable dentist informed me, "Dental amalgam fillings are also known as "silver fillings" because of their silver-like appearance.  Despite the name, "silver fillings" do contain elemental mercury. Dental amalgam is the least expensive type of filling material. Potential Risks: Dental amalgam contains elemental mercury. It releases low levels of mercury in the form of a vapor that can be inhaled and absorbed by the lungs. High levels of mercury vapor exposure are associated with adverse effects in the brain and the kidneys. FDA has reviewed the best available scientific evidence to determine whether the low levels of mercury vapor associated with dental amalgam fillings are a cause for concern. Based on this evidence, FDA considers dental amalgam fillings safe for adults and children ages 6 and above. This Doctor who isn't even fit to be called so used this filling on my poor kids "MOLAR teeth". The front office explained that Dr Tra prefers silver for young kids witj milk teeth as they will fall off. But hey that is wrong!!!! My son when he woke up said he never wants to see her and that is the worst doctor he has ever ever been through. He also added he can visit for the toys but to see the doc. This has been so far our worst experience ever. Each time I think of my experience here, I feel sorry for my son, I feel guilty for not stopping the doctor when she didn't pay attention, stopping her when my son fell asleep. I will never forgive myself for giving my poor child this experience, for letting this doc to torture him. Very poor skills I wonder how such doc are let to deal with kids who are so insensitive. read more

I do not usually write reviews for doctors. But I think I need to write the wonderful experiences our family had with Dr. Le. Both of my children started to see Dr. Le since they were 3 or 4 years old. My daughter always had problems with other people touching her mouth. I explained that issue to Dr. Le and she treated my daughter with gentleness and respect. She never treated my daughter as if she was different and she always made sure that my daughter was never uncomfortable with any of the procedures. I really appreciate her kindness and patience. She always explains to the children what she would do to the teeth and how she would do it. My children never complain when it's time for their dental visits. For them it's not a scary experience. The staff there are very friendly and we never wait more than 10 minutes. Needless to say I have recommended Dr. Le to all my friends. They too become long time patients of Dr. Le. My daughter now is a teenager and she still goes to see Dr. Le. We probably have to start taking her to regular dentist but she's still a bit sensitive with her mouth. I am still looking for adult dentist in OC who can be like Dr. Le. Thank you Dr. Le and all the staff members who work hard everyday to make sure every kids get good dental hygiene. Our daughter has been going to Dr. Le for over 12 years. Dr. Le was patient and gentle from my daughter's very first visit when as a toddler. My daughter previously had been examined by a dentist who was fine, but did not specialize in children. We could see the difference right away how very good Dr. Le is working with children. My daughter came in as a yeller but Dr. Le and staff were patient and gentle. After a couple of visits, my daughter no longer feared the dentist and stopped yelling. Her first filling and injection several years later was fuss-free. For parents who like to be informed, and choose to sit in during the appointment, Dr. Le keeps an ongoing dialogue with parents during the exam. I'm not sure if sitting in during the appointment is mandatory or an option, but I always sat in. I appreciated the communication, as she would kindly identify strengths and areas of needed improvement in my child's oral health. Not only are she and her staff pleasant and professional, I can honestly say that from a layman's view, she seems to be excellent at her craft. Just last week, my daughter sustained a sports injury to her front tooth. After Dr. Le repaired it, my daughter, now a skeptical teenager, was amazed that her tooth looked completely normal; the point of repair is undetectable! For those of you with younger children, the exam area is inviting, with kid friendly movies on screen to occupy little attention spans and a cheerful marine decor. We love Dentistry for Kidds!! I had a difficult time taking my son to a regular dentist because they just didn't know how to work with kids....not really their fault.....but a pediatric dentist office that knows how to deal with kids and talk to kids was the way to go for us and that is Dentistry for Kidds. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The office is clean and the kids love the games in the wait room and the TVs in the procedure rooms. It is helpful to keep them distracted while they are being worked on. They are always open to parents being in the room with the kids too if it helps to make them feel comfortable. Dr. Le is great with my kids and my daughter loves that the last cavity she had filled was pain free!! We have been going to dentistry for Kidds for 2 years now and I couldn't be happier with their office. Waiting area- Super clean, has TVs mounted to walls with a kid movie on at all times. Also has gaming systems and a bunch of toys. Dentist area- Wow! You have no idea how kid friendly it is. The walls are painted with an Oceanic theme and there TVs mounted on the walls for the kids to watch a movie as they get their teeth cleaned! Staff- EVERYONE is great. They genuinely enjoy their jobs because it reflects in how they treat their patients! My kids love the dental assistants, especially Uncle Rico. He is a lovable bear, no joke. He tells the kids to call him Uncle Rico and he talks to the kids, gets to know them, laughs with them and uses opportunities to teach them about dental hygiene and even about life! He told my kids that they should always be nice with one another bc they're siblings and family is important. He is just, hands down, so great with the kids. We had an amazing experience with Dr. Le when my son had a tooth that was bothering him and needed to be pulled. They got him in right away and took great care of him. The television screens on the ceiling helped divert his focus and the staff (Liddy was the assistant) was energetic and friendly. His experience was so good that he ASKED. if he could go back for a teeth cleaning. His little brother wants to go to Dr. Le's office for a teeth cleaning too. Dr. Le and her staff are amazing. I take all 5 of my children here and we have been coming here for 5 years. The staff are extremely friendly and Dr. Le takes her time explaining all procedures, including the pros and cons of materials used for fillings (white or silver). She is not aggressive with her diagnosis and treatment and would rather "watch" cavities than just "drill and fill" especially for baby teeth. Her staff are extremely helpful with insurance and always gives us estimates of our copays before procedures so there is never any surprises or ambiguities. I took my five year old daughter in this morning at 7:30 for some major dental work after we discovered she had a molar problem during her general cleaning visit a month ago. The staff experience was easy going but what got me was how they handled the extra bill that was never mentioned till the very end. Apparently when Dr Le tells you that it is not unusual to find other tooth problem during the actual work as xray doesn't show everything...do not assume she will go over with you whatever extra dental work she deems necessary and the extra bill that comes with it. When she asks if you have any questions or concerns after she makes that statement, that is her way of asking your permission. This was the case with me when I said I have no further question. Not till the very end as I was walking toward the car did the front desk girl called me back in informing that I haven't completed all paperwork. Back inside was when I told I had to pay an additional $762.00 fee for the extra dental work Dr Le's performed. And if i can't afford it, i had to apply for their care credit plan which essentially is a loan. All this was discussed in front of other parents who were waiting to check in their little ones. And here's the kicker (for your information). My daughter was too young so she had to be sedated by breathing into a gas mask. This involves me paying $350 fee to a third party anesthesia service company by the name MobiSurge who's main office is in Irvine. This fee is to be reimbursed since my insurance covers it. But what they didn't tell me is that MobiSurge hires another third party service to do the insurance billing which costs an extra 8% of the total reimbursement. And to top it off, this service slaps you with a collection fee of their own. In other words, MobiSurge hires a collection agency to do the billing of the insurance and you get charged you for it. Long story short my $350 reimbursement after $50 deductible, 8% fee, collection fee came out to $156. I am lost for words of the tactic they use to nit pick your pockets. read more

This has been a long, overdue review for our favorite pediatric dentist. I have been taking my youngest daughter here since she was 2 years old and still going at 16 years old. My daughter has always loved going to the dentist because of the friendly, fun atmosphere of the office and staff.
