We were looking for hard flooring that was pet friendly to replace all of our carpeting. We are having the work done a little at a time and the family room was done a few weeks ago. They were amazing and I am so happy with the work. My family room is beautiful! They did what we wanted at a price better than quoted by competitors, they've been super responsive when we had questions and patient when we took some time to figure things out or when life was so busy we didn't see emails from them. Had a kitchen floor installed last year. A few tiles ended up cracking a couple weeks after the installation. The company was very responsive and came out and fixed the cracked tiles with no issue. We are re-doing our master bedroom and found out about Ed's Flooring from a Google search. The showroom in Hooksett is very clean and organized. They have plenty of options and samples to see and everything is easy to find, and not overwhelming like the big box stores. We were looking at both solid hardwood and engineered hardwood samples for our project. Both Samantha and Vylett were very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. October 11, 2020 Dear Mr. Ed of Ed's Flooring America - Hooksett Location: As I'm sure you know, decorating a new home results in tons of new decisions when it comes to both color schemes and choices, particularly when it comes to flooring...because once it's ordered, that's pretty much a done deal. However, that process became much easier for both myself and my husband, all thanks to your very helpful staff of women at your Hooksett location. Personally, I stress over decorating decisions to get them right (as I'm sure lots of people do). However, Betsy, Kate, and Samantha made our flooring choices for several rooms in our new home not only easy, but smooth and fun! We made several trips to your store looking at floor samples. Betsy, Kate, and Samantha at all of our differing visits to your store put down flooring samples for us (and our daughter and son-in-law) to assist us in our choices, and took the time and effort to find matching samples of cabinetry and existing abutting floors that were already in our new-to-be home. (Try getting that service at the big box stores...you can't even find a person to help you at those places!). Kate, Betsy, and Samantha were all more than extremely helpful. There was no pressure whatsoever. Each took their time with us and all were more than pleasant. On two occasions, I had to call because I changed my mind on my first choices of flooring, and the service was more than commendable! At those times, Kate, Betsy, and Samantha changed our orders on the computer (I got the change in just in time) and adjusted monies and invoices at the ready, once over the phone and once in person, and with a pleasant manner, smiles, and friendliness that said: "No problem, I understand." For all these reasons, without any hesitation whatsoever, we heartily endorse and will, once again, shop at your Hooksett establishment. Please keep these incredible women employed at this location. My experience with Ed's Flooring started off well, but has gone downhill. We hired them to install a tile floor, granite counter top, and tile back splash in our kitchen. The pros: Great in-store customer service. We've been working with Joe, and he has tried his best to keep us informed every step of the way. The cons: Scheduling has been nightmarish. The granite guys showed up hours earlier than promised to do the template (luckily we were home). We were told they'd be back on Friday to install. Instead, we got a call saying they'd actually be there on Monday because the fabricator's wife had a baby. Why that had to affect the job, I have no idea. We were told, several times, that they would be there "first thing Monday morning." When 10AM came and went, we called Ed's, and the scheduler called the granite place to check in. She said, "Oh, they will be there within 20 minutes." An hour later, we get a call directly from the installers saying, "We're going to be late." We were confused - they were ALREADY late. The installers said that they were scheduled to come to us at noon, but wouldn't be there until 1PM. So basically we wasted the entire day waiting for them. When they finally arrived, they had our counter top and a cutting board. Unfortunately, we had asked for and were promised a cutting board of a completely different size than the one they brought. Over a week later, we're still waiting for the correct cutting board. Our back splash was scheduled to begin today. However, we got a call this morning saying that the installer would not be able to make it, and we're now rescheduled for next Monday. If my job didn't afford me the ability to work from home when needed, I would be very upset with having to take all these days off, only to find out at the VERY LAST MOMENT that I didn't need to. After the problems we've had, I'm dubious that the work will begin next Monday. We started our work with Ed's in October. Installers have been here on 5 days within that time. I just wanted a completed kitchen by Christmas. I didn't realize that was too much to ask for. I had been planning on recommending Ed's to other people, and I was even thinking about having them tile my upstairs bathroom. But at the point, I've just lost faith in them. I don't trust that the work will start when promised. I'm tired of planning my schedule around an installation that gets changed or canceled at the last second. I'm probably just going to use Home Depot from now on. read more

we had our bathroom done and no problems at first. However after a week,vinyl starting popping up like little round knoby holes. Problem with flooring. NOT installers. It took a few months to get the mfg. Jake and Eds flooring to come to an agreement that it was the product and had to do a reinstall. However, when time to install Jake told my husband all we had to do is take out the toilet and we had to pay a plumber to do so! Installers came in, took a look and said they WILL NOT install. We did not strip the bathroom from woodwork,doors, sink, baseboards and my husband told them Jake had not mentioned anything else but the toilet. They left. Had to pay plumber to come back on put toilet back in. Then had to wait 3 weeks for a new appointment and pay a carpenter ffor taking out doors, woodwork, baseboards, and the plumber once again. Jake did not like my tone of voice and language when I told him it was unacceptable to wait that long and that it was his fault for not communicating and we should not have to wait weeks for a new appointment, and he got pissy with my husband and took it out on him. THIS ONE STAR (if I could I would have given it NO stars) is for JAKE the person who makes appointments with installers. NOT the installers , OR EDs flooring store. Never spoke or said anything to installers. Samantha was great....she was patient with us and getting quotes out in a timely fashion (she gets a 5 Star) Now, I want another floor installed in my home so we call for getting measurements and lo and behold Jake calls and he said the installers will not come back. And he won't schedule them. Jake is the person that won't schedule the install because he knew he was wrong in what he told us had to get done to prepare for the installers, he was pissy on how I spoke up and he took it out on my husband. Jake wasted our time and money, and the installers time, where they could have been at another install that day. The installers had no problem being here or with my husband and they were very comfortable installing the floor and both installers and husband spoke, laughed and they did a wonderful job. So. 5 stars for the store, Ed and Samantha, 0 stars for Jake. And that's too bad, he brought the whole gang with him.? Pat Levasseur read more

The good: Hooksett store and staff very friendly, knowlegeable, and professional. Great selection of products, well laid out for comparison. Have not found this anywhere else. The bad: They tell you they have thier own installers, which some are, some aren't. We had one great guy, and one team that did an OK install, but made a bit of a mess which had to be cleaned up. Marks on doors, didn't vacuum after, etc. Overall, it's good and not as good as expected. read more

Horribly frustrated. In December, someone came out and did the estimate. He told me it would only be a slight upcharge to finish removing my carpet. I finally got back a quote (had to call several times), and proceeded to go ahead and try to book this. At that time, they gave me the news that they would not do the risers on my stairs, only the treads. This gave me great pause, because this was completely unexpected, and meant juggling additional contractors at additional expense, and additional time off from work- hard for a working single mom to do. After thinking about it for a bit, I called back and rebooked the job, and left a deposit. I again inquired about the risers. They said they wouldn't do the risers because of the possibility of lead paint- the same exact paint that was on my treads that apparently were no problem to sand and refinish!!! They sent me email the next day refunding my deposit, now claiming that they would not do the job for me because they would not remove my carpet. (This was yet another new "we won't do this part" bombshell). I tried to talk to them about working out something else, and they just flat out refused to even talk to me. I think my $1,000 job was just not worth their time and effort. I was in tears over the way I had been treated. My job is now delayed until at least the summer, as I had been counting on them to do it in the April timeframe they said they could, and did not pursue the matter with other contractors. I suppose in some sense it is a blessing in disguise- I'm sure there would have been another disaster down the road. I have yet to ever see any paperwork whatsoever from this place, despite their telling me that they had done estimates for two different jobs, and their being willing to take a deposit for one of them. My take on this place: avoid at all costs. read more

An excellent all around experience. Top quality merchandise, with exceptional guidance to ensure we picked the correct rug and color. Nice people, but bad prices for hardwood floors. Also, because manufacturers send different floors to different retailers, they may have floors that others don't and vice-versa. We went elsewhere, so I can't comment on workmanship. Shop around! read more

We had a granite counter top installed through Ed's - via RE Marble and Granite. We had nothing but great treatment and perfect installation from everyone involved. Jessica at Ed's was thorough with her measuring, so there were no additional charges due to amount of material needed. The template person was fantastic - very knowledgeable and willing to share his information regarding sink choices, options for choosing slabs, moving and reinstalling sink disposal and dishwasher. The only down side was that we did not understand that we had to have the old counter removed, sink taken out, kitchen not functional for the template process and then again of course during the install - which includes the day before just so we were ready when they arrived. That is something that anyone needs to understand when they take this project on. Initially the template guy came and saw that we were not ready, so explained the process and came back 2 days later. This made it possible for us to stay on target with our install date. The installers were an hour early, but I was ready. They got the job done quickly and professionally. Courteous and willing to discuss care of the surface. We had to have them back due to a slight imperfection in the stone - they were back within a week and fixed things so that nothing showed. Jessica at Ed's followed every step of the process and made sure that it was moving along at the expected pace and that we were satisfied with all aspects. No hesitation in dealing with Ed's, Jessica or RE Marble and Granite - all were tops! read more
