Manchester Wood Floors refinished the pine floors that were underneath carpet on the second floor…read moreof our older home, some of which were covered with paint and some were not. Overall we are happy with the work they did, but we won't be hiring them to refinish the first floor of our home. While they did a couple of things that we really appreciated, they also cut a few corners in our opinion. Cons: They hand scraped some areas after sanding, but did not sand the hand-scraped areas afterward so they are very rough when walking on them. Also, there are many areas where the paint was not fully removed. Because of their work schedule, once they started the job we did not see it until it was finished (ie we did not have an opportunity to look everything over after they sanded/before they applied poly and the floors were wet, even though someone was home at the time). If they had told us that there were areas where the paint was difficult to remove, we would have worked on it with a heat gun in the evening after they were gone because we really wanted all the paint gone. Pros: First, we had a closet transition that had a lot of damage, and they cut down the original piece of wood so that it would match. It looks good, much better than a new piece of wood would look. Second, at the time of the estimate he let me know that our stairs were likely poplar, a wood that looks green when it is unstained and finished with poly. One of us stayed home for the first couple of days of the job so that we could look at the stairs after they sanded them, and they were green like he said. They provided a number of stain colors so we could pick out which one we liked, and then they applied the stain to the stair treads. However, this one also involved a cut corner because they did not stain the top tread at the landing and had to re-do it afterward. It doesn't look the same as the others.

October 11, 2020…read more Dear Mr. Ed of Ed's Flooring America - Hooksett Location: As I'm sure you know, decorating a new home results in tons of new decisions when it comes to both color schemes and choices, particularly when it comes to flooring...because once it's ordered, that's pretty much a done deal. However, that process became much easier for both myself and my husband, all thanks to your very helpful staff of women at your Hooksett location. Personally, I stress over decorating decisions to get them right (as I'm sure lots of people do). However, Betsy, Kate, and Samantha made our flooring choices for several rooms in our new home not only easy, but smooth and fun! We made several trips to your store looking at floor samples. Betsy, Kate, and Samantha at all of our differing visits to your store put down flooring samples for us (and our daughter and son-in-law) to assist us in our choices, and took the time and effort to find matching samples of cabinetry and existing abutting floors that were already in our new-to-be home. (Try getting that service at the big box stores...you can't even find a person to help you at those places!). Kate, Betsy, and Samantha were all more than extremely helpful. There was no pressure whatsoever. Each took their time with us and all were more than pleasant. On two occasions, I had to call because I changed my mind on my first choices of flooring, and the service was more than commendable! At those times, Kate, Betsy, and Samantha changed our orders on the computer (I got the change in just in time) and adjusted monies and invoices at the ready, once over the phone and once in person, and with a pleasant manner, smiles, and friendliness that said: "No problem, I understand." For all these reasons, without any hesitation whatsoever, we heartily endorse and will, once again, shop at your Hooksett establishment. Please keep these incredible women employed at this location. They all deserve a raise and/or bonus for their above-and-beyond efforts for exceptional customer service and shopping experience...and all with a smile and a laugh that makes the customer feel like a friend of the family. Thank you again! Eddie & Denise R

We were thinking of replacing the flooring with new engineered hardwood or having the flooring professionally refinished. After weighing both options we decided to have the floors refinished, ripping up the existing flooring and replacing it ended up being much too costly! We started looking for floor refinishing companies and one company stood out among all the ones that we checked out and it was "Grgurovic Hardwood Floors"!We were impressed with their Hepa Filtration Refinishing process and after watching a short YouTube clip on their website, we were sold! Paul the owner was great at scheduling the job and communicating via text messages and phone calls! Paul, Ivan and his crew arrived on time to start the job on the scheduled morning! We also had Grgurovic Hardwood Floors replace all the carpeting in our bedrooms with matching red oak flooring and it flowed seamlessly throughout the house and was stained to look like white oak flooring and then finished with two coats of matte sealer! Paul and Ivan were also very detail oriented and respectful of our home! We were extremely happy with the results, so if you're looking to have your hardwood floors refinished look no further than Grgurovic Hardwood Floors!

We had the original 24 year old vinyl flooring in the open kitchen and bathroom/laundry (including the 1/4" underlayment). We also had carpet in a sitting room. Total area for new flooring was about 560 sq. ft. All of that was removed without any damage at all. We went with white oak to match what we already had in the foyer/hallway and adjacent dining room. Our existing hardwood was 2.25" wide (we kept that as is; didn't replace it), but we wanted wider 3.25" for the new hardwood. There were a lot of cuts to be made in the kitchen, but the workmanship was so good that you can't see any seams/gaps. A nice tight installation. Every room and closet was perfect. The new hardwood was snugly fit along every inch of all baseboards and under all door casings. The old/existing hardwood floors were refinished to perfectly match the new floors. Paul applied samples of four Bona stains that we selected to the new floor and then sealed them with Bona Intense sealer so that we could visualize the true colors in the room. We opted for Bona Nutmeg stain. The Bona Intense sealer makes the color of the stain come out more...richer tone. Then he applied Bona Traffic HD water-based finish, satin sheen. The job took 5-6 days. Paul also asked if we wanted to replace the dark brown metal floor registers with white oak registers that sit flush with the floor. That was a great idea that we had not even considered. Makes a big difference in the appearance. Paul provided the estimates mid-November, but we didn't want to have the job done until February. During that time, we exchanged numerous emails. Paul was very responsive each and every time and communication was clear. He and his crew are very professional and friendly. They are also very neat...never a mess or any debris left behind. It's a messy job, but the air filters really minimize any dust issues. We chose Paul over another person due to the great reviews he had and he seemed to be more personable and easier to work with. He seemed to be more of a craftsman and not just an installer. Great attention to detail. We definitely chose the right person for the job. We will definitely use him for any future flooring needs and would strongly recommend him to family and friends.

See before…read morecrown flooring and his crew I had a contractor that did work on my home and remodeled my bathroom by ( right down to the studs). After a year my toilet was leaking because he never replaced the seal, which damaged my floors. My bathroom needed to be re-done. I needed a new makeover for my kitchen. I called Crown Flooring, Michael came by, they took measurements, asked what I wanted. Colors, starting from the cabinets to the floor to the counter top. Because I had tile I wanted something that would keep my kitchen floor warmer. Michael came through for me. It was demo day. I was excisted. They put plastic up between my kitchen and the dining area. I expected hiccups. But not to this extent. Because of my last contractor who mickey moused the work. Crew noticed a hole in the ceiling where my toilet leaked, and a crappy repair under the sink in my kitchen. Which required a new subfloor. The crew showed me the problems, let me know it was fixable, not to worry. They had my back. Tho I was angry at the last contractor, I was relieved and no longer worried. The crew was methodical they paid great attention to detail from the cabinets to the countertops to the flooring. One thing out of place or didn't look right in there eyes they re-did it. The crew didn't except anything less but the best. The communication between Michael and his crew to me was nothing but incredible and prescious. They walked me through every step of the process, if I had a question they explained it to me. Before they left for the day, they swept, cleaned, neatly put all their tools in a certain area of the kitchen. I can't say enough about Crown For. I highly, highly recommend anybody that needs work done on their home to call. My kitchen was a total gut job. It looks amazing. Never know it was the same kitchen. The layout remained the same. This is my forever kitchen. Michael and your crew thank you. There is no one else I will use.
