I recently replaced my HVAC system, which this was the biggest appliance purchase I have made since owning my home. So needless to say, I did my diligence in researching contractors to replace my HVAC system. At the end of my research and several bids, I decided on Edison Heating & Cooling.
Dan Motola was the representative that came to my home and he did a thorough job at assessing my home, measurements, pictures, surveying each floor for the correct vents and returns to support the systems he recommended. I had already researched several systems and put in a good amount of work on learning the systems and had an idea of the system I felt would work for my needs, but Dan met with me and provided several options based on what my goal was. His approach was not pushy, but consultative and supportive. Even though I had thousands of questions, he always made time to address them whether it was with a call, text or email with professionalism. I never felt that my concerns and needs were not being met. I must say, this was the best experience I have had in a sale/purchase exchange. I cannot say this has always been the case as a consumer with other exchanges, but I can highly recommend Dan for such a purchase. He made all those typical anxieties one would have from the level of experience of the installers, the reputation of the company and any feelings of doubt that you are dealing with an honorable person go away. Truly, after seeing several contractors, these were qualities that brought us back to Dan in the end. Once we decided to go with Edison, the timeline from sign of the contract to installation was 5 business days and it was that long because of my schedule. They could've done it sooner. This was very helpful since my current unit was not working at all. Good job Edison.
This review would not be complete without mentioning the installers Eric S and Chris F. These gentlemen were the most pleasant, professional and skilled individuals at installing the HVAC unit. They arrived before the scheduled time, explained to me the process that will be taking place, laid the drop cloths, covered their shoes upon entering my home and treated my home very respectful. The installation was done within the time frame stated and the clean up was excellent. It was a true pleasure having them do the job and giving me a peace of mind that the job was being done right. I also would recommend these gentlemen and look forward to sharing my referral with my neighbors. I would give the whole experience a 10.
