Stained mattress. By the way, we were told it was a king bed and arrived to a full sized bed.

Horrible! This was a last minute stop on a long drive to fort Bragg. We needed to rest for the night and they were the only pet friendly hotel with an available room. They were kind but the rooms were disgusting and wreaked of smoke. I felt unsafe. We were promised a king bed and arrived to a full bed. The room was dusty and disgusting. The mattress was stained and we were greeted by one $2 thin Walmart pillows each covered in little girls stained sheets.

    Ratty furniture

Firetrap, Health hazard, and Flophouse. A horror show of a room where the furniture looks like it came from a dump and the drawers are filled with ugly stains that look like the bottom of a very old garbage can. The filthy fabric chairs look like they were swabbed in motor oil and grease. Black mold in the shower. Overloaded unsafe wiring. And for a grand finale, the water heater out back has it's vent even with the shower window so you can get all the fumes and carbon monoxide you want. Oh yes, and the wifi was too weak to use. I mentioned these things to the manager and he said they were trying to get things fixed but it all takes a lot of money.

We needed a place to stay and this motel was nearby and affordable. The staff was friendly enough but the rooms, especially mine, was terrible. The A/C unit was mounted inside the closet necessitating that the door be left open. This meant the flow of air was directed toward the bed thus making it very difficult to sleep comfortably. The furniture had large junks of laminate missing, the refrigerator door would not open completely because it hit the floor. The bathroom was tiny and the toilet paper holder was broken. The water in the shower fluctuated from very hot to cold the entire time I was trying to get clean. Wiring seriously needs updating and one couldn't help wonder how this place passes heath and fire department inspections. I have pictures just not sure how to post them in this review.

This set the tone for our first impression and it wasn't good. Also old rough fleece for a blanket is not personally preferred. The front desk woman was also not very welcoming granted it was 10:30pm. However, the shower pressure was great. The general layout of this little inn is cute. Free parking in a well lit area is appreciated. Breakfast was not free.

Unfortunately, it was seven hours away, so no one wanted to drive that far at night. Since my man happily considered driving the four of us if we could stay somewhere in between, I frantically looked on Orbitz while we texted back and forth where we could stop off. Woo hoo! Score! I found this charming motel with an old "Western" theme. The office was closed when we arrived around 11 pm, but a window was open to check-in. The woman who helped me was friendly and welcoming. I was surprised she wasn't grouchy since it was late! I'm so glad there was a room available with 3 beds!! The girls always fight when we're away on vacation since they hate sharing a bed. The room was spacious and spotless! There was a microwave that we didn't use and a fridge that kept our food and drinks cold. We were given breakfast vouchers at Lumberjack's for both days we stayed. Five dollars for each person! What an awesome deal!! Thanks, Orbitz!

This is the old Pepperwood Motel, and it's just a simple old roadside motel. It's obviously been around for a long time, but they have done renovations. I liked the place. I was in room 105, just across from the office. The room was basic. It was a bit stuffy when I first came in, but the air conditioner made it comfortable almost immediately. Everything was very clean, including the bathroom and the shower. The TV was a Roku TV, that also got Dish Network. So there was plenty of things to watch. The TV had a nice picture. The Wi-Fi was fast enough to stream video most of the time, although just a couple of times, I did get a tiny bit of buffering. Overall, not bad. . (I don't know if the Wi-Fi signal changes if you get further away from the office. ) The bed was a little bit firm for my personal taste, but everybody's different. I still got a good night's sleep. There was a desk that you could either work or eat at, there were plenty of plugs to charge my gear. And there was a both a fridge and a microwave in the room. There were some scuffs on the furniture, and a little chip in a corner of the shower, but hey, that's just cosmetic. There were a few small things. As I said, this is a basic motel room, and there is not a closet, or a place where you can hang your clothes. The shower had plenty of pressure, and plenty of hot water. It takes a few seconds for the hot water to come on. Also, the shower has neither a bathmat or a grab bar, so you do have to be careful while you are taking your shower Also When I got there, the batteries in the remote were low, and the bed only had two pillows, and they were kind of flat. I went to the office, and I got new batteries for the remote, and I also got an extra pillow. The people that run the motel were very nice. Overall, this was a good stay. I would stay here again. Thank you
