Willits is a logical stopping point on the way to the Redwoods, the coast, the Skunk Train etc. However, this is a one horse town pa'tner. In the olden days,The highway used to go right through it and was dotted with motels on it. This motel was here then. You will enjoy this place if you set your expectations correctly. As of June 2025, this is a newly renovated mid century motel. The rooms are very nice and match the website. So, i took a couple of shots outside the rooms. If you have a young family or a pet, it's hard to beat in this town. Location is not walkable to too much, Taco Bell, McDonald's etc. Oh, no breakfast as there is no lobby.

Although the office had closed they had easy instructions for late arrivals. I looked as the paperwork that was left for those not arrived yet to see what spots were previously reserved and found a great one with a view not taken yet. Hookups were easy, grounds were clean, people were friendly and out our back window was a paved walkway along the cliffs with a fantastic view. We only stayed one night but would go back again.

The gentleman we spoke with was excited we had a small enough trailer to fit into space 58, which is in the back corner along the coast. The space was very easy to get in to and the hookups were simple. Bathrooms are VERY clean and the entire site is spotless. We loved the proximity to the Noyo River Grill when we didn't feel like cooking. What made it a 5/5 was how sweet the staff is. We arrived the morning after we were supposed to check in due to trailer connection issues and they waived our first night fee. Thank you guys!!

For partial hook up, 10% military discount, the price was around $61, and were able to pay online. We checked in late after the office had closed where they left our site info for us. The grounds are clean, quiet and luckily we had the showers/bathrooms across from us. The showers require quarters, where if $1.25 for a 4 minute shower. Both the bathrooms and showers were well maintained and clean. We checked out in the morning. We definitely recommend and would come back when passing through.

AC unit worked, the room had windows to open, and ran hot water. Cons: the room smelled so terrible, like wet dog. It is a pet friendly motel. It was a very strong odor and the room was just so musty. Thankfully by having the fan on full blast with the windows open we were able to air out the room of the stench. Why they don't air it out while cleaning? I do not know. But the room was not very well cleaned either... we brought our own blankets and pillows to sleep with because we didn't trust that the bed was clean... I would not choose to stay here again, but it was a solid last-minute option.

Location was…read moregood, just a half mile or so to go out on Pomo Bluff and see the harbor and beautiful sunsets. But, room was too cramped to maneuver with my walker. Big round table and 2 arm chairs are in front of the window. My husband had to turn sideways to get by it all to get into bed. Did not show this in the picture of the accessible room on their website. Also they have a tall standing fan in the corner (room is warm at night). Again, not in photo of the accessible room online; extremely difficult to get to, needed for my husband to push the table and chairs out of the way to get to it to plug it in to use. Just trying to open the window meant pushing aside some furniture, too. Bathroom has great grab bars in the tub/shower, but nothing to hang on to when getting in and out. Did not feel safe in doing so. Would seem to be an impossible accessible room were you using a wheelchair. When I talked to the manager about the room and it not being like it shows online, he got very rude and told me we were not welcome to come back. That's okay.....don't plan to. If you are in need of an accessible room, you should plan to stay elsewhere, too.
