My Fiancè and I had a wonderful time here! Almost like a dream. We took our 35' Travel Trailer here, don't let the other reviews scare you if you have a big rig. Just go slow, I saw a lot of large 5th wheels come here. Theres a small boat launch and we kayaked up the river for a couple hours. Saw otters and seals almost every day. My fiancé and I stayed here while traveling through California and it was hands down my favorite place during our travels. We drank our morning coffee outside our 35ft travel trailer while watching the river, seeing deer, otters and seals! They have a spot to launch kayaks and canoes 45 seconds from where we were parked. The bathrooms and laundry room were clean and smelled nice. The town of Fort Bragg is so cute and has many beaches and hikes to do all while being so close to Dolphin Isle. Staying at Dolphin Isle was like a dream and I can't wait for us to return. read more

They have concrete ok parking spots, staff seemed nice. The people who live in their RV's there act like it's an HOA. Complaining to each other about how we "kept turning our motorhome on and off" They also complained about the littlest things. Also for the price it's not really worth it. It's also kinda far from town so you can't ride bikes or anything to town. read more

We stayed here for a week in mid June. I honestly wouldn't recommend it if you're a family with young kids; there's no amenities like in other parks (no playground or even grassy areas) & a lot of sites are right on the river, which would have had me on edge if I had young kids running around. But that was what brought us here. We wanted to be close to town and also be able to just drop our kayak/paddleboard right in the Noyo River and go. For that, it was perfect. We had the river right out our back windows and even watched a seal sunning itself right from our RV one day. As long as you're not looking for fancy, this park is a great place to stay while exploring the surrounding area. read more

The staff was super nice. It's a small little harbor with people who live there long term. It's all pavement parking and not alot of grass. It's got a great access point for kayaking and we used the heck out of that. Awesome to paddle up the little river behind the place. We would go back. read more

I stayed here back in June over fathers day weekend. It was a little trip with my dad and brother. We didn't have much planned, other than hanging out, drinking some beers, and going fishing. Got there, checked in, headed up to the vacation rental. It was a nice 2 bedroom apartment with full kitchen, bathroom, private patio with a grill. Furniture was all newer and very modern/ikea-esque. The deli downstairs serves breakfast and lunch, and sells snacks, soda, beer, random knick knacks. We had breakfast down there one of the days and it was good. Nothing over the top fancy, just good 'ole home cooking - eggs, bacon, sausage, country potatoes, toast, burgers, soups made from scratch. This place is located at the end of the road so it's super quiet and laid back. There were some RV campers there and they were just hanging out and bbq'ing. Overall it was just really kick back. The highlight of our stay (in my opinion) was going kayaking with Liquid Fusion Kayak. They are located right there at Dolphin Isle so it was super convenient. I'll write a review about them, but it's pretty nice that this is located onsite. read more

Great RV park. Huge spaces...very quiet and right on the river. Definitely out of the way enough for me. Lots of full time residents, but everyone here is really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the cost. $45 a night for a TT is really high IMO. But, all the RV parks here are high, other than MacKerricher, but that campground doesn't have RV hookups so I guess I can't complain :) Also have to add that the people who work here are AWESOME! I called a week ahead of time to book my spot and the guy on the phone was really nice and helpful. VERY different than the other campgrounds I called in Ft. Bragg. That alone will keep me coming back to this place! read more

Nice location, on the Noyo River at a marina just a few minutes from town (Fort Bragg). The office is attached to a restaurant and marina. The office closes at 4pm. There are no tent sites, just RV. There are a lot of locals and long term RV'ers here. There are two bathroom/shower/laundry facilities. One is locked and needs a key card that the office gives you, the other has a missing lock and is always open. There is one shower stall and two bathroom stalls per facility. The women's shower is horrible, a cold shower is free but if you want hot water you put a quarter (about 2 minutes) in a very rusted out box (doesn't even look like it works). The water pressure is super strong and the drain is horrible so you end up standing in a pool of water 4 inches deep, disgusting!!!!! That was the worst shower I have ever used!!! The men's shower is free for hot water and my husband said the water pressure and drain are fine... The staff are nice, I got a spot the day I called on a holiday weekend, they had 10 spots available when I called. There is a pair of ospreys that have a nest in a tall dead tree across the river from the sites. The marina is at the end of a road, very private, quite cold too. The restaurant at the marina is supposed to have good clam chowder and food, we didn't stay long enough to try it though, it closes early. I wouldn't stay here again because of the women's shower, otherwise it was nice. read more

We were looking for a place to put in our kayaks; the public dock had a fee sign (just $3 for parking), but no place to pay the fee, so we headed down the road to this marina to ask if they knew how we could pay the parking fee. The friendly young man at the Deli counter told us he wasn't sure, but that we were welcome to park and launch our kayaks from the marina... no charge! Just avoid the RV parking areas. After a wonderful and scenic trip on the Noyo River, we exited and returned to the deli for lunch. My wife had a roast beef sandwich with potato salad and I had a hamburger with macaroni salad. The hamburger was advertised as the best burger around and it really was! A large third pounder with thinly sliced onions, tomatoes and lettuce cooked perfectly on the flat top. The wife commented that her sandwich was also delicious. Both the potato and macaroni salads appeared homemade and were both excellent! Fusion Kayak is also located at this marina if you want to rent kayaks (we had our own). The Deli is open 7 AM to 5 PM and offers a variety of reasonably priced breakfast and lunch items. This is now one of our favorite places to kayak in the Mendocino Coiunty area as its both a great place to yak and has a good place run by nice folks for a bite to eat. read more

Five stars based on our criteria. We have a large motorhome and the sites are large. Great. The sites have water, 30 Amp electric, and sewer connection. Great. Very reasonable rate. Great. Very quiet and serene. Great. Less stars if you need much service. Deli, store is under total renovation so nothing going. No tent sites. So low key, zero offered. Bring your own fun. A number of other nearby campgrounds are very close to Highway 1 so noise may be an issue. This place is dead quiet Place can be great or a real bust depending on what you want. read more

This place is bare bones in some respects, but hey ... you're on the river, with sea lions & harbor seals. Has electric & sewage hookups. Some folks live here, but most spaces are nightly rentals it looks like. Crusty, in a good way. Very dog friendly. read more

The place allows poop to be pumped from a broken pipe for over 45 minutes into the ocean they also hold your packages and hope they don't give him to you they had one for over a week and male manager charges you for a month if you get on the 2nd you have to leave on the 1st believed he told us that today and also he said there were some coming into that spot and then got mad and said that he could charge is a $1000 a week for the same spot that he charged $750 for the month Showers laundry Room toilets don't work properly He came up to us and said that we had to leave because someone was pulling in and then he called the cops and said that me and my wife were domestic violence yelling at each other show the sheriff showed up and we were even yelling at each other I was packing up and she was yelling at the manager the manager drinks alcohol all the time in does not like to have anything brought up if you complain you will get kicked out they allow 10 You guys have to leave And then the manager and his wife and kids called every campground in RV park in Fort Bragg in that area and told him that we had a domestic violence that day so therefore no or repark or travel trailer place would take us due to the fact that that manager lied And for someone to have schizophrenia and be able to yell because I only way they can get whatever is in their head out discriminated against is also a lawsuit I would not stay at this park there's people that are have the cops there on a regular basis for drugs and also for drinking and fighting at other spaces but they don't get kicked out for domestic violence like they did us today even though we weren't yelling at each other they were she my wife was yelling at the manager read more

Tried to stay here. Called, told them we needed bathroom and showers and that we would be in after hours. No problem they said. However when we arrived, no info, welcome packet, nothing. Could not find a soul. Can't get into the bathroom without a code and no code was provided. We left. read more

This deli has good food at reasonable prices. The burgers are great and are BBQ'd to order on a grill at the back.

This park is not easily accessible you drive down this narrow road to get there that's not in the best shape. Checked in and wasn't told that you need a key card to get into the bathrooms or shower . And yes they charge for a mediocre shower for a dribble of water could barely get the temperature on hot and get the soap off you. They also don't have the dumpster accessible so you live with your garbage. read more

Great facility. includes boat dock, cleaning rack, trailer & tent camping. Office/restaurant/bait and tackle store has it all. You can even rent the upstairs fully furnished two bedroom place for cheap!.. We paid $100 per night for 15 nights which included a boat dock space for our boat. Easy walk downstairs to go fishing and there is gas at the docks. You can order off the menu and have it delivered upstairs or enjoy eating outside on the deck. Great views, perfect weather with good ocean fishing, crabbing and diving. This place has it all including many beaches to explore and the town of Fort Bragg nearby. Mendocino is 15 minutes south. read more

After a very harrowing trip down 101 and Highway 1 in our RV, we needed a place to stop for the night and sleep. Some parks in Fort Bragg take only cash, others would charge high fees for having kids. I've had enough and decided to hit 20 and go east toward Willits. I didn't get far, less than a 1/4 mile. There were signs on the right pointing to a campground, so we turned and followed the road all the way around day parking, then the marina, then it ended at this little shop that had some RV spots. We arrived very late at night, so no one was in the office or the store. We drove around the RV park and realized they didn't just have a few spots, they had a ton of spots. We found one (45), backed into it, hooked up with a breeze, got our dinner done and then slept... very peacefully. The next morning, we got up and saw that our RV spot was on the river (now that it was daytime, we could actually see). There were ducks and geese and we'd read on here that you can sometimes see sea lions. I walked over to the office to check-in and square-up. Greg charged me only $30 for my nightly stay. No extra charges for kids, no extra charges for anything. I got back to the camper to find 4 hungry kids and a hungry wife. Since this was also a restaurant, we decided to eat breakfast here as well. The woman behind the counter (never got her name) took our order, made all of the breakfast (6 people eat a lot), and we devoured it! This is home-cooking at it's best. I was told that in the busier months, the place is a city with every RV spot filled and every dock space moored. Next time we are in Fort Bragg, we'll definitely be staying here! read more

What a fun place. We came for lunch last week on the suggestion of friends we were visiting. The food was cooked to order and soups were home made. Way better than any campground in Albion! It is secluded, easy water access and the people staying seemed to follow the rules better than any other campground I have ever been to - keeping dogs on leashes, picking up after them, and keeping the noise to a minimum. I was told the bathrooms were clean. The fishing was great and the cleaning stations they have are top notch! Will definitely be back! read more

We just stayed 3 days there and enjoyed it very much. It is not that fancy or upgraded like some parks, but clean and very friendly people there. All 3 familys enjoyed the weekend there. If we go to Fort Bragg camping, we will use them again. Warm days and cool nights were just perfect by the water. read more

I know my husband posted but I have my own opinion. He should have mentioned the Deli first. Wow. Open on Mondays, 7-5,when a lot of places are closed, lots of sandwich choices and friendly service. It's a small place,but the food was just as good as a giant deli. The meat is cut fresh, the onions are cut so thin they're translucent and the lettuce is wavy-just like any other fancy place - but served on a paper plate. The potato salad was home made. And I heard you better get their quick if they just made crab chowder, (crab as well as clam) cause their soups sell out fast. The marina is old, quaint and very clean. Just the place for a step back to a better, simpler more friendly and sweet time. Make sure to follow the signs on the SOUTH harbor road- not the busier North harbor road (The Harbor has 2 sides and 2 roads to them) This is on the recreational harbor side. It's all the way at the end of a small road- like a hidden treasure- it's worth the time to find it. read more
