We stayed in a Yurt. It was clean, spacious and comfortable for our family of 5. The Yurt had a nice kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Family is what the Narrows is all about. Fridays have a nice community fire by the lakeside for s'mores and socializing with other guest. Every Saturday night is movie night by the lakes edge. The Narrows truly wants that family chill vibe at the resort and does a great job of creating it. This is not the place to come for drunken loud partying. I know other guests and I really appreciate the wholesomeness of the entire resort and the experience it provides our families. I watched my young daughter catch her 1st fish ever, from the dock. She talked about her newfound love for fishing and swimming with the other kids, for the entire drive home. My older kids paddle boarded across the lake. The kids loved the pontoon boat ride around the entire lake, with rope plenty of swings dotting the lake. The afternoon ice cream from the on-site store for each of the kids in the afternoon were a daily highlight. The Narrows is doing everything right to make it all about families and we will definitely be coming back annually.

Mildew/mold sickness is totally real and can cause serious problems; I'm not trying to scare anyone, but simply bring awareness. I know, as it took me months to recover from mold intoxication from 2024. MG needs to revamp their shower facilities as there is black mold in tile work and floor. Bigger ventilation will kick it. I was overwhelmed with a waft of mildew when I opened the shower door. Also MG, you guys really need to stay on top of keeping the bathroom(s) clean. I encountered disgusting habits from females. So gross...too nasty to mention. I don't understand humans. Be clean and respect others. If you don't mind screaming kids running through your tent area, damp camping, and icky bathroom behavior, cool. If you do, skip it.

The staff stated when we got there that they couldn't wait to get out of there to go home, meaning Texas. Since the captain left the pool is closed. The management was using a mole poison on the lawn where pets and people lounge.Our towel was stained and the floor under the bed unswept.Barbara could use a lesson in customer service. The lake was absolutely beautiful as usual.

We reserved a boat and arrived at the designated time. The boat we were given, we found had an almost dead battery. I called the office from the lake and the manager told us to just click the breaker switch. So doing this we limped a little farther up the lake and then the battery died altogether. I once again called and the manager said she didn't know if she had a boat to retrieve us, but she would call back in 5 minutes. After 15 minutes we hailed another boat from the resort and asked them to tow us in. They said they also had been given a boat with a dead battery but were able to get back in and switch boats . When we got back to the dock I saw the manager and asked for a refund. She flatly refused and had her employees remove us from the property. I was with my 10 year old grandson and my 82 year old disabled husband. We were set to at least use the beach for the day, but no. Now day passes are no longer a part of boat rental . So she had her employees, who were red with embarrassment, pick up our belongings and usher us out the gate. This was such a change from the way the resort was run under the owners. I heartily advise avoiding this business until new management is installed. It's a shame really because we visited several times each summer with family and friends. We won't be back unless we hear things have changed for the better.

I brought it to the attention of the maintenance guy to kindly ask when they would be cleaning next, to be answered with," I'm not sure, you can drive to the other bathrooms." Brought it to the attention to the guy in charge at the front, where I was then rudely spoken over as he answered the phone mid conversation, to then continue with their regular lady has Covid and he's had complaints about this maintenance guy a few times now. He did ask to give us free ice but I declined and said I just wanted clean bathrooms. Then to top it off, as any camp night slows down around a fire, laughs are had and stories are told, a worker comes over to tell us to be quit and accuses us of being on drugs(acid) to be exact. SMH. What a completely ignorant moron. Yes we were laughing and being a little loud, but no excuse for a worker to speak to any guest this way. Owners apologized but like I said for what we paid, the cleanliness, the distance some of us drove and how we were treated--would not waste my money again.
