Katherine is phenomenal!! She is a fantastic stylist and really listens and is detail orientated. She is also the most lovely, caring person. My son was always nervous of getting his hair done, until he met Katherine. Now he is excited to get his hair done! She is the best stylist!! Highly recommend! read more

Katharine is absolutely amazing, I was preparing for a job interview and she made my hair look perfect, boosting my self-esteem and making me look 10 years younger. I actually cried when I saw the results, which has never happened to me before. Lastly, Katharine is very kind, and thoughtful; a real pleasure to chat with. read more

Booked a massage with Leah and was so pleased with the experience! She was welcoming and made me feel so relaxed. I look forward to my next appointment with her! read more

Bre is a great stylist! She did my hair exactly how I wanted it! I have been there a few times and I have never had an issue!

Re review I am re-reviewing my edges Salon review I'm changing my review because the edge Salon team made an effort to correct what it happened on September 12 with myself and my aunt, they redid my aunt and my cousins nails at a different date and they had a wonderful experience. I'm hoping the experience I had with the edge of Salon was just a one off and I plan to go back when I'm back in Calgary. I gave the edges Salon team an A+ for correcting their mistake read more

Had a great experience at edges with Jamie, he did a perfect wash and cut in under 45 minutes which was great for my schedule. Will be back again! read more

*Be aware, was quoted one price on their online booking system then was charged $50 more when all was said and done. I mentioned this and they only offered a $10 discount on my next visit. Cut and color was below average and something I could've paid half the price for. Likely not returning to this salon. read more

Unsure why this salon has so many bad reviews on Yelp. I went two times and had 2 different stylists. I think both of them were level 2, however pricing was different the second time. So maybe they raised pricing at some point. (First time I paid $55 and 2nd time $75, that doesn't include the tips ofc) I thought the first time was super cheap! David is an artist, he asks you what you want first and then make some recommendations and let you decide on what you think is best. I was extremely happy with my cut, he really took the time to make sure that my haircut was even (not always the case with stylists!!!) and spent a good amount of time making some adjustments to make sure everything was perfect. This salon is very cosy and they have an impressive amount of stylists. The first time I went, it was crazy busy, second time was better. Never had to wait anyway! They take care of you right away and the receptionist comes to remind them that their next appointment has arrived (in case it would take them more than 75 min to complete your haircut). None of the stylists ever tried to sell me on products so that's a great thing, I also love the fact that they are NEVER trying to talk about silly stuff if you are not in the mood. They do their thing and won't try to bother you unless you want to engage with them of course!!! I have had stylists who were talking all the time at other salons and it's annoying. Highly recommended! And you can also book online (directly from Google). I called once and was put on hold for 10 MIN!!! Unsure what happened as it was the very time it ever happened but anyway, next time I'll book online. You can check their schedule + book with your stylist. They also offer complimentary fringe trim. (You can also book this one online) read more

Great salon and services!!! Staff are great :) the salon is clean and has great vibes.

My experience with this salon was two-fold and for the professional woman with standards, self respect and wanting any form of privacy - STAY AWAY FROM EDGES SALON! It was bad enough that I was charged full price for sloppy poorly colored hair and even after speaking to the owner Michael, who was dismissive and rude - I was shocked how little he cared- I was sent away with Terrible Expensive Hair- The second injury from this terrible place was from an unprofessional stylish by the name OMAR who had the audacity to openly talk in the salon about me behind my back- a paying customer- shame on you Omar! People listen- other patrons that I know were there and heard you and informed me- they are appalled by your unprofessional behavior!! This area of town is a close community and gossiping and saying terrible things will upset our community! You will notice an exodus of other professionals as they are moving to other salons for your terrible business practice! The owner demonstrated total disregard and Omar with a terrible gossipy rudeness that will lose him patrons- read more

I believe that my experience at Edges was the single worst experience I've had at a salon or spa, ever. I arrived five or ten minutes early for my appointment at 11:00 on a Sunday morning. I was politely greeted by the receptionist, who asked me to take a seat until the stylist was ready. I had a seat and was brought a chocolate truffle and a cup of tea. As I was waiting, I observed a customer leaving the salon after a pedicure. She wanted to pay, but the computer system was down and the girls did not know how to get the system back up. Instead of taking the customer's details and processing the payment later, they made her wait an inordinate amount of time while they fiddled around with the computer. I felt terrible for the woman, who was obviously in a hurry to leave and getting stressed out. At 11:00 the receptionist told me the stylist would be done with the customer momentarily, and they offered me more tea. 11:15 rolled around and I was getting a bit antsy. I gave the receptionists some questioning looks, and they kept telling me the stylist would be done in just another minute or two. At 11:35 one of the receptionists came over and said to me, "Your stylist is actually home sick today, but we'll fit you in with someone else." I was FUMING that I'd been lied to (obviously the stylist was hungover or something and just hadn't bothered to come in) but my roots really needed touching up so I agreed to see someone else (plus it was my first visit to Edges so I didn't have an established relationship with any stylists). I was taken to a chair and greeted by a male stylist with a Tim Horton's cup. He commented that I was lucky he had showed up early that day. He then proceeded to do my color, which turned out okay. When the color was rinsed off he said, "Now you'll see Another Stylist for your cut! I've got a client!" I had NOT agreed to be shuffled between stylists and was once again miffed. The girl who cut my hair also did a rushed job, and it was quite possibly the worst haircut I've ever had- I requested a Heidi-Klum-like bob and ended up more like Snookie from Jersey Shore! (When I returned to Swizzlesticks a few months later with my tail between my legs, the stylist there was SHOCKED by how ridiculously short the girl at Edges had cut my top layers). By the time I left the computer system was back up and running, so paying was quick. The receptionists offered me a little makeup case filled with four Guinot samples as an apology. Talk about tacky- LYING to a customer, getting CAUGHT in your lie, and then shuffling them between stylists... and you apologize with SAMPLES? If the receptionists had been honest from the start, and not pretended the stylist was there when really she wasn't, I might be less angry about being shuffled around. However, it just seemed like from start to finish the salon was poorly run and poorly organized. I will be keeping my business at Swizzlesticks (even if I have to drive ten times further and pay for parking)! read more

I booked a manicure at Edges last weekend. Although I'm typically faithful to Sunshine Nails, they aren't as thorough as I would like and with this dry climate, my cuticles need some extra TLC. I've been to Edges years ago, so I gave it a shot. I do like the decor, however it feels slightly dated. I was led back to the spa which is dimly lit and relaxing. There was a small waiting area with magazines and snacks but in full view of the pedicure chairs. I was glad there was nobody there during my appointment, as I'm not sure I'd want to watch them slough dead skin off of someones feet while I was enjoying a cup of tea or a cookie. The esthetician introduced herself and took me to the manicure station which was small, but clean. All of the tools she used were prepackaged so I felt really comfortable. The manicure started off GREAT - she was extremely thorough and took care of ALL my dry cuticles. She also took her time shaping my nails, which was quite relaxing. Things were going well. When it came time to choose polish, I decided on a dark grey gel. The color itself is beautiful, but the paint job was awful. She painted the middle of the nails, but completely neglected the sides of my nails. I asked her to fix them, which she attempted to, but couldn't seem to grasp the issue. I ended up going home and trimming all of the excess polish off of my cuticles, which she had no problem getting polish on! For as great as the manicure itself was, the polish was super sloppy. Disappointing. Finally, we got to the hand massage, which is one of my favorite parts of a manicure. She did each hand/arm for approx 2 minutes with the lightest possible pressure - hardly a massage, more just putting lotion on me. Afterwards, she quizzed me on the products I used on my skin (I wasn't wearing any makeup, and this made me feel a little self conscious!). I WAS actually interested in hearing her advice, but it just felt like a huge up sell. I was there for a manicure, and I felt pressured into a facial and microdermabrasion - thanks but no thanks. I definitely wont be back to Edges anytime soon. read more

OMG! SINGLE WORST SALON EXPERIENCE EVER! We have used Edges 3 times before today, all 3 times were for my husband's hair styling. Today we had some errands to run in Crowfoot and he needed a haircut, so we called to see if we could get something last minute. His regular stylist wasn't in but they booked him within an hour or so of us calling. Let me start by saying that my husband USED to go to barbers, and anyone who said they could cut hair, and pay $10.00-$20.00...I convinced him to start going to a stylist for a better quality cut (not just a buzz). Well now I'm screwed. The stylist was a young guy with tattoos and a funky doo, fair enough...(I just didn't catch his name), looked trendy and with it...so whatever. He gave my working, professional husband, a trendy, urban, UNEVEN faux-hawk. Even our infant was shocked. My husband had to ask twice for him to cut the top shorter and the stylist objected and got upset or offended. He talked about how barbers don't know what they're doing when they cut hair evenly. Honestly I could have done a better job with a weed whacker. $50 later, we went home, shaved his head (8:00am management meeting and we didn't get out of the salon until 8:30pm). I am just as upset as my husband, I'll be calling tomorrow and complaining. I appreciate everyone has a style, but don't you think you should ask what the customer's is FIRST?!?? Or at least ask if they're happy with it on exit? Why on earth would you be offended if they didn't like it? Do it right! Additionally, my husband used these services at my urging...my infant and I waited over an hour for this crap and we weren't acknowledged or offered a water or coffee (I thought that was rude). read more

I agree. I have been here numerous times and tried different people. I have been lied to and had my appearance damaged because of them. The only person that was ever good there left shortly after I even met her. So that tells you something. My last visit, that made me walk away and never look back, was my wax job that ripped skin right off my face. I don't tan, I don't take meds, I don't use chemicals on my skin that make it so it would cause this type of thing to happen. I have worked in salons and spas, so I know better. And if their aestheticians are so qualified, and licensed, they should know better too! This happened before, with another person at the same place and I thought maybe I can find someone else to go to who knows what she's doing...nope! They may have plenty of staff and they talk the talk, but they sure can't walk the walk. They can't cut hair and they can't wax...two very basic services. Makes you wonder how bad you would feel if you had a whole spa day here and spent 500$. Please don't bother with this place... read more

The front end staff is just horrible. 1) They don't know what is offered in a service as per the information they provide on their website. 2) They're all nice and smiles inside behind the desk but while I was waiting for my ride the receptionist came outside and was dropping f-bombs on every fifth word on a very loud phone call. 3) can't do basic math with gst 4) don't answer my emails 5) don't make proper notes on my account 6) don't care about the customers as their response to "I'll take my business somewhere else" was "thank you, goodbye" 7) I'm handicapped and have difficulties getting the door open. The door is right in front of them and they don't offer any help. Other customers did but not them. Had a few haircuts and dye/hair streaks from them too. But the service was so bad on that end too I stopped going. 1) wouldn't give me the cut I asked for as it wasn't 'in style'. He then took 'artistic license' and did this horrible thing with my bangs which I had to then fix at home. 2) went for a head massage and deep conditioning and they kept asking "why I wanted this". I explained I wanted the massage and deep conditioning is always a good thing. His response was to just roll his eyes. I had gone in for a consultation appointment with a Spa specialist who kept asking me about my kids and husband. Neither of which I had. She made me feel horrible for not being married and not having kids. I've had dozens of massages from them too. Which range from great to horrible. I used to go there all the time but stopped because of the frustration I felt. I thought I would give them another try. It was a mistake. There is one spa specialist she has been working there for a long time and is so sweet. But I can't get past the rest of the rubbish from numerous visits. I would not recommend this salon or the spa. From numerous bad experiences I would suggest any other place especially at that price point the service should be better. read more

I used to come to Edges for when I needed to get a Brazilian wax. The reason why I chose this location was because it was near my home and it looked much more professional than going to a nail salon that offers waxing. The first time I came here, I was very nervous as it was my first time getting waxed, let alone it being a Brazilian. I was greeted kindly, and ushered towards the waiting area which was small but comfortable. I had an appointment with a woman named Grace, and she didn't make me wait long. She was very nice, and made sure that I wasn't feeling any sort of discomfort with the whole situation. I really appreciated that because I didn't really know what to expect. My experience with Grace was great, so if you plan on heading here for waxing you should definitely ask for her :) However, the price I paid for the wax was a bit steep and is what has kept me from going back. If I remember correctly, it was around $110 including tip. I think that you can definitely find a place that doesn't charge as much and provides the same services. Just as Cat S. said in her review, for the price you pay, there are much nicer places to go. read more

horrible cut horrible service Pretentious and the worst quality of any of the higher end salons I have visited

I went here once a few years ago for brow waxing and a haircut. The esthetician did a good job with the brow wax, but seemed almost offended when I asked her to trim my eyebrow hair after the waxing. She claimed that this would change the whole look of my eyebrows; even if it does, it's better than having long hairs sticking up or down. I've had my brows waxed many times, and no one else ever made a big deal about trimming. The haircut was good, but a little awkward because there was a girl there watching the stylist the whole time; I don't know if she was a student, or job-shadowing, or what the deal was, but I wasn't even introduced to her or told what was going on and it felt odd to be watched the whole time. I agree that this salon is over-priced. read more

I booked a massage at Edges as I have some work benefits to use up before the new year and while the massage itself was great (Tyler is fantastic), the receptionist and other employees who run the spa/salon are downright awful. First off - prior to booking my massage, I inquired about a credit I had on file. I returned some foundation I bought there a few months ago so the credit should have been for around $45 give or take. They only had $2 on file for me and when I kept asking if they could look into it they kept telling me they had new computer systems so they had nothing on file - weird as their computer system actually had on file when I bought the foundation. Sadly, I've given up on ever getting this credit back as I've been asking about this for the past month and no one has gotten back to me. Secondly - I went to go pay for my massage and I asked for an insurance receipt so I could put the massage through with my health provider, pretty standard. They told me that Tyler was only claimable through blue cross and I was furious as I had called them on December 16th to ask if I could claim him through Manulife and they said yes. The receptionist ended up asking some random employee if Tyler was claimable through Manulife and they said yes so the receptionist ended up just writing his RMT number on my receipt even when I asked if I could have an official receipt with his number typed up - again not an unreasonable question as I know other spas have much more professional receipts written up for you to use for your claim. I'm going to put my claim through tomorrow, I hope it goes through. Morale of the story is I should have read the reviews on here first before booking. This is a terrible business and what actually was a great massage with Tyler was overshadowed by poor service before and after. read more

I booked my mom and I to get the Deluxe Oxygen Blasting Facial but when the aesthetician came in she told me that service was only for maintenance, those who were in between facials but that she would have a look at my face to see what she would recommend. Once she had the bright light and magnifying glass on me she recommended the Hydra Peel and when I asked the cost it, she told me it would be $130. The Deluxe Oxygen Blasting Facial was $75 so I said no. When I spoke to mom in the vehicle how her Deluxe Oxygen Blasting Facial was, she was told by another aesthetician (we got them done at the same time), that her skin needed more and charged her an additional $25 and did NOT do the Deluxe Oxygen Blasting Facial. The more we talked about it the more it felt like it was a scam. It was not stated on Edges menu that the Deluxe Oxygen Blasting Facial was only for maintenance, nor did the person whom I booked the facials with say that it was for maintenance only. The Hydra Peel is priced online at $110 NOT $130 like they wanted to charge me. I DO NOT recommend this salon. read more

So I was a little cautious after seeing the reviews here on Yelp, but went ahead and booked a spa day for me and a friend - manis, pedis, facials and massages and the experience was WONDERFUL. Yes, the little lounge area with the fireplace is in front of the pedicure stations, but they have a beautiful gauzy curtain so there is some separation. The decor overall was dim and calm and restful. The staff was amazingly attentive! They kept offering water and tea and coffee. Stefania did a great job on my mani, pedi and facial. She was wonderful and friendly and chatty, without being intrusive. I love that when you walk in, they have you choose a mini polish for your mani/pedi and you get to take home the rest of the bottle. I never felt rushed to move on to the next part of the appointment, Stefania took her time, and I did not feel pressured to upgrade any of the procedures I booked. My massage with Jacoline was out of this world! She released the tension in areas of my body that I didn't even know massage could help (like my ears). They don't offer "spa packages" specifically, but if you book 3 or more major services, you get a 10% discount off of each service, and a complimentary spa lunch. The spa lunch was a very pleasant turkey wrap and fruit salad. There are cookies, banana chips and almonds available to snack on. I will definitely be back to book another appointment. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did miss some of the spa amenities like robes, shower and steam room. But it was a great experience, and even at a reasonable price! read more

I was needing a new look and after hearing good things about Edges Salon, I contacted them. I explained what I was hoping to have done and they matched me up with Eric Armitage. When I got there the staff were welcoming. I also noticed that they had good covid protocols. I came prepared with pictures of the color and cut I was looking for as my inspiration. Eric asked me questions and was very knowledgeable, talking me through the steps we would take so I felt comfortable moving forward (I get a little nervous with change). He also was very kind and professional. The hair wash included a warm towel on my neck and a scalp massage. A+ right there! I left feeling great. The next day (after taking more time to see my hair in different lighting), I realized I would have liked the front of my hair to be a bit brighter. Hesitantly, I contacted Eric about it. I'm a little shy to bring these kind of things up after I had a bad experience with a previous stylist. Well, I'm so glad I mentioned it because he was super understanding and helpful about it. He booked a time for me to come in and he threw in a few face framing highlights. It was perfect! I left feeling and looking like a million bucks. Definitely will be going back!! read more

I booked a massage here as the location is convenient for me. One thing I really noticed is how cramped it is. There is a sitting area around a fireplace where you can have a cookie and water to wait for your service. Its so tiny, I was sitting there and my view was of the people getting pedicures. I could literally see the calluses coming off of some woman's feet and I could follow the conversation. Not exactly relaxing, and I didn't see any magazines and wasn't offered any. The massage was fine, I did like that she used hot rocks for part of it although it wasn't supposed to be a hot stone massage. For the price I paid, there are much nicer places to go. read more

5 1/2 hours from 5 pm to 10:30 pm for highlights in medium long hair, terrible experience for my daughter, I was wondering why she did not want to go back and she told me she called the day before the appointment to change the app from 4:30 to 5 pm, and when she arrived to the salon the next day, the girl in the front desk was rude , she told her "thank you for coming half and hour late", smiling. Excuse me? She called the day before and there was no problem with it, why are you so unprofessional. I didn't know about this, this happen 3 months ago. I'm glad she is not going back and I will never go back either. read more

I had a hair and make up appointment here recently. I booked a level 1 stylist, who was pretty friendly and seemed to be competent. However, the curls she put in my hair did not stay through the night, the pins she put in my hair were hurting my head after 6 hrs, and the style she made wasn't exactly what I showed her in the pictures (it was ok though). I guess you get what you pay for. Regarding the make up, the lady was really surly. Since the hair lady took half hour longer than expected, this cut into make up time. The make up lady told me that she will try to do what she can in the time left but it will not be a complete job. So, I asked her either for another person who can do a complete job for me or a discount commensurate with the work she did. She later changed her mind and said she would be able to finish. The make up was not great -- she had done some really weird contouring of my cheeks that made them look dark. She had only one color for a lip stain (other wise was going to put on a very light, easily removable lipstick). She asked me to put on my own mascara. Throughout, she was very obstinate and did not want me to keep looking in the mirror. Once I was able to see myself in the mirror, I had to ask her to scale back on the make up she did (i.e. the Cat Eye was really elongated and thick, something I did not want. read more

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. That's all I have to say about this place. I went in with a Groupon for a pedicure today. Should have been a spa pedicure valued at $88. All she did was paint my toes. It's a lovely pink but certainly not what I would call a value of $88. I will go elsewhere for my next pedicure. read more

I've been getting my hair cut at Edges for a few years, but I have finally found a stylist that I keep going back to. Patrick is great because he's not afraid to offer his advice when I ask for it. He offers helpful information about products he's using without being pushy about selling them, and every cut I've had has been fabulous. Hel helped me deal with my hair while I was growing it out for my wedding, and then helped me find some style again after that. Haircuts used to be just something I had to do every once in a while, and now I actually kind of look forward to them. I also like seeing the same person every time I go, because he remembers me and asks questions about things we chatted about before. I highly recommend Patrick at Edges! read more

Two weeks after getting a manicure at Edges and I can't stop talking with everyone I meet about my experience. I initially went for a gel removal and manicure with a new gel polish. My nails were long, all the same length but a little more squared off than I like so I also asked for a more rounded nail but about the same length. I came out with every nail a different length, nail polish pooled against the cuticle and nail polish missing from some of the edges of my nails. (I didn't realize this until I got into the sunlight - it is kind of dark in the spa.) When I phoned to suggest that the manicure wasn't as good as I had hoped for, the receptionist kindly offered a manicure n/c as long as it was with the same manicurist. Big mistake! She (the manicurist) said that the missing-from-the-edges chunks was the polish I selected-that there really was polish there, you just couldn't see it (could have fooled me!) and that all nail polish pools against the cuticle (really what was I thinking - doesn't everyone know that nail polish is supposed to pool in big globs against the cuticle?). She did a re-polish with a sanding drill that totally destroyed my nail tips and - here is the worst part - charged me another $40 (this on top of a $60 initial fee so over $100 for the worst manicure(s) ever). Oh and before I forget, even if it had been an acceptable manicure (which it so was not) this was so not a relaxing - get-away-from-it-all spa experience! I listened to how she (the manicurist) was making $120,000 a couple of years ago (at the spa) but business is slower with the recession and all and that is why she has gone back to school to get her Engineering degree (she is in her third year) to add to her degree in Architecture so that she can move to Mexico to work as an engineer; that she supports her dysfunctional and unhealthy Mom to the tune of just under $1000 per month; that her sister's kids are brats; that she (the manicurist) has had cancer several times and is scheduled for another lump removal but it got postponed because of the flood; that she met her husband's mistress at her husband's funeral, that she (the manicurist) hates doing manicures (what was my first clue to run)...there was a pile of other trivia that I really didn't want to hear about but she did have the drill in her hand after all. The aftermath....Sorry, we aren't done yet. My nails - totally destroyed by this incompetent manicurist and her power drill all broke off (some to the quick) within a day of my manicure. Remember I went in with beautiful long nails! Thank goodness, I only wanted my nails perfect for my niece's wedding, not my own! If you have $100 plus to throw away, don't really care about your nails, want to listen to the entire litany of what went wrong with someone's life and how she survived - sort of, book an appointment soon (before she gets her Engineering degree and moves to Mexico!). Otherwise do yourself a favour and book into anywhere else on the planet - really. PS When I initially booked I asked if she (the manicurist) was any good. I was assured that she was - that she had been with Edges for 12 years and was the best! What are you thinking Edges? If you spent some time looking for someone competent instead of getting all your staff to write rave reviews, you might actually earn rave reviews....but perhaps your primary goal is to get the no-repeat business. I have gone to Edges Salon 5 times now, each time to see Mo (highly suggest you book with him) he listened to everything that I wanted. Created the most beautiful balayage for a very low maintenance color which is EXACTLY what I wanted in order for it not to look bad as it grows out, I have never had a bad experience. All staff are extremely friendly, coffee, tea and water were all provided. NOT TO MENTION THE HEAD MASSAGE. Probably one of the best parts right there. My hair my wallet and my heart are all very happy with the results achieved here. Thank you Edges! read more

I visited the stylist at Edges that I have been seeing for over a year to do a regular trim so that we can grow out layers that someone put in my hair and keep my hair long. I confirmed with her: No layers, Keep it long. It was an ok visit, she cut my hair and styled it straight. When I shampooed my hair the following day I noticed layers and it was completely chopped off. All my friends and family commented on how short my hair was. I was so upset it was not what I asked for and I now have to re-grow my hair. I called the salon to let them know what happened and asked for my money back. The Manager told me they never give customers their money back and offered me a discount cut from the same stylist I have been seeing. I declined and insisted for my money back. No budge. I have been going to Edges on and off for a long time but I feel so disrespected and unappreciated that I will never go back to Edges and I tell everyone I know not to visit this Salon. read more

When I try a new hair salon I always ask for the owner. Then I know. If he isn't good, I don't bother going back to someone else. Mike is very good. He knows hair very well and does beautiful colors. The only issue I have here is the price and the time it takes. For a hair cut it took 2 hours and for the color it took 3 hours. Both were great but cost 408.00$ without tip or tax. Very pricey! read more

NO STARS!Thank you for giving me the opportunity to provide feedback. I came into Edges for my first time to get an eyebrow shaping for my upcoming wedding taking place at the Banff Springs Resort November , 2013. I grew my eyebrows out for 8 months so that they could have the best shaping ever. I came out of Edges with 2 DIFFERENT types of eye brows after a 5 min waxing job that didn't include any tweezing. all for $35.00!! I would have been better off leaving them grown out!! My fiancée, mother and 15 closest girlfriends all noticed my eyebrows the next day at my bachelorette party and said they are BAD!!!! In a nice loving way. They also said who the heck did that to you!!!??? I AM DEVESTATED!!!!! My wedding is in 2 weeks and I have no clue how I am going to reshape them. One of them has 2/3rd hair and 1/3 is bald and shaped like a tear drop and the other is the appropriate length but is arched like a evil witch! I am going to have to pencil them in according to a real professional who basically said I will have to wax them off to fix this!!! I am never going back to EDGES again. I hope this helps anyone from the same horrifying results!!!!! At the end of the day I am going to be great, I am marrying the man of my dreams and it will be beautiful, my friends and family are loving supportive and honest.. just the way I like it. And I will not make the same mistake 2 times by allowing these people to take part in my beauty regimen. read more

I purchased Unite brand of shampoo & conditioner before we went on vacation. Both shampoo & conditioner are a deep purple color as I use it because I have grey/sliver hair. I packed it along with my other hair products in a zippered bag. When I unpacked, I discovered both Unite products had leaked out of the cap, even though the cap was on tight & closed. What a mess & clothes were ruined. When I went back to the salon the owner told me there was nothing wrong with the product & did not think they were responsible for the fact that change in air pressure caused the bottles to leak. Same thing happened on the way home, except I had wrapped the bottles in bags, so leakage was confined to the plastic bags. Other shampoos in the same bag were fine. However, now the bottles are almost empty. This also happened this summer when I was traveling by car, even though the caps were tight & closed. I was so surprised that I just thought I had not closed the bottles properly. When it happened on both trips, I knew there must be a problem with the containers. Owner of the store was very rude & I can not believe they would not stand behind a product line they sell, even though the containers are faulty. read more

Basically, I went in with blonde hair and just asked them to touch up my roots (which are dark) and put in a few foils. Believe it or not when the hairdresser finished my roots they were darker than my natural hair color!!! And if you think thats bad, she got offensive when I told her she didn't do what I asked for and that it needs to be redone. She tried to send me out the door with black roots and blonde ends! Finally, I told her I can't go home like this so she ended up bleach washing my hair which made my ends dry and brittle. This turned my roots an orangy brown. At this point my hair was too damaged to try and fix it for a few week so I just left. Oh and the highlights werent bleached properly so they were orangy and brassy too. I called in a day later and told them that I am moving out of town in 2 days and I am really not happy and the hairdresser herself has suggested I don't do anything else to my hair. Not only did the manager not give me a penny back, she told me I was wrong and that I was happy when I left the salon!!!! All in all I ended up paying over $150 at edges and then paying another$180 for color correction when I left town. read more

People go to salons and spas to be pampered, to relax, and to feel good about themselves. My experience was anything but all those things. I went in to get my lashes and eyebrows tinted- something I had never tried before- and I was disturbed by the service I received. The receptionist was very nice, but the aesthetician was very nasty, as well as 15 minutes late and upset that I had booked the appointment last minute. I quickly learned that she was unhappy with the appearance of my hair, makeup, and eyebrow shape, and gave me large quantities of advice as to how these "problems" could be fixed. Since it was my first time getting a tint done, i had no idea what to expect. I quickly found out that " a little bit of stinging" turned into burning in my eyes. The lady, being very nasty, told me that I was being the most sensitive person ever to receive the procedure and was reluctant to remove the dye. After she did, she made some more nasty comments about how " it could look much better if you weren't so sensitive". I left the salon with blurry eyes (something that was not explained to be a side effect) and 40$ down the drain. We are all beautiful and deserve to be respected, and I will be taking my business elsewhere and advising others to do the same. read more

Booked an appointment for help with blending my hair extensions in with my hair, I figured that with the right layers my extensions would blend more seamlessly with my hair. Booked with a senior stylist, I thought awesome this girl will know what she is doing. So I went in, with my hair straight, and the girl just started clipping in my extensions and went at my hair with scissors. No shampoo, no blow dry and style. Just full on attack with scissors. At the end of the appointment I went to the front to pay and was charged $112.00.. for a trim of my layers with no shampoo.. When I asked why it was so much, the girl said that I was charged double because my extensions were also cut and counted as a hair cut... Excuse me? My hair extensions are supposed to extend my hair therefore not be cut at all. Not feeling so happy I paid the amount and left. Once going home and removing my extensions I noticed that the extensions were all left alone un cut but one that had a 2 inch section that had 3 inches taken off of it. I was furious. My extension was ruined and I was charged double for it. When I called the salon to complain the manager said that I was wrong and the stylist did the right thing, they did not owe me anything. When I mentioned my whole family was customers and we had been loyal for years, he did not care in the slightest, said that there was enough business that he did not need ours. Needless to say I have never gone back. read more

I am so upset.I stopped by Edges and asked how much highlights would be on my long but fine hair. I was quoted around $100. because I would just be having the roots coloured expected that $100. may be $140-$150. because again it was just a quote and I booked the appointment with a Junior stylist as a Senior stylist would be $200. and up.The stylist I had was great very nice and did a good job however I may have to go back for a bit of color due to over processing in some parts. I told the stylist that I did not need my hair blow dried as it is fine and straight anyways and would really not look any different after I left he insisted that he would do it.I went to the front to pay my bill. I was stunned when I was charged $225. for highlights and shampoo. I paid it and left in disbelief called after the shock wore off and spoke to the manager who informed me that you are not allowed to leave the shop without a blow and style and that my fine hair had twice the amount of foil of a normal highlight and that the $225. was fair.Again the stylist was great but I feel like I have been taken advantage of and grossly mischarged. Sadly I will never go back. read more

I was looking for a massage in the Crowfoot area and found Edges online a few hours prior to booking. They were very helpful with getting me in on short notice. When I arrived I was amazed at how nice the facility is, very professional and clean. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and brought me back to the waiting area right away. The waiting area was very peaceful and I did not have to wait long for my massage. The massage therapist, Tyler was great. He did exactly what I asked for as my back and neck were very sore that day. After the massage he was waiting outside the room with a glass of water with cranberries in it (very classy!). He asked me if the pressure was good and was very interested in my response. He wanted to make sure he did a good job, and I was very thankful. While I was paying they gave me a booklet of coupons to use for the next time I come in. Overall I was very impressed with the service from start to finish! read more
