My wife and I discovered we had a dead battery in our Suburban 1/16 upon leaving bass pro on a cold snowstormy Saturday. Multiple individuals tried to assist in boosting us off including bass pro employees (separate positive experience) with no luck. Chevrolet dealer service department was closed but did recommend Edgemont wrecker service and we discovered why. Upon arrival he tried his super heavy duty booster and the vehicle started. I let it run a couple of minutes and began backing up when it totally died again. To my chagrin I frantically began trying to call edgemont again only to discover he was still in the parking lot waiting to make sure everything was ok. He told me he'd just walk back with his booster and try again which it started back up. He had me to drive closer to his truck to check things out including a check of the charging system to ensure it was just a battery issue. The battery was still under full replacement warranty which if I could get to an advance auto they would replace. After a few minutes he told me to start driving and he would follow behind. If it died again, turn my flashers in and he would hookup and tow me to the AA store. We left the lot as described with him following me and we made it to AA (almost-vehicle died as I was pulling into the AA parking lot, leaving it setting on the sidewalk just barely off the street) AA replaced the battery, vehicle started right up, and they checked the charging system which was good. I have dealt with Edgemont towing on a couple of occasions ,,first time they towed a van for me and they delivered it at my mechanic,,the second time was last night,I had a jeep broken down and I had just gotten it back from the mechanic that day,,Edgemont didn't tow this one,,I called them and was telling the guy where it was and I had just gotten it back from garage,,and he said you might want to look at this hose it is where the mechanic would have been working and he could have hit it and broken the line,might save you a tow bill and another mechanics charge,,but I don't care to come tow it if you need me to,,I checked it and it was a hose 10 min to change,,he saved me a couple hundred bucks in towing and labor,,I am very happy with there service and I will use them again if I ever need to and would recommend them to anyone , read more

Please, refuse to use Edgemont towing services because Edgemont is only interested in squeezing out as much money from you at your own expense. We wrecked our car and even though we wrote on a legal document that the sheriff gave us to state specifically where we wanted our car towed, Edgemont ignored it. Guess where they towed it. Of course, they towed it to their own lot and is now charging us extra money for the car sitting on their lot. Not only do they refuse to tow our car anywhere we ask but will only take cash and at first stated that they did not deal with insurance companies. It seems they do deal with insurance after all. If you are low on money, you are screwed. We had specific needs and reasons why we needed it towed to a certain car shop. Our insurance company said they would take care of it and hopefully everything will get straightened out. I am hoping for better, no thanks to Edgemont. I understand they need to get paid for towing the car out of the ditch. I have no qualms about paying them for the honest work of towing the car out. However, we had to go to the hospital before their first tow truck arrived and had no way to make sure that they towed our car to the written address. They had to use two tow trucks, apparently, because the first one they sent could not get the job done. They did not tow the car to our mechanic's car shop because they had to get paid first. I understand they have to get paid. What I do not understand is that they did not leave the car at our mechanic's shop. The cars he works on are outside in his gravel lot parked in rows, so it was obviously ok to do so. What it seems to be is that they selfishly refused to take the car to any lot but their own so they could force even more money from the injured, rightful owner by charging for "storage." And by the way, their "storage" is a meager, tiny fenced in gravel corner of a lot next to their run down building for their business. read more
