I was then given a nice rope and slippers to change into. I was also offered some refreshments, which of course I went with the mimosa. Then I was asked to go into a room where I got my facial. Channel asked me what my concerns were and what I was using on my face. One of the things I told were my problems with blackheads. While doing the facial she made sure to extract them all. Shanice…read moreand Sheniel opened Royal Zen in early 2021 and they are doing a fantastic job with their spa. The location is conveniently located in Rochester and has plenty of parking. Finding the right building can be a bit confusing, but they are labeled so that made it easier. The rooms were heated nicely, which was very pleasant given it is so cold out! The massage itself was fabulous. The tables were plush with warm blankets. They started the massage with hot steam and a sugar scrub, which is rare for massages and we definitely appreciated the additional skincare. They then went into a long stroke massage with oil and put a lot of attention to tense areas. Another great part of the massage was the use of hot stones and towels - very relaxing! A feature that I find very unique about Royal Zen's massages is their music choice. The first time my sister and I went it was classic R&B and this time it was smooth jazz. Shanice and Sheniel are experienced enough to massage to the beat of the music, which made the experience very memorable! Overall, Royal Zen is a fantastic place to get a massage! Shanice and Sheniel are very nice, sociable and welcoming. We will definitely be back again :)

I went to Bare Element for my first ever dermaplaning appointment and had a great experience. The…read moreinside of the Greece location is small, but I was the only customer at the time so it wasn't crowded. Before the procedure, I filled out a waiver that explained what dermaplaning was and possible side effects, and I appreciated that they were honest about what the procedure entailed. The procedure itself took about 20 minutes (estimate) and just felt like someone scratching my skin a bit. It's hard to explain, but it was never uncomfortable. First your skin is cleansed and a hot towel is applied to soften skin before the procedure. After, I had the choice of a Vitamin C, collagen, or moisturizing sheet mask (I went with collagen), which was left on for about another 20 minutes. Finally, serums and creams were applied. I had brought my own sunscreen, but if you don't have any they will also apply that for you. Overall my experience was great and I would definitely re-book for another dermaplaning appointment!
