I went to Bare Element for my first ever dermaplaning appointment and had a great experience. Before the procedure, I filled out a waiver that explained what dermaplaning was and possible side effects, and I appreciated that they were honest about what the procedure entailed. The procedure itself took about 20 minutes (estimate) and just felt like someone scratching my skin a bit. It's hard to explain, but it was never uncomfortable. First your skin is cleansed and a hot towel is applied to soften skin before the procedure. After, I had the choice of a Vitamin C, collagen, or moisturizing sheet mask (I went with collagen), which was left on for about another 20 minutes. Finally, serums and creams were applied. I had brought my own sunscreen, but if you don't have any they will also apply that for you. Overall my experience was great and I would definitely re-book for another dermaplaning appointment!
