First I scheduled a trial and my stylist cancelled twice over the span of about a month. At this point it was only two weeks before my wedding and they couldn't fit me in with another "senior stylist" so I went with another random stylist and understood appointment would be free of charge for the inconvenience. However once the trial was done (it took almost 3 hours and still wasn't quite right) I still had to pay 95+ tip as apparently only the hair cut was free (25) and I still was expected to pay for the styling. Then we get to my wedding day and I am supposed to have a senior stylist but was cancelled on a THIRD time the day of my wedding and was only told once I arrived at the salon. The same girl who did my trial did my wedding hair and I didn't complain much because who wants to complain on their wedding day? My bridal party also got their hair done and it was all beautiful but mine took an extra hour compared to my bridal party even though I requested a very very simple style , just curls and a little bit pinned back, and it came out very poorly despite me trying to steer the stylist in the right direction. I had to redo my hair completely afterwards even though I paid over 100 for my hair. I curled it myself and had a wedding guest who happened to do hair help me style it. Took less then 20 minutes and was perfect when we did it ourselves. After the wedding I looked back at the photos they took at the salon and I can't believe they let me walk out like it was! Totally falling out, messy, asymmetrical and bobby-pins showing (Photos from the salon and by the time I got home) About 3 weeks after my wedding when all the celebrations were done we called this salon back to explain what happened and ask for a partial refund or at least something. My mother who called was accused of "extortion" by the owner when she said she was calling before I posted this review... which is an honest review and we wanted to give them a chance to right it before complaining online. Then we were told we should have planned my wedding further out which has nothing to do with them messing up my hair so much. In the end they said they would call us back and it's been 4 days now. Overall really disappointing, This was the most stressful part of my whole wedding. They should have done more to compensate me or at least done my hair well... this was my WEDDING hair for crying out loud.

I look forward to my hair appointments here because I know they will work magic on my hair and listen to everything I have to say about it. My stylist always asks all the right questions about my hair type, texture, and how I'm regularly taking care of it. She's knowledgeable about the science behind my hair as well, from growth to dryness to volume. She asks how I like to wear it and gives me tips to help me achieve what I want with my hair. Plus, the staff all seem to be friendly with each other and having fun, which always makes an environment feel more positive. I have nothing but good things to say about Gallery Salon and would happily recommend it for folks looking for a new salon.

The cut and style was exactly what I wanted. I really liked the interior decor of the salon, with the exposed brick and modern design. They also have merchandise for sale throughout the salon. They have a pillow/cushion inside of it so you're not resting your neck uncomfortably on the side of the basin like at some other places. -*Shannon is delightful-she gets 5Stars!*--…read more I have gone many times with Shannon & had a delightful experience (she is super!) but the 2nd last time I went she was busy so I saw Katie who was horrendous. I'd been growing out my hair I showed pics and clearly said I only wanted an inch off. she repeated this back to me. One Inch no more. Then She sliced off over 18". EIGHTEEN INCHES !!! I said was unhappy but there's nothing to be done after that. I asked her to stop cutting. Then she cut a 2nd, different crazy angle. I demanded she stop. Another senior lady came over to try to fix her mistake , she did a 3rd, totally different angle. So 1/2 may head has 3 different angles and the other side was still long. 22" on one side above my neck on the other. I still tipped her 30%, not before grabbing a hunk of my own hair off the ground. I left. This is 2days before my bday too. I went in to talk w manager next day, she excused her with the old "maybe she didn't understand" blah blah... I showed her the ref pics (all super long) and the 18"hair hunk she hacked off me and she couldn't believe it. Other stylists came to look at the mess. Everyone shocked. I said if Katie didn't know difference between 1" vs 18" , she had no business cutting hair. So, They set me up with another stylist to fix it. I she did but I went from the longest hair I'd ever had to the shortest Id ever had. And never planned to have. It was now only 3" in the longest place above the spine's bump at the back of my neck above that from where it had been over 22" long in the longest part of my back the day prior when I'd requested a trim of "no more than an inch". It Took 3 years to grow back close to this and has been 5 years to get it to the same length and in same healthy condition. I waited more than 5 1/2years to write this bc I'm still mad @ that awful Katie. She never admitted fault or said sorry. All her coworkers all shook their heads. The salon made it right but now I had to double tip 30%+ bc I didn't want anyone to say I was cheap or didn't tip +30% +even though she literally ruined my hair for 5 years + wrecked what I'd worked on for five years prior. So basically a decade. I have them 2 stars bc Sharon gets 5stars but Katie dragged them down to 0stars, the place made it right but the experience w/Katie was so poor I can't in good conscience give over 2 stars - it's taken 5.5years to write this as it was that bad and prior to that rotten Katie, the salon itself and Sharon were so good. The lady who ultimately fixed it all did what she could. She was in the awkward position of having to rectify it and also has to work with her still so I understand her neutrality, she was lovely I have since forgotten her name but she was stoic due to circumstances but fine. She saved my head but needed to take off much more due to the 3 misshapen angles in the back quadrant. As such, my over 22" hair was shorter than 3" by the time it was styled. I haven't been back since. Tl;Dr: Shannon = 5 Stars, salon=4 stars, other lady 4stars, Katie = 0 stars, minus due to taking 18 inches off instead of one inch.

Met with the owner on Friday was quoted one price, however after arriving on Saturday to start the process the price changed to double the amount. I showed Diane (stylist) a picture of what I wanted my hair to EVENTUALLY look like. I know from talking to Michelle (owner) on Friday that it was going to take at least two sessions, price was told to me $225-250. I was quoted by Diane on Saturday 155.00 just for bleaching my hair, if i then wanted baby lites in, it would be 3 something!!! What exactly is 3 something, is that an amount they decide they want to charge you after already pricing you something completely different?? I felt like I was being scammed and taken advantage of. I asked the stylist to rinse off the bleach , I paid, which I should have just let them call the police and deal with it in court, but I paid 140.00 to walk out of the salon with orange hair. Michelle (owner) called and before I said anything I wanted to hear what they told her, of course it didn't match up and it wasn't just because I was there and witnessed it, but I recorder the session and definitely different than what was told to Michelle. Michelle said this isn't about money, but yet refused to refund my money but offered services in exchange.
