I first reviewed ME over 4 years ago giving it 5 STARS. Not anymore I have been a loyal subscribing member for over 8 yrs paying monthly. I asked ME to stop charging me UNTIL I can go back with out having to wear a mask. I certainly understand the need for a Mask but much of the enjoyment would be leaving. I wanted to stay loyal but just not come until the majority of the COVID-19 problem has passed. as of that moment I had the equivalent credit of over seven hours of massages and I've already paid for. ME would NOT allow that, I pointed out if you don't allow it I will leave and never come back even though I've been paying monthly for multi year. You're going to lose my money either way but if you allow my account to be hibernated instead of losing a happy loyal Customer you will beginning an angry ex. I have been coming to ME for a while now, and I love it. Personally, I have had no bad experiences. The staff are always so friendly. I get massages, facials, and stretches. Each of my providers takes the time to get to know me so I feel more comfortable with them as I am a minor and female. The only advice I would have is to always make sure you have another appointment booked, because they book out a few weeks! I'm also on the cancellation list which helps. The only reason they're getting 2 stars is because of the ONE employee that provided amazing service to my wife during her visits. Otherwise they'd get a 1 star rating. We had to freeze our account due to some out-of-the-blue financial issues. You would think that a freeze means it's frozen until you unfreeze it or the time allowed for the freeze runs out. Nope. You have to tell them month to month that you want to keep it frozen or they'll charge your account for the membership. The first time this happened they over drafted our account, but were willing to refund as we hadn't understood the month to month basis. The second time this happened we had received a notice that starting in September of this year, they'd no longer be doing 'frozen accounts' but would honor all frozen accounts up until that time. So we thought we were good till then. They charged us yet again and this time told us they don't do refunds. Funny that have a bank statement that shows otherwise. We will be cutting all ties with this place. read more

DO NOT SIGN UP AT THIS LOCATION, I REPEAT, DO NOT SIGN UP AT THIS LOCATION UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE PERMANENTLY TIED INTO A FAKE CONTRACT. My wife was a steady paying client for YEARS and wasn't able to make a scheduled appointment on a particular instance due to a true emergency with us losing power in our home. They still charged her despite her trying to cancel. On top of the terrible customer service she politely asked for them to cancel her membership with them keeping 4 months of credits in their pockets and they literally denied her the ability to do so and said it wasn't possible without a doctors note, a doctors note that would take 15 days to process which will still incur a monthly charge. When asked for a manager there was none, when asked for corporates phone number, they said they didn't know (a quick Google search took care of that). We had to cancel her debit card and put a block on any charges made from Massage Envy because of their refusal to let her out of the membership. Come to find out they were still able to charge her on her Apple Card because of a random purchase she used it for TWO YEARS AGO. So they went back into her transaction history to find another payment option and charge her the $75. We are currently disputing the charge since she is no longer a member and having Apple put a block on their end as well. So if you're willing to be tied to them for the rest of your life, by all means go ahead. read more

Terrible experience overall. Started with a bad Massage which scratched my neck... which was made worse by the manager not making the situation right. I had been a ME member for years (no longer) after having multiple poor experiences at this massage envy, enough was enough. Getting a massage here has been a gamble. Some have been very good, but some have been bad experiences. *side note: massage envy lies about the massage times. For example: one "30 minute" massage is only 20 minutes of massage time, if that. The massage was good. On my way out, they say me down "for a glass of water" but then tore into a very aggressive high-pressured sales pitch for membership. I strongly, clearly, politely told him no several times, directly trying to end the conversation, but he continued until I got up and left. So any joy or relaxation I got from the massage was immediately lost and I ended up feeling very annoyed - the opposite of how one wants to feel when leaving a massage. read more

I really enjoy this place. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. They really make you feel at home, which is good because sometimes getting a massage can feel a little awkward. I first came here because if you've never had a massage at a Massage Envy their price for an hour is $39.99, and I needed a massage bad. After that their prices go up to $79.99 for an hour, which is still very reasonable. They have many options from facials to to deep tissue and aroma therapy. They also have a membership: $59.99 a month and you get a free massage a month plus discounted rates for any massage or facial after that. Highly recommended! I love my membership. The therapists are great. They make sure you're comfortable and you're getting the right pressure. They also explain what they're doing and at the end make some recommendations for you if they find anything they think could be off. I gave this place 5 stars because everything here is a perfect experience. From walking in the door and being greeted warmly by the front desk and the warm aroma in the air, even calling and setting up your appointment is a breeze. The therapists know what they're doing and work with you to make sure your massage is exactly what you want. The prices are affordable. This place is amazing! read more

I could not be more disgusted in a professional establishment. My Husband and I have been members of ME Greece for 2 years, buying a second session each month. And up until this last few months have been happy. I called the store to request a manager to call me to discuss issues- and was told that a note was placed on her desk- to not receive a call back 5+ days later. I called again today and the manager denied having a note. I asked why they cannot meet the needs of customers, own up to any wrong, ask why they say that they have 'logs' of appointment confirmations (that have never occurred) I then requested to cancel as they can not schedule me for months! I pay each and every month but they cannot meet my needs. During the summer I froze my account- but instead of freezing it, they kept trying to charge an old credit card number charging me a fee for each failed charge. The BBB & AG will be hearing from me- flash back to the class action suit of 2016?? THERE IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE at this location. They do not own up to ANYTHING and do not try to mend any damage that has been done. They could have EASILY kept me happy by offering a session or 'store credit' but when you rub elbows with customers and take no fault, be prepared for the outcome. I don't wonder for a minute why they struggle to keep therapists employed. read more

Finally decided to call it quits... they seem unable to retain good masseuse, I request firm pressure and don't get it, and most importantly they were canceling ALL THE TIME. I'm a member at the Monroe NY site which I am very happy with. Decided this location because I was on vacation and wanted to treat my brother to a massage. The staff was great, very easy to make an appointment. My brother's first massage was customized just right for him and my therapist was very attentive too. The only reason they did not get a five was because the atmosphere was not as inviting as the Monroe, NY site. The tranquility room seemed very generic as well as the rooms. Absolutely the worst run business I have ever been a member of. I have a had a membership for a year here. And have continuously booked appointments months in advance and they continue to cancel them. We have only been accruing appointments due to every cancelation not being able to be rebooked for months. I have contacted management and corporate and have not been compensated or even apologized to by someone other then a desk service worker. I unfortunately recommended a friend there who canceled in a month because of her two cancelations. If you choose massage envy I highly recommend you finding a different location. They canceled my husbands Father's Day appointment booked back in January THREE DAYS BEFORE FATHERS DAY- then proceeded to cancel our next month July appointment the day BEFORE our appointment. I thought freezing a membership was not charging the client??? Evidentially NOT...I wrote on my freeze form DO NOT RE-Instate with out contacting me. WELL they continue to charge my credit card the last 3-4 months. I froze my membership bcs everytime I wanted a massage they were "booked" BS they had light staffing so nobody could ever get in. Also, all the good therapists have left the Greece location. I racked up so many months of credit that I started gifting them to family and then they were charging me to gift them. Also, it's never 60 min it's always cut short. VERY shady. I called 4 times and was told "we will get this resolved and get back to you". Nobody did...I called my credit card company and I have disputed the charges. I also found out there's a civil law suit against them for raising prices etc. They won't last here. At first glance and after talking to everyone there it may seem like a legit place. However, shady dealings are at work behind all those nice smiles. I was forced to cancel my membership due to personal financial reasons. I went in person to sign all the necessary papers to close my account. I was told I would be charged one last monthly fee and then I would be done. I was charged that fee and then 4 months later I see a draw on my account for a membership fee without my permission lost cancelation! I called to express my concern and discontent and they put me through the ringer. The first time they hung up on me and the second time I was told that I never signed cancelation papers and that my account was just frozen. This was a bold face lie and an attempt at a money grab to which I'm sure other customers who cancelled were probably hit as well. I asked them if there was anything they could do for me considering that I previously went to the store and signed cancelation papers. They said no and thag I would owe 8 more months of payments! I was forced to call my credit company and dispute the charges and also block them! I had a gift card and decided on a facial treatment. When I booked my appointment it was an hour however I was charged for 1 1/2 hours. I have had facials in the past with wonderful results. This facial lacked many of the treatments I had in the past. The technician seemed like she lacked experience or just didn't care. The whole treatment was about selling their facial products! But now that I went to them with a problem like never being told that I'd loose my massages when cancelling my account within in 70 days there is nothing that can be done.... may I add that I was only two weeks past my 70 days and the manager MEG was nothing but rude and snotty like I was some 2 year old she was talking too. I've had massages about 3/4 times before, it was my 1st time in massage envy, this place was very nice, the most inexpensive deal, 39.99 for a 50 min massage. I got there about 20mins before my appt because I know that there is usually paper work to fill out when ur a first timer at a location. They greeted me at the door, asked if I'd like water and then sat me down to fill out the paper work. I was later taken into this quiet waiting area, waited about 10min for my therapist and he walked me into the room. The room was pretty basic (dimmed lighting, heated table and low ocean music) we discussed my needs and he did a great job at accomplishing them. It felt like longer then 50 min but we got done just in time. He listened to my concerns, n really helped me with my back ache and the foot rub was amazing. I might be back but idk when since the regular price for a 50 min massage is about $90. read more
