So I recommend other food delivery services that allow freedom of choice. Here is an example: Typically, I enjoy fish and chicken, but I did not care for how Martha's Senior Gourmet served those dishes. That was disappointing. Martha's Senior Gourmet is very expensive. The cost per meal for me was about $26 to $27! That is quite expensive. For that price, I expect excellent meals and that was not the case for half their meals. They do not let you make substitutions except in a very limited way and that is disappointing. They control the menu. They do have a nice delivery package brought to the door by an employee (contractor?), not a delivery service driver. And I liked that. My experience: my first month of paid food was up but they did NOT email or call me to ask if I wanted to continue into the next month. They were just going to charge me. I had to call them to stop the next month charge. I do respect that business model. They should contact the customer to alert them about the next month's food and cost. Each meal that I got included a small salad and those were quite good.
