I was unfamiliar with the area and was just looking for a sandwich to go. It took a while, but I stumbled upon Eddy's Food Store. It was a great find. They area under new ownership and they're doing a great job. I was there for a sandwich, but they have various grocery items, liquor, household items, etc. They even have. bitcoin machine. I've never seen one before. If you wanna' see one or buy some bitcoin, you can get it at Eddy's. While I was there several people came in for lotto tickets. Back to the sandwich. I had the Santorini turkey sandwich. $9.99. It was excellent. It was about the same price as a Subway sandwich but way tastier and way better! I loved every bite! Lots of variety for it being a smaller store. There's all sorts of drinks, chips, candy, ice cream, and even toiletries and household items. All the staff were friendly and greeted me kindly! With there being so many items, some end up a little scattered and piled up on the shelves. Great little convenience store. Plus no credit card fee on small purchases! read more

This place is a hidden gem! I've passed by many times before but never tried their sandwiches. I ordered the Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Santorini, and Cousin Vinnie all on dutch crunch. They were all delicious and had a good meat to bread ratio with all the fixings, but my favorite was probably the Ed, Edd, and Eddy. Just as good as other popular sandwich places like marina subs but a much better value. The owner was super nice and made the sandwiches to order so it took about 15 minutes but I didn't mind the wait. My only complaint was that the sandwiches that were supposed to have avocado didn't have them. I noticed on my receipt that the owner took a dollar off the total which was nice since there wasn't avocado but I wish I had known. Not too big of a deal though I would still go back. read more

Delicious and very reasonable sandwiches for the city. Found this shop by searching on Yelp. We usually hit up different sandwich restaurants in the city after going to the Academy. We went with Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Santorini, One Night Stand, and The Harvest. We ordered mostly on Dutch Crunch. Its a good sandwich bread, but its also a LOT of bread to bite through. My favorite was the One Night Stand. Service was decent for the amount of sandwiches ordered. Definitely a hidden secret in the streets around Golden Gate Park. Hmmmm.....there is something off about this store! The shelves are not completely stocked here. But, they do have cold drinks in the refrigerator which is the reason for my coming here. When I walked in here today I had no clue what to expect. Today was the first time that I walked into this place and it might be the last. Once inside I saw that there was not a lot of snacks or items in store. It seemed as though this place was going through some kind of transition of items or inventory. The floor merchandise just looked bare and rather boring. The shelves were not full at all. It was a good think that I came her solely for a drink. I was able to find exactly what I wanted without and trouble. The clerk working seemed disinterested as well. The clerk seemed more interested in his behind the counter business, whatever that was, instead of keeping an on the store. But, whatever, I guess that is just how it goes down here. I guess "Eddy" is okay with this so why make this an issue!!! I feel as though this place has the potential to be a very popular place if some modifications are made. Adding some color to this inside of this place would be a huge draw. Inviting and warm colors would be a good start. Also, full shelves would be another draw. Stock up on candy, chips, cookies, ice cream, trail mix, nuts, and beer. PRESENTATION is KEY when appealing to customers!!!! Randomness of this caliber - brightens my day. A rainbow vision of cheap variety: from candles, to carts, to shirts, to basic convenience store things - like paper-towels, gum, and tylenol. I always make it a point to go inside this store - when I happen to be strolling by. I can't remember what used to be here, but apparently Eddy's Food Store has recently remodeled. In addition to a solid selection of random corner store items, wine, liquor, beer, and, most notably, a deli! The guys who work here are really friendly, and they make a solid sandwich. They were careful to ask us if we wanted to take anything off our sandwiches or add any additional toppings. They have some fun predetermined sandwich recipes, with names like "Richard Simmons" (turkey, avocado) or "Cousin Vinnie" (basically an Italian sandwich), as well as turkey. We ordered two sandwiches and they were ready in about 5-10 minutes. We wandered around the store during that time, and when our sandwiches were ready, the guy went and found us to hand off our sandwiches. It's that nice personal touch that makes me really appreciate local businesses like this. Not sure if they saw some of the Yelp reviews below, but everything in the fridge, including the beer, was labeled clearly with the price when I went. We picked up some booze to go with our toasted sandwiches, paid, and went on our merry way. Overall, a solid transaction. The sandwiches themselves? In my quest to hit up every corner store in San Francisco, I checked Eddy's off my list a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for a soda and something to snack on on the way to my brother's house. I ducked in here and was immediately grossed out by the store's dirtiness. But I can deal with grime; it's the hallmark of a certain kind of San Francisco corner store. They have a pretty varied and decent snack selection, and I liked the fact that the place was laid out more like a hardware store than a corner store. I don't really know how to explain it, but it had something to do with the shelves themselves. So why the low rating? Well, when I eventually got to the register, I didn't immediately see who was minding the store. Then a teenage-looking guy appeared, and he was in the process of cussing someone out out the window. I kind of shifted and put my soda down on the counter so he would know I was there. He continued to cuss loudly and looked at my soda and chips kind of strangely. For a split second, I thought he didn't work here and might have been behind the counter trying to steal something. Then he kind of smiled and started ringing my stuff up. As he did this, someone walked by outside, and he cussed at this guy, but it was much more friendly, familiar cussing. I'll say I felt a little bit at ease, but I still wanted to get the hell out of here. So I'm going to go one star for the gangster white guy behind the counter. I don't really care what you're dressed like as long as you treat the customer properly. He wasn't mean to me, but he didn't put me at ease in the normal civilized-human-being way. I saw the sign they recently put up advertising sandwiches and because I'm too lazy to walk over to Roxies, I gave this place a shot. They stop serving sandwiches at 8pm, but dude hooked me up- I should have known better. Ordered the Hello Honey Sandwich, with ham, pepperjack cheese, honey, and ramoulade. I know. The ef is remoulade?! "Hello Honey Sandwich. That's a good one to start on...", dude says all shadily. I downed some ginger beer like a G and watch the Warriors dominate while I waited so I didn't pay attention to what he was doing, but i'm positive he was sprinkling crack on my sandwich because when I took the first bite, I completely lost track of what I was doing and looked up at a blank computer screen. I tried to take a picture of the evidence but this was the best I could do. What the hell did I just eat?! Roxy's got competition and these guys mean business. Next thing you know, they'll have drivebys spraying mayo and ramoulade in front of one another's businesses, leaving the community to suffer with its new sandwich addiction. I start to recall the sound of the toasted soft bread crunch in my mouth, that bump of melted pepperjack, the juicy orgy of honey and ham, and that ramoulade. That damn ramoulade forever shackling my mind to its taste... I take a long look at the crumbs that remain from my Hello Honey Sandwich and start to browse the rest of Eddy's menu, jonesin for more. I normally share half of what I eat with my roommate, but this time, I didn't give a funk if she got a taste. It was mine. All mine. I quietly throw away my trash, doing my best to ignore the guilt starting to build inside. "Hey, did you already eat?", my roommate startles me as I try to sneak back into my room. "YOU DON'T KNOW ME!!! I DON'T OWN YOU ANYTHING!!!", I yell as I slam my door on our childhood friendship. I now lie alone in my room, famished, but only as a shell of who I once was. Since this area is heavy on the Asian influence this place kinda sticks out a bit. Got one of those Korean Aloe drinks which the clerk inquired about. The new owners have done an amazing job with the store. It is totally remodeled and even has a deli! Today I ordered the "Tailgater" sand which toasted. The sand which was great . This review is for their business as a UPS Access point. I had the packages shipped to them in two separate times. The only reason I used them was because their store opened late and that I could pick up my packages at after hours. Both times they were equally helpless and inefficient. Both times I had the UPS tracking number clearly indicated the packages were delivered there. I showed them the tracking numbers as well as proof of delivery. They insisted the package was never there and refused to look up the package by tracking number. Even though I was in line before other customers, they let other customers cut off and never cared to really find out where they kept my package. I called the UPS staffs who had to call and speak to the staffs at Eddy's to confirm to them that all the packages were already delivered there. And they eventually found it, the next day. These guys at Eddy's market tried nothing to help me finding the packages that were already delivered in their facility. Both times, I had to come back twice for them to eventually find the package. There was no change in the UPS status and it was already originally delivered on the date as initially recorded. As I mentioned to them how this problem has arisen twice in a row. They said 'just don't use us next time then' and that 'we are not UPS' and just walked away. Well then why even bother signing up as a UPS access point when you can't be even slightest helpful to your customers who may end up purchasing something in your store while they were at it? Anyone thinking about using them as a UPS access point should avoid them at all cost. read more

This store is full of random useful house items that are inexpensive. I got mouthwash,dish brush, pliers, hammer and nails for 13$!! I haven't bought any wine or beer here yet but plan to soon after seeing how good the prices are. I also love that they take cards because I never have cash. If you haven't been here in a while, the store's been fixed up inside and out. Cool craft beer selection, good selection of random snacks and necessities, and friendly staff. They recently opened a sandwich deli here, and let me tell you - it rocks. Boar's Head meats, quality ingredients.
