Eddie Rockets is a fast food American style diner. I have been there on many occasion and love the food and atmosphere here. They serve many traditional American dishes including fries, hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken wings. Their drinks include Coca cola, milkshakes and even a icecream float where they put a scoop of ice-cream in your soft drink. Whenever I go to Eddie Rockets I order the Chicken Fillet burger with cheese also known as the "Cheesy Chicken" and regular fries which I wash down with a Coca-Cola. They have a kids menu which is great and they give them toys free with the meal. They also now have a breakfast menu which includes the traditional sausages, pudding, hash browns or waffles with maple syrup. Although the prices of the food is not that cheap, it is nice to go there for the occasional treat.

Ultimate Veggie
Lindsay C.

For a fast food joint this was decent. I had the Ultimate Veggie burger with grilled mushrooms added - it was quite tasty but a bit messy (the toppings made a break for freedom out the back of the burger)! The menu offers a good range of options with customisation and there are several veggie options. We were going to the Cineworld next door so it was a handy place for us to grab some food first. For three of us the bill came to nearly €40, which is a bit steep for what you get, but it is a better standard than the usual fast food outlets. I liked the 50's Googie style décor as well - neon rocketships, etc. made me think of Fallout. Really I want to give this 3.5 but there are no half marks so rounded up

Last night in Dublin for my boyfriend and I and we wanted burgers. We googled best burgers in…read moreDublin and The Counter came up as one of them. So, we said, alright lets give it a go! Atmosphere: Modern bar. Very busy and noisy. Service: Not the best. We got seated pretty quickly but we waited forever before someone came to take our drink order. I saw multiple staff members just hanging out. Some of them eating a the bar just chatting. Our waitress didn't even say hi - just "are you ready to order?" When I asked a few questions about the burgers she was pretty clueless. Nice enough and all, but honey, you really should know your menu. She never asked us what temp we wanted our burgers cooked to either. Once we ordered our burgers, it took a good 25 minutes before they came out. A food runner gave us our plates. While we were waiting I noticed that the majority of the staff looked about 16 years old. Maybe a night time manager would be a good idea?? Our waitress did check in but didn't keep an eye on our drinks and I ran out of soda before finishing my burger AND my boyfriend ran out of his beer. Missed opportunity to earn more money.... When we finished our meal, we sat there a long time before someone else came to clear our dishes. We then waited for the bill for another 10 minutes....Thank goodness we didn't need change and could just get up and leave! Food: The food, however, was really good. I got the Old School Burger, very classic beef burger, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, relish sauce, brioche bun. The burger meat is antibiotic and hormone free and really did taste fresh and delicious. All the stuff that came with it complemented the burger nicely and I was definitely pleased. The relish sauce really made it. My boyfriend got the Bacon BBQ Burger - beef burger, cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, fried onion strings, hickory BBQ sauce on brioche bun. He thought it was really good. The fried onion strings were really good and the BBQ sauce was tangy and sweet. We both got the shoestring fries and they were okay. Nothing special, but not bad. If they seasoned them a bit it might take things up a notch. The presentation of the burgers is quite impressive. The fries come in a separate stand up container which is fun. There is a full bar with beer, wine, and cocktails. My boyfriend got 8 degrees sunburnt red beer which he liked quite a bit. I just had a diet coke. You can make your own burger if you don't want to get a specific one on the menu. There are a variety of burger bases, buns, toppings, sauces, and such to choose from. If you don't want fries for a side they have sweet potato fries, side salads, coleslaw, etc. They offer other menu items as well such as sandwiches, salads, appetizers, shakes/malts/floats. Cost: Most of the burgers were 10-12 euros. You pay extra for sides. The fries we got added an additional 2.50 euros each. My boyfriends beer was 5 euros, my soda 3 euros. So, as always, it adds up quick, but the prices are pretty reasonable. Especially because you really do get your money's worth. The burgers are no joke! I would definitely recommend this burger chain. I am hoping one opens in Clifton Park soon. I want to try all their other burgers!!!

With vegetarians and other conservative eaters in our party, we found this place a godsend for a midafternoon pre-Trinity-College-sightseeing meal. Actually, it's pretty good on its own merits. I've eaten at other Counters and I like the setup...but there are too many choices! Patty, bun, cheese, toppings, and sauce. So many options! But if you enjoy culinary creativity and/or control, you will not go wrong here. The sides are good too, except that they were out of fried pickles. Sad face. We enjoyed regular fries, sweet potato fries, and grilled vegetables. Everyone enjoyed their burgers, so the meal was a success. Ironically, The Counter has table service, so it's not quite as quick as you might hope. But their sodas are from a fountain (yay, American style) so you can get refills. Plus, a bonus--their soundtrack of classic rock and respectable 80s and 90s tunes inspired at least four individuals in our multigenerational group to sing at various times. Clearly, they are all about variety.

But this place advertised Texas style BBQ so I decided to give it a try. The service was good, friendly, and fast. The interior was quant, simple but gave off vibes of being a BBQ spot. As far as fresh, grilled food goes, I would give this place a 3/5. But as far as BBQ goes, this ain't it chief. We tried the beef ribs, pulls pork, quarter chicken, and sides of coleslaw and Mac and cheese. Hands down the best thing was the Mac and cheese. They say the test of BBQ meat is that you shouldn't need extra sauce on top; I'll just say I couldn't get enough sauce.

I ordered a mixed meat box and unfortunately they were out of several items. Common in a BBQ place later in the day and especially with a large party. The pork was kind of greasy and had a liquidy consistency which was odd. Flavor was ok. The brisket really excelled cooked perfectly!! Sides were pretty good and as expected. I like the the bbq sauce which was unique, possibly horseradish mixed in. Beer list was pretty good. I would definitely recommend and suggest come earlier when menu is all available

The Stack: You really can't go wrong with a bacon cheese burger. Throw one some fried onions and BBQ sauce, to make it even more indulgent. Luckily they have it down to a science and were turning tables so fast the line was moving along steadily. We were given probably 2-3 minutes before a sever came up to take our order. Then since it is a concert night they ask you to pay before the food comes out. (No worries to us.) The service was good and the atmosphere was definitely dinner vibe. My girls got a Bacon Big Boy (hot dog with bacon and cheese) and the other a kids quesadilla meal. My husband got the smokestack burger combo and I opted for the tender basket with bacon and cheese on my fries. We also opted for a few milkshakes to share. I got a vanilla, my daughter got an Oreo and my hubby got a Rocher shake. (I will say the rocher shake was my favorite.) We were not able to eat everything as it was all so filling. My daughter asked if we could come back again tomorrow.

While I did not eat here on this occasion, I have eaten here on a past visit to Ireland. This review is only for the atmosphere and Rock Shop experience. The Hard Rock Cafe Dublin has been open about 20 years, and has been renovated a few times. Most of the street level is dominated by their gift shop (Rock Shop), with a majority of the restaurant seating down one level. Wandering around the main restaurant level, it felt a bit too dark in places and smelled a bit musty (the age is showing). Still, some areas are brighter than others, so your dining experience may vary a bit based on where you're seated. The Rock Shop was stocked really well with merchandise including shirts, glassware, and collectibles. I was happy they had both a bottle opener and a city shot glass as I try to pick up the ones with nice designs when I travel. The one big negative is that prices are extremely high compared to many other European locations. About 20 euros for a bottle opener and 16 euros for a shot glass are a bit much. I'm sure it costs quite a bit to be located in an ideal tourist spot in Dublin, but the franchise owner of this location is definitely pushing it on the higher end when it comes to prices. Overall, this is a reliable option for food (especially if you're not a fan of Irish food), but deducting a star for the higher than normal prices for a European Hard Rock Cafe location.
