The burger and fries menu seemed legit, but the hot dog options looked a bit suss. The Stack: You really can't go wrong with a bacon cheese burger. Throw one some fried onions and BBQ sauce, to make it even more indulgent. Really loved all the Irish beef in this American-style burger. Fries: Plentiful. Crispy with some nice pasty softness inside.

Luckily they have it down to a science and were turning tables so fast the line was moving along steadily. We were given probably 2-3 minutes before a sever came up to take our order. Then since it is a concert night they ask you to pay before the food comes out. (No worries to us.) The service was good and the atmosphere was definitely dinner vibe. My girls got a Bacon Big Boy (hot dog with bacon and cheese) and the other a kids quesadilla meal. My husband got the smokestack burger combo and I opted for the tender basket with bacon and cheese on my fries. We also opted for a few milkshakes to share. I got a vanilla, my daughter got an Oreo and my hubby got a Rocher shake. (I will say the rocher shake was my favorite.) We were not able to eat everything as it was all so filling. My daughter asked if we could come back again tomorrow.

So after a bit of a rough night out I woke up with a hangover and was looking for a nice long day…read morein bed. Until it hit me, shoot I'm supposed to meet my friend midday. Ugh what was I thinking? My friend lives out in North Dublin and I live the other way, so we'd agreed to meet somewhere halfway between. The only place I could think of was the Kylemore and that was not really where I wanted to be with a hangover! After a bit of research I discovered there was a nice greasy spoon on Talbot Street. The food was perfect and the fry up soaked up the booze left in my stomach and a nice warm cup of coffee quickly brightened my head. Definitely worth it, though like Dani pointed out it's not convenient to most people stuck at home in their beds nursing a hangover!

I'd heard that the Pantry on Talbot Street was a good place for a fry-up so I decided to give it a shot so I could report back to you. The pantry looks very light and modern, a bit like a French bistro. The staff are friendly and know how to make a good cup of coffee and well, the fry-up is indeed very good. Nice and greasy- exactly the way it should be. The rashers were nice and crispy and the toast nearly perfect. So why am I only giving 3 stars? Well, I know where I can get the same just a wee bit cheaper and closer to home. Having said that, the Pantry is worth checking out if you're in the IFSC or near Connolly station.

I gotta say when we first got there and…read morefound out that we were on what I think is the top floor of a lot of somewhat narrow staircases. I was a bit intimidated due to some physical limitations with my knees and hips. The staff was friendly and they do offer to help you carry up your bags however we did not take them up on it. It ended up being OK, I get it that it's almost impossible to retrofit an elevator into these old buildings. It was quiet, I didn't hear any of the neighbors in the building. I felt very safe in both the apartment and in the area. Everything you need is within a couple blocks of walking distance. The bus that takes you back back-and-forth to the airport is about two blocks away and easy walk. The sidewalks are smooth enough that it's no problem to roll your suitcase. There's a lot of food choices and a big grocery store right on the same block. That brings me to the food. We did not cook in the apartment, but I suspect we could have if we wanted to put together something basic. There's a microwave and a kettle and a very handy refrigerator which we utilized. The attached restaurant feels like family. They treat you like family. The food was great, although that fish and chips put me down for the count. It's just so much food oh my goodness. I love the fact that they had delicious draft beer on tap, they had fantastic desserts, you could see right into the kitchen and see them preparing some food. Everybody on the whole staff was so friendly. I think maybe they are family I'm not sure about that but they certainly treat you like you are family. We got there early to check in and so we went in the restaurant and they put our bags in the corner where it was safe and by the time we were done eating, our room was ready. I saved this one in my book because I will definitely be back.

The staff were friendly and it was busy, but not too full. I came in a little after 130pm, and I think I'd been in a bit earlier there would have been longer lunch queues. If there is a queue it's worth the wait. I haven't had a Reuben sandwich probably since I left Canada in 2016 (Reuben's are American, but you can get them all over Canada too). Dark rye bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, dill pickle, and Russian dressing. It was delicious. Pickles aren't a staple on Reuben sandwiches, but I love pickles and was happy with this addition. It adds a nice little tang, along with the dressing. The soup was warm and delicious with a bright tomato flavour. Soup changes daily. Portions were quite large. I just got the soup and sandwich and when I ordered I wondered if it would be enough. It was. My tummy was quite happy after lunch here. I'll be back for sure. Or maybe I'll just order in, because they have free delivery in D1.
