Eddie is the BEST! Stop searching and hire him. For real. We were working with a realtor before Eddie who pushed us too far out of our comfort zone and was just trying to make the sale. We bought a home with Eddie in La Crescenta. It was a long process of looking and multiple offers. The market was very competitive, with every home going above asking and multiple counter offers. There were Pros and Cons having Eddie Ramirez as the hired realtor to sell my house. Conclusion: from my own personal experience I WILL NOT hire him again. Dealing with him felt as though he worked through finding "Practical Ways" to make money at the shortest time and as effortless as possible --only to his advantage. Pros: I hired him because of his high ratings. He was pleasant at the beginning, got my house staged, and sold it quick. Cons: realtor was arrogant; bragged about any little effort he did which caused me to devalue him. He was hesitant to cooperate with me but he would do it. Attitude or communication issue?? Most importantly, during the negotiating phase, He WAS NOT there for us. It seemed as though he didn't want to advise us anything so that the offer didn't fall --again, to his advantage. Instead, he took on the role of a messenger man; just passing on the message from Buyers realtor to us. He would also go back on his word, stating one thing to us and delivering another. for example, he told us he will help us find a rental property if we were having trouble finding the perfect house to buy during current market, then later insinuated he rather not because rent commission is insignificant to him. Same happened when I asked if his interim-presidential duties would interfere with his time in selling my house. He'd stated his realtor duties were his main priority but then as we continued, I got replies from him/his assistant saying he's unavailable cause he has these "special events" to go to. At one occasion, he said he couldn't make it because he was going to hang out with his friends. He was not quick at responding to my text/emails. I had to do several follow ups with him. Although he delivered a quick sell of my house, as our listing agent: his negotiations, communication skills, and providing quality services need improvement. I expected quality of services from Eddie Ramirez since he became an "interim president" of an association (if I'm not mistaken) at that time and has good reviews; However, I would not recommend him. If you are going to hire a realtor make sure he or she is focused STRONGLY on delivering quality of services, meaning "going the extra mile for your services" ---WITHOUT the hesitations!!!; apart from years of experience and recommendations. Other than that, I wish him well with his new title as President of some association, I'm sure he worked hard for it. read more
