I'll be honest, it was Edda's beautiful exterior that drew me to them. I ordered a pour over and a vegan muffin: The coffee was pretty good, though perhaps lacking a some of the brightness a great barista can bring out. The muffin, however, was great. Although pricy, I would definitely come back and order these again From an ambiance standpoint, they put most other coffee shops to shame. Edda has ample indoor and outdoor seating, and has nice music playing indoors--though perhaps a bit loud if you want to stay and work, so if that's the case, I'd bring my noise-cancelling headphones. Very cool and aesthetic coffee shop with a great view of the west side market! Always love coming here for a awesome cup of coffee which you can tell are freshly brewed and are made with great coffee beans. Also, their coffee flight is so good it has three coffees, Cafe bon bon, Carmel brûlée latte, and a French toast latte, all of which were very pretty and very tasty. The overnight oats are my favorite thing to eat here, the berry compote and bananas are a great topping to the overnight oats. Wow, I loved Edda. It is such a beautiful and welcome addition to the Ohio City neighborhood. Its directly across the street from the West Side Market (facing downtown proper) and has a very cool location. It also shares a building (I think) with the new apartment buildings that just went up. The interior seating was big, spacious, and had a variety of tables, high tables and phone booth style seating. Full disclosure - every seat was full. It's in a very popular location with a lot of foot traffic. If you're planning to come here and work comfortably for a while I'd recommend arriving early to stake out your spot. The inside is bright and spacious with a great energy. If you're not walking here, be patient with yourself and parking. My boyfriend and I were eating at a nearby restaurant so we were able to easy walk over from that lot. There's limited surrounding street parking. Keep a stash of quarters handy for meters! We just ordered a drip coffee and matcha tea on the coldest day in Cleveland yet and it was great for warming our bones. This place is a bustling working cafe during the week! There's a solid selection of drinks and now an updated door menu. The wifi was pretty good, the bathrooms were nice and the staff were pleasant. Drinks here are very hit or miss. I've had some pretty good and some absolutely trash. Definitely steer clear of any matcha drinks - not good. If you get a latte, make sure to get the smaller size otherwise it'll be way too milky. Your drink quality truly depends on who is working that day - very inconsistent. I ordered a drink from their spring menu and no one there even knew what was supposed to go in it and what I was served was terrible. Food is okay but so insanely overpriced that I won't buy any food here anymore. I know inflation is raging but the prices do not match the serving sizes. The only thing I'll continue to get here is small iced vanilla lattes. The location and interior is really the best thing this place has going for it. Check out my photo of my $8 piece of toast. Their toast used to be on much thicker slices and bigger than this. They're obviously shrinking portion sizes while keeping prices the same. People working here are relatively nice. Went on a Thursday around 11 AM, there was a decent amount of people sitting throughout. The space is super open and has modern decor. I got a chai latte and it was so bland with minimal spice/flavor. And for a 12oz cup, I felt it was overpriced at almost $6. Edda is a beautiful new coffee shop in Ohio City under the Intro Apartments. I came here with a friend on a Sunday morning to get some studying done. We were very impressed by the aesthetics of the space - it's truly gorgeous here. I had looked at pictures of Edda before we came and was under the impression that it was much larger than it actually is. Luckily, we came early and were lucky to snag one of the hidden corner booths to do work in, but if we came any later I'm sure that we wouldn't have had anywhere to sit because it's so popular. We got quite a few menu items while we were here including a cappuccino, latte, chocolate croissant (from Luna's), Venice avocado toast, and flat top toasted cheese with fries. I don't really have any complaints about any of the food or coffee. I think you can tell that the ingredients they use are good quality, and when they all came together all of the final products were fine but not ~too~ special and quite expensive (ex. my avocado toast was $10 and I was hungry again within the next couple of hours). It's nice that Edda has a lot of food options for if you want to come with friends or if you want to study for a while, I don't think you get your money's worth. Another qualm I have is that on the day that I went, the WiFi was very spotty. I'm not sure if this was because it looked like a particularly busy day (there was a line at almost all times for the whole morning/early afternoon), but it was a letdown that a place with such good vibes ended up falling short of my expectations. read more

Located on the corner of west 25th and Lorain directly across from the west side market Edda sits on the corner. I truly wanted to live this place. The aesthetics of the space are nice and they have a cool light above the open space. I stood in line patiently. The patrons at the register didn't know what to order and wanted to peruse the menu not an issue but they also had no questions for the employee. The employee at the register chose not to take the next person in line. Causing the line to back up with zero care. I ordered an Americano and avocado toast. Here's where it gets more interesting my simple avocado toast took 17 minutes to come out. You would think they traveled to Mexico to get the ingredients. Employees stood around chatting away to each other like it was social hour. When I asked did they forget my toast I got the simple reply of it's coming. What should have been a quick trip to a coffee shop to grab a quick bite ended up being near 40 minutes. I didn't even get to eat before starting work because they put me behind on my day. Once I did eat the avocado toast it was perfectly as described-Toast with avocado topped with arugula and pickled onions and chili flakes. This coffee shop popped up as an ad one day and the esthetic caught my eye! They're a coffee shop located in Ohio City, but what I love is that they're not just coffee, there's a wide variety of food selections too! Upon arriving at Edda, I realized that there's no parking nearby I guess they're attaching to an apartment building, so you'll have to park in a dirt lot down the street a bit and walk, but at least the parking is free! I got a matcha latte and one of their morning burritos! I will admit, it was my first time trying a matcha latte, and I did not like it (tastes like grass hahaha), but I loved the burrito, and free water cups of either still or sparkling water was a bonus too! Despite it being super busy, I managed to find one of their cute little booth cut outs where I set up my work space and hung out for a few hours. It was a wonderful time! I've been coming here for the past yearish. The products are a 2 star for me- the coffee is really bitter, don't have bagels?, and the food isn't all that great. The service has oddly gotten profoundly disappointing within the last time that I went. I went two days ago and there was a heavyset woman with black, short hair (cut masculine) who was insufferable. She spoke to me like I was stupid, she wasn't personable at all, and was genuinely the worst option possible to be working the register. As a company, you should have chosen quite literally ANYONE ELSE. She made my experience so terrible. I never write reviews, even if someone spit in my food- but somehow this girl was worse than my food being tampered with. The only reason why I'm giving it 2 stars is because the ambiance is great. It is a large space, but because it is so popular, finding seating can be a little limited at times. This is a great study spot with constantly a lot going on around you. The Tory coffee shop in Ohio City. Park your Boris bike on the north side of the building with the large Truss sign, step inside, and order a Rishi tea. But be prepared to wait a bit for your beverage, and if you ordered one, sandwich, as due to austerity measures there aren't quite enough staff to keep things arriving in a timely manner. Thankfully the atmosphere is bright, cheerful, and a bit upscale, so you're unlikely to mind the wait unless you have a Red Line train to catch. But UK political jokes aside, they do a lot of things right here, and just enough not right to not get 5 stars. Items do take a long time to arrive, usually just enough that I'm starting to wonder if they forgot my order when it shows up; they would benefit from hiring another person. The teas are good enough for a prime minister, the ginger turmeric being especially good, but I'd appreciate another black tea option in particular. The beverage prices are a bit high (note that for the lattes, there's a 75-cent upcharge from the posted prices for a large, which is really more medium versus the default small), and the breakfast mains are also a bit pricey, although this is somewhat made up for by below-average baked good prices, with the savory muffin being a particularly good choice. But for all the tradeoffs, the atmosphere has kept me coming back. There's bar seating, row seating by the windows, many small tables, and booths. Bountiful light everywhere, including from the central overhead light that I really want for my future house. Music at an appropriate volume that strikes a balance of not being distracting, yet being Shazam-worthy at times. And despite the wait for food and beverage, more often than not it's worth it. The breakfast sandwich is delicious and filling. The chai latte is one of the best I've had. The WiFi has always been reliable. And at least on weekdays, I've never had trouble finding somewhere to sit and stay awhile. So long as the positives continue, I'll keep coming back. read more

They had an awesome water dispenser which gives out free carbonated water. The staff was super friendly and helpful. ....but the coffee really missed its mark. There were very limited latte options. I ultimately got an iced americano but it was really watered down and tasted worse than something I'd make with my keurig. My friends coffee was better but not anything special. With so many coffee places in the area, I don't think I will be coming back. It might be a good place for a date or to study given the ambiance. However, edda really didn't hit the mark. read more
