I've been here twice now, and unfortunately, I haven't been particularly impressed either time. On my first visit, I ordered the buffalo cauliflower, which I found overly sauced and it just didn't hit the mark. During my second visit, the experience was again underwhelming. Despite ordering very simple dishes, we ended up waiting well over an hour for our food, which made the meal feel more frustrating than enjoyable. I will give them credit for being dog-friendly on the patio as that's always appreciated. But overall, the food and service haven't been enough to bring me back a third time.

We came in today to leave a flyer for the event we're holding and the staff was so nice! She was super friendly and offered us water. We ended up having brunch here and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious, we got the crispy chicken sandwich and the Cesar salad from the brunch menu. The chicken had a Smokey seasoning, with the perfect amount of heat. The bun the had toasted cheese, bacon and pickles too. Now for the salad- very good portion size, the croutons were seasoned similarly to the chicken, and we also added grilled chicken to ours. It was fresh and I recommend. This place is EXTREMELY dog friendly- there were about 6 pups out on the patio, even dog treats and water replenishment. We loved the decor, they represented so many other small businesses such as breweries.

We had an excellent end-of-summer meal here recently. What a gem in JC. The outdoor seating was so lovely. Our waiter was very friendly, and all of the food was delicious. They have a good selection of ciders and beers as well. I hope to come back next summer for more!

It's a nice neighborhood bar. They have a good selection of beers and are priced reasonably. The bar was swamped but the bartender was still very attentive. We loved our bartender!

There's seating inside and out. We went for dinner and sat inside. They did not like that we didn't order any alcohol with our meal. The food wasn't bad, but not great either. I asked for some ice with my water and the server insisted I should be happy with chilled water, then told me to get up and get the ice myself. My friend got fish and chips and I'm pretty sure they were just Gordon's frozen fish filets from the freezer section.

What a fun bar! We came on a Tuesday around 9:45 just before they stopped serving food. We played darts, doted on a pup, and browsed the jukebox while waiting for our food. The Nintendo was occupied this time, but the folks playing it seemed like they were having fun. Our impossible burger was impressive--cooked perfectly and served with ultra fresh veggies. I mean that onion was CRISP. And the sauce on the honey butter Brussels could be eaten by itself with a spoon.

I continue to love this place! Their burgers are so big and delicious. They put plenty of fresh veggies on them. The fries on the side were good. I liked the way they were cooked this time and the salt on them. Last time my friend got the fries I didn't like them. The wait service here is always so friendly. They had a block party on Saturday with some other vendors and music and it was nice to sit outside and enjoy a burger. Also they gave the wrong size of a drink we ordered. I let them know and they brought a whole new one! I will continue to frequent.

Mmm! The build-your-own bloody marys need to be a year-round thing! Unfortunately, i think its just a Summer Sundays item. Ed and Mary are cool people and make for a great vibe in this neighborhood bar.

The service here is great! Went on Super Bowl Sunday and figured it would be packed but went anyway.. it was but not too crowded. Rachel helped us and was super friendly about finding us an area to stand and eat. We ended up asking if we could go out and eat and she said of course and then she went in and turned the tv on for us so we could watch the Super Bowl outside if we wanted. It was sooooo sweet cus we figured we'd eat outside and maybe go back in to watch the game. Anyway, she went above and beyond multiple times and she was soooo friendly. It seems like so many locals go here and people know each other.. love it cus it really seems like it's part of the community and everyone is so kind. Didn't take pics of food cus I forgot.. they had a deal for wings 5 for $5 So we got Buffalo, bbq, and destroyer All were good We also got the cubano with fries and it was really good. A little odd that it was on a soft cloudy sub roll but still good. Will def be back. Service and food are good and price is good too. Also I heard the menu is not the same so no Irish breakfast. BUT they do occasionally bring things back. follow their ig for update and deals @ednmary Or I'm sure the online menu is accurate too... cus online def showed a more limited menu Parking: street Water: they have a cooler with cold water and plastic cups :) super convenient

Love this place! We're Brooklyn transplants who are slowly discovering spots in Jersey City and we highly recommend the food and drinks here. they're waitstaff are so nice, know the menu item quality and have great personalities. Even though we don't have pets, this restaurant is very doggy friendly!! It's a nice and quiet spot also with great outdoor dining space. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was just right. My partner had a fresh cubano sandwich and the bread was so crisp and just the right texture. Also their cocktails are really refreshing! Will be going back for sure!

Because we could not score actual tickets to the Taylor Swift Concert during Memorial Day weekend, we decided to go a Taylor Swift themed brunch at Ed & Mary's that weekend. They went all out with t swift drinks, meals, balloons, and a cardboard cutout of hers truly. This was my first time at Ed & Mary's - everyone working there was super friendly. It's not a big place inside, but they have a good amount of outdoor seating. They are super dog friendly and many people showed up with their pups. It's very casual but the drinks and food were really good. I can understand why this is a popular local spot for folks in the Hamilton Park area. I'd definitely come back here for food and drinks outside.

There is currently construction and scaffolding in front of the place, but you'll see signage where to go at the opening of the scaffolding. We walked in, past the bar and checked in. We were seated within 5 minutes. I ordered a bourbon old-fashioned and we ordered crab rangoon as a starter. There were a lot of them and the sweet chili sauce was great. For my entree, I ordered the vodka rigatoni and a side of buttered broccoli. The vodka rigatoni was really good - liked the flavor and a decent size of pasta. The broccoli was really good for some reason to me. Also tried the truffle mac and cheese which was incredibly rich and tasted great. As a dessert, we had the chocolate pie which was dense, rich, and topped with a huge dollop of whipped topping. I really liked the atmosphere of the place, loud roaring 20s style with jazz playing. Plus I kept finding myself checking out the mural on the wall. Try it for yourself - but worth the fight to get a table.

While the Filet Mignon was a popular and well loved choice among our group, and the Meatballs were universally raved about for being truly excellent, the real showstopper for me was the Chicken Parmesan. I don't typically order steak, so I was delighted by this choice. The cutlet was impressively sized yet elegantly thin, showcasing the high quality of the chicken. It was served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes, which was such a comforting and delicious pairing.
