Just like everyone else has posted, I would give less stars if I could. At the beginning they were very helpful. Everyone who came to do treatments and exterminating were polite and helpful.... Until... THEY POISONED AND KILLED MY CHICKEN!!!!! The service member who came out last came lacked in diligence and sprayed poison all around our house, I guess they couldn't see the open wide coop as soon as you pull in, their 5 gallon water bucket, or all the chicken signs we have posted on the gate. My heart is broken as I held my hen in my arms as she passed away from the poison that was NOT suppose to be put down (I would say 3-4 times they didn't put the poison down, until this week without my permission). This was not a one off. Every single time EcoShield sales people are walking the neighborhood they do this. The unsolicited sales pitch at my house every few months is irritating and pushy. I have a no soliciting sign. When the sales person insists on engaging, ringing the bell and ignoring the no soliciting sign it makes people angry and unlikely to purchase your services. I tell the sales person politely, no thanks, and the sales person continues to talk over me and doesn't leave when asked. So I asked him politely and repeated to please leave. A scam. The sales people will tell you that they can come inside the house and spray for bugs. I have been paying them since JULY and they dont even allow you to schedule the service. They only come, ring the doorbell and spray the outside of the home. I cancelled service in March. It somehow got reactivated in April without my knowledge. Bobby and Octavius were professional, courteous and efficient as they performed insulation services in my attic. They topped off the attic insulation to 4 inches to help conserve heat on my second floor and to minimize cold and dampness in the attic to prevent insect infestations. They worked for about 2 hours and did a beautiful job, as attested to by the pictures they showed me and my own visual inspection. They were a pleasure to work with. read more

Thieves! DO NOT USE EcoShield! Not only is their product trash, but their customer service is worse. They will change your appointment date without your consent. They will show up whenever they want; hours outside of your scheduled window. I've had to call them multiple times to come re-spray because their product does not keep insects out. But the worst offense was them installing termite baits in my yard when they saw that termite baits had already been installed by the builder of my new home. I moved from a state where termites were not an issue so I was unfamiliar with what the baits looked like. However, EcoShield knew what they looked like. Instead of them saying ma'am, it looks like you don't need our service because you already have termite baits installed, they came inside and gave me their sales pitch anyway. Completely UNETHICAL and PREDATORY business practice! I own my part for not being familiar with termite baits, but when you are moving into a new home, you have a million things that need your attention. They are completely aware of that and they decided to take advantage of it and do absolutely the wrong thing. When I called to speak to someone about it, the so-called "local manager" refused to provide any corporate contact information. If I could give them zero stars I would. While the technicians they have are good at what they do, the customer service absolutely stinks. The don't call to inform you of difficulties or delays and when they set a follow up appointment, they don't show up. Calling in is frustrating. The call center is not based in the US and for every decision they have to call the "local office" but there is no way for the customer to communicate directly with the office that serves them. I have spent days waiting only to have no one show up and was given a less than adequate response by the call center. The one time I was transferred to the local office to speak with a manager, I was sent to voice mail. I am still waiting for a response. I'll start with the important part: if you had the misfortune of signing a contract with EcoShield, make sure to contact them within 3 days to cancel for no charge as they are required by law to provide and prepare for a struggle. I was transferred between multiple call center agents who were clearly going through Customer Retention Routines, was put on hold twice, process took about 15min. If customers fail to cancel the contract within 3 days then they are locked in, typically to a 2 year contract. You will learn the "discount" you were promised at signing becomes a "cancellation fee" even if the salesperson repeatedly assures you there is no cancellation fee. If you need any other reason to cancel your Ecoshield contract, here are several: - The company's sales strategy depends on training their salespeople to lie to customers about their neighbors using the service, offering "discounts" while failing to mention the discount becomes a Cancellation Fee after 3 days. This is mentioned by multiple people on this Yelp page as well as on Reddit so clearly it part of their sales training and not one individual. - E-mailing my intent to cancel evidently subscribed me to an annoying Retention Campaign where I receive multiple calls / text messages from Ecoshield including waking me up at 8AM sharp on Labor Day - They pay an online reputation firm to generate fake reviews on their Google listing such as this one: "Eco Shield is setting the standard for quality and customer service." As a result 4.7 aggregate on Google, 1.4 on Yelp as of this review! Most of the other positive Google reviews are because... - Their technicians' compensation is dependent on their ability to generate Google reviews. Had a guy told me he needed me to leave them a Google review so he could get a promotion. - The service itself was not very effective. We didn't have a big problem when the service started but noticed no reduction in indoor pest after 5 months of service. I've had this company for a little over a year now. What I've experienced : - The service works. After the first service I started to see more bugs and was very worried what I got myself into. I was ensured this is just growing pains and pest control is not magic but continues maintenance on the home. After dealing with a couple more bugs outside for a couple days I started to see a dramatic decrease and was totally relieved and more confident I made a good decision signing up with the door to door sales rep, Justin. Haven't had a single issue with pests since. - The customer service is slow. I've called a few times and get transferred to an off shore customer service. It's not the best but I don't talk to them anymore. If I have any issues I directly call the sales rep that originally signed us a year ago and he always fixes my problems and answers my questions thoroughly. Having contact with the person you started with is rare and I appreciate the time he takes to keep in contact with his customers. Justin randomly checks up on us from time to time just to see how the service is going. To have someone like that is even more rare. - The technicians are good. I've had issues in the past with other companies having inconsistent technicians that never seem to do the same job twice. Granted, I've had an issue with a technician not doing the job and marking the service as completed once in the year I've been with them. This is not a company issue as I see it but just a lazy worker having a bad day. He never came back so I assumed the company fired him or he quit. Coming from the west coast I've learned Atlanta's work force is absolutely horrendous full of people who want to get paid but not work so I won't hold that to the company and just the individual alone. The technicians are here for 30-45 minutes every service and are super thorough. My initial visit was nearly 1.5 hours long. No other pest company I've worked with has spent more than 20 min on my home. They care about my property and I'm loyal to them for that. -The scamming comments are far from my experience. I was aware of the cancellation fee from the start. I specifically remember asking Justin if this was a contract. "Yes" plain as day he said. It turned me off because i didn't want to be locked in to anything, but at the same time very refreshing to here from a sales rep not trying to beat around the bush to get a shady sale. He was thorough with the cancellation fee. Almost beating a dead horse making sure that I 100% knew there was a fee to cancel. I trusted his honesty and that's the only reason I was not reluctant to sign up. I had no plans to cancel as long as they held up their end of the agreement. So far so good I plan to renew. Overall, I've had a great experience with the company. I feel my family is safe playing in the yard, not getting chewed up by ants and my wife hasn't screamed at me to come kill a roach in ages. Let' me start by saying a 1 rating is generous. AVOID this company. My RING camera was my saving grace after fighting for a year to resolve continued charges, that were also not defined in the contract. I signed up for quarterly, they switched somewhere along the line to monthly. Dishonest sales reps offered services that didn't exist. Example: spider and cobweb removal from my dock. (Of which was surprising to me as well). My first tech was great - she did everything as quoted but even she was confused by the dock service. It went downhill from there. PEOPLE - make sure to get everything in writing, if you call, insist on a follow up email from them. I can assure you they will ignore, but if you have to fight you'll have records. If you have a RING or home video cameras, communicate with them on speaker in front of your camera. Agreed on a quarterly, 1yr contract. I cancelled prior to renewal due to poor service, most of the time they only treated outside arriving outside of scheduled appt times.) Rate increases within the contract terms and despite a interact customer service was unhelpful. Each rep saying something different and clearly unskilled in contract compliance or basic comprehension. They began charging minting advising they didn't offer a quarterly plan (as per 2 different reps). I spent HOUR fighting this, disputing charges and cancelling cards. After a year I finally resolved and had to kick a tech off my property who would not leave insisting he started service and I would be charged. 6/3/2025 Problem #1: treatments ineffective for mosquito and weed control (believe chemicals applications are watered down resulting in ineffective pest control. Problem #2: service schedule delays. rescheduled 2X. showed up on Sunday 6/1/2025. Health Exposure for workers and employees. (Cancer and many other serious/ fatal diseases) Problem #3: Failure to handle chemicals, dress properly to protect workers from hazardous materials in compliance with OSHA standards. Problem #4: workers exposed to hazardous chemicals on skin and work clothes Problem #5: contaminated clothes, exposures skin, transfer by contact of chemicals to other surfaces. (clothing, shoes, body, face, inhaling fume/ spray. contaminate truck, expose family and children to clothes and skin. Problem #6: Workers do not notify when service is completed. Result: SERVICES TERMINATED WITH COMPANY RECOMMENDATION 1) EDUCATE: Company needs to provide OSHA Education and training on handling hazardous materials RECOMMENDATION 2) EDUCATE: Company needs to provide Safety clothing employees for anyone handling or exposed to pest control products. To include: Disposable: full body suits over clothing with hoods, masks and gloves. AND proper disposal of one time use of protective clothing. I agreed to sign a contract because they said they would get down the wasps nests that were around. Figured I would cancel after the 2nd visit. The representative kept calling with some bogus information and did not understand that I wasn't trying to talk to him. Not a customer, but live across the street from a customer. My husband and I live in Snellville, GA . EcoShield have a customer across the street from us. The afternoon of Thursday August 28 their service person backed into OUR driveway to turn his truck around and as he pulled out he ran over the planter around our mailbox, tearing it off. I'm thankful my vehicle was further up the driveway. When my husband yelled for him, after both he and the other neighbor watched the wreck, the driver finally turned around, came back and said, he had an earpiece in, so he couldn't hear my husband, then he said 'that my husband was a senior, so he should get back in his yard. I'm sorry, but that feel vaguely threatening to me, how about you? How much training does it take for a driver to learn that particular customer service technique?
