So they told me they would call me when one comes in. I went home and at 12:45 I called them because I knew they closed at 2pm they still had no SUV to rent and again they said they would call me. Well I couldn't wait and take the chance so I went to another one in Brandon and they rented me a SUV however it was $60 more than what I reserved. After the rental was over I decided to call enterprise to explain what happen and how I reserved one SUV at one price and ended up paying $60 more because of their screw up. Talked to a woman at the main office on the phone that I could tell wasn't interested in anything I said. She said someone would call me that never happened. Never again!

After finally being called, I was asked to sign the contract and was handed the keys without any proper explanation or vehicle walkthrough. When I checked the car, it was in very poor condition both inside and outside. The vehicle was not clean at all and did not meet basic rental standards. I immediately went back and requested an exchange, but I was told it was not possible. This completely wasted valuable time during a long weekend trip with my family. I also requested a supervisor's contact number to escalate the issue, but I was only given the same location number again: 813-653-0033. For reference, the receipt states the vehicle was rented to me by AH-NEJAH. I didn't get the exact model I reserved (which is quite common with car rentals), but they provided another compact car that worked perfectly for my needs -- and I was on the road within another five minutes. Returning and renewing the car was just as smooth -- fast, simple, and with no unexpected charges or complications. The staff were professional, friendly, and efficient throughout the process.

The employee then offered me a Buick Encore and assured me that it was both a midsize SUV and all-wheel drive. Since I had an eight-day trip ahead of me, I accepted it based on that information. Spoiler alert: it was neither. The Buick Encore is not a midsize SUV, and it was not AWD. After spending eight days in a vehicle that wasn't what I reserved, I mentioned it to the same employee upon returning the car. His response? "Who told you that?" Well... you did. At that point, I was told that reservations are not guaranteed and was handed the billing department's phone number to sort it out myself. The bright spot in this experience was Hertz customer service over the phone. The representative confirmed that I was, in her words, "thoroughly correct" and acknowledged that I had not been given the class of vehicle I reserved. I did receive a small credit, which I appreciated. I understand that inventory changes and substitutions sometimes have to happen. What I don't appreciate is being told I'm getting a midsize AWD SUV when I'm not, especially when I'm about to head out on an eight-day road trip. So, if you reserve a specific class of vehicle at this location, you may want to double-check exactly what you're being handed the keys to before driving away. I didn't have time to fight; I had to get on the road for my trip. Apparently, "midsize AWD SUV" can be a very flexible definition here.

They were gonna give us a big SUV but one of the customers returned a mid-size SUV and they decided to give us that one instead but it just took longer than expected and we had things to do. Other than that, I had a great experience and would definitely rent again from this location for sure!

No matter what time your reservation is, expect to wait close to an hour to pick up a scheduled rental. On my last pick up customers and I had been told the delay was because all the available vehicles were scheduled for oil changes. Who schedules an entire fleet for maintenance at the same time while customers are arriving for confirmed reservations? Quoted 15-20 minute wait time... Yeah okay.  try being honest and communicate with your customers. I waited over 45 minutes to receive a vehicle, completely disrupting my schedule. The online check-in process and reservation confirmations are a complete waste of time if the vehicles aren't actually ready when promised. What's most frustrating is that I called the day before to ask about an earlier pickup and was immediately told no. If they already knew there would be delays due to maintenance, they could have adjusted pickup times or at least communicated the issue in advance instead of wasting everyone's time. Customer service and operational planning at this location have been extremely disappointing.

NEVER AGAIN! Got a 15' machine lift for $81 per day. Got it on a Saturday and was told for a full…read moreday, I had to have the item back by Monday when they open because they are not open on Sundays, which means I technically get an extra day at no charge. Turns out I needed it for the following Monday, which should only be another day. Well they charged me for 2.5 days because all of a sudden Sunday counted. NO ONE GAVE ME ANYTHING. THEY ARE NOT OPEN ON SUNDAYS, so as long as I returned the unit by opening on Monday, it was a ONE day charge. I should have been charged for 2 days since they were only open for the 2 days. Then, I was charged a warranty that I did not ask for nor did they disclose to me at signing. Their answer was "well it's in your contract". That might be the case, but as a courtesy, just like renting a car or a u-haul, you are "asked" if you would like the insurance. I would never have agreed to a warranty on an item that is very old, but solid. There was little chance of anything breaking. It's all metal. Worst of all, customer service was terrible. Whomever the lady is at the front desk, she has a horrible attitude and should be fired. She didn't give a damn about my concerns. She knew I was clearly bothered, but didn't care. My guess is she is used to unhappy customers. Apollo rental lost a customer for life. Was never about the money... it was about the service and the integrity of the sale. I lifted over 100 bundles of roofing shingles that were 70 LBS each. I thought the machine would fit in the bed of my Nissan Frontier, but they confirmed it didn't. I was able to rent a 6 x 10 trailer for it. Of course, I left the tow ball at home and needed the trailer light adapter but they hooked me up. Even assisted with loading, offloading, ratchet strapping, etc. I couldn't be happier with the quality customer service and this machine saved not only some backs, but some man hours as well.
