They agreed and said the keys and paperwork would be at the sheltair desk across the lobby. I got there at noon and the keys and paperwork were not there. I called back and they said they would be down in 15min. It is now an hour past when they said they could have the car ready and 45min past when they said they would be here. The people at the airport says everyone who rents from here waits a long time. If you rent from here don't say you weren't warned.

Returned the rental without a hitch!…read more The elephant in the room is this. The parking lot at Enterprise on 5th is a disaster. Getting in and out of this business is not an easy adventure. Fortunately everything else about it is. Business was booming again when we were ready to return and instead of making us wait around they allowed us to drop the keys and told us they would send an email to confirm return. EASY. The car had some minor issues, that I addressed earlier like the smell that permeated the seatbelt. So hopefully they can take some time to super deep clean. In addition the gas cover had serious issues opening everytime we got gas and essentially needed to be pried open as someone pressed the button inside. Not ideal. Not a deal breaker. We will definitely be renting cars here from now on.

I showed up and the man at the counter said "we don't have any Teslas here". I said "Okay... well I reserved one for today on your website. Isn't this the 6190 34th St locaiton?" "Yes, it is". I then said "Let me pull up my confirmation". He wouldn't even look at my reservation or offer me an alternative so I said "Wow, well it looks like I need to call my husband to come pick us up then". The other gentleman asked me "would you like to extend the car your dropping off?" I explained to him that we need the car from today (4/1) until the 15th. He shook his head at me. Sorry, but this location is really unprofessional. The car I rented was filthy when I picked it up, after waiting on them to supposedly wash it, though it never was. Update: just as we were leaving Hertz to get into our Lyft to go home, the exact car that was shown in my email reservation appeared in the lot. Which makes me wonder, did they double book it or just give it to someone else that got there before me? I was 15 mins early to pick up the car I reserved. I was told "we have NO Teslas here today". I reserved a cargo van to go 1 way to Louisville, KY from St. Petersburg FL. I reserved this on…read more10/18 for a pickup on 11/26 at 11:30 am. At about 10:30 am on 11/26, I called the pick up location to see if I could come a few minutes early to pick up the van. The man who answered responded that they do not have a van for me. I asked what happened and he didn't know but that they don't have one for me. I asked what am I supposed to do? I have a trip planned and items ready to be loaded into the van. His response was cold as he said "What do you want me to do? I can't make one appear". He suggested I call the Clearwater location on Ulmerton Road. When I asked for their phone number he just said "Google it". I called and did speak to a very nice lady who explained that this can happen from time to time if inventory isn't planned but should be communicated several days to a week before pickup. Unfortunately she did not have a van for me and didn't understand why they told me to call her. She said that I should call the 1-800 number and someone in inventory can probably help. I did and was able to get a 12' truck (much bigger than I needed or wanted and very fuel inefficient). I had to go 28 miles out of my way to pick up the truck too. What also frustrates me is that I got several emails from Laura Gangnier reminding me to get insurance because most personal car policies don't cover truck rental. I got an email from her at 7:45 am the morning I was supposed to pick up the truck. Why is she emailing me if they don't even have the van I reserved?
