The class lasted 50 minutes and we were given some general guidelines for taking care of bonsais. We also were given three bonsais to choose from, two of which were junipers. While the teacher was nice, this class was incredibly overpriced and not at all worth the cost. After the $160 price tag for the two of us, you're then prompted with a tip screen... You would have better luck buying some plants and pots and watching a YouTube video. We really wanted to enjoy this but were very disappointed.

A nice bonus is the dining area on the second floor, which is a great spot to take a break and grab a meal before continuing your shopping trip. One helpful tip: if you plan to purchase larger items, take photos of the item tags and aisle/bin locations as you go. You'll need that information later when you pick up the items near the checkout area. Overall, a great shopping experience with plenty of options, reasonable prices, and a well-organized layout. I did find the "Let's Flamingle" door mat, which will vastly irritate my pun-loathing friends. They didn't have the "Go Away" door mat. Or the one that says, "I hope you brought wine." Ah well. I found a couple more flamingo things, but discovered to my surprise that they do not carry slipcovers. This strikes me as odd for such a gigantic store. It was difficult to find anyone to help me, but when I did, he was very helpful. Almost everything I bought was summer stuff on clearance. A lot of summer and garden stuff is NOT on clearance. Also weird, as I write this in early November. I didn't really need two adorable garden gnomes, but I wanted them. Alas, not on clearance, and neither was the large grey resin alligator. I probably would have bought it at $40, but definitely not at $80. Silly impulses can only go so far. $80 is too far for me. Hangers are well priced, will go back and get them another time. So I googled the tweezers, and found that Harbor Freight had a whole set of six long tweezers for $7! So off I trotted to the store. I ended up with the tweezers, giant carabiners for $1 (I'm going to use them to attach my tote bag to my rolling laptop bag. Or something else), a screwdriver set with mini heads, because every set I own has disappeared, so I'm hiding this one, and a couple of other small things. They have auto stuff, garden tools, power tools, welding tools, woodworking tools, and all manner of accessories. I didn't really check out the tools, because I have what I need, but prices really seemed reasonable. The auto polishes etc seemed expensive ($36 for one polish) but tbh I don't know the cost elsewhere. They really have an awesome selection, and the store is big, bright, well stocked, and clean. Later, I asked an associate in a closed-off area if he could hand me three items that were directly next to him. He refused and told me I could wait 30 minutes until he was finished. The only thing HD is paid for is the products their customers buy. Everyone at HD should be aligned behind that goal.
