I found Salazar Electric online and decided to give them a call. Juan, the owner, came to my home and was prompt at the scheduled appointment. I explained to him that I just painted the house and did not want any holes in the ceiling. In addition, I just recently spray foamed my attic as well. He went over in detail how he was going to run the electrical line and assured me no holes were going to be in the ceiling or walls, as he was going to snake the wires down the walls. I informed Juan that I wanted the work done in June, which was about three weeks from the initial meeting, and he was able to accommodate me on the day I selected. A couple of days later, I received an email with the date I wanted the job done and the amount, which was reasonably priced. Max and another gentleman got the job done in a couple of hours. It took them a while to drill a hole through the spray foam, but they got it done. After the job was complete, they cleaned up after themselves. It was a pleasure working with Juan and his team, and I definitely recommend them and plan to use them in the future.

Let me give you an example - Lou met me at house in Englewood for an estimate on several electrical problems that needed to be fixed. His examination was very thorough and also quite efficient. He took less time than I expected and he found other problems that needed to be addressed. By the way, getting the written estimate didn't take days either which is a very big plus. He's also considerate. When a contractor says he'll be there at, for example, 9 am what usually happens? You wait and wait and wait. Not with Lou. He comes on time and if he is running late, he calls to apologize and tell you how late he'll be. The truth is that contractors budget time for a job and sometimes when they get there discover it needs more time. So they can get delayed. Lou doesn't leave you hanging in the wind - he calls to say he's sorry and this is now when he'll be to you. He appreciates your business and doesn't abuse your time. Isn't this great? So Lou Zimick gets a As Good As It Gets from me for being a terrific electrician with excellent customer service.

If I was told the cost of the parts needed upfront in the initial estimate, I would have supplied them myself. Yet when I suggested supplying parts myself they refused to do more work. I won't use them again.

Although I thought I had done ample research, thinking the good review on Facebook and reading an article in "Behind the chair" was enough to believe that this was a good product with a industry Pro in the name. I was running close to state board inspection so I didn't utilize the "15 days trial" with Eco-Lite, I asked George to just ship my order to me. It never occurred to me that this company would have terrible customer service and an awful return policy. I received my bulbs on a Friday, installed them Saturday and emailed George immediately that at least one Of the Lights was not going to do the job we anticipated. The room was lit like an interrogation room. George returned my email Monday and said, "I'm at a trade show. I'll get with you Thursday." I at this point thought I just needed more lighting. So I stopped into a local lighting store, I soon realized I may have jumped too soon. Installing the same 3 bulbs with bulbs that were half the price when installed were like night and day compared to The Minardi lights. I called Eco Lite and simply asked what the return policy was. Upon getting the runaround, I smelled out that this could be going badly. George suddenly could get in touch with me and explained that the lights "weren't really returnable". What?! That's on me. Should have asked. Never saw this coming. So I paid for junk. Then I got the wonderful advice from an independent knowledgable lighting expert. My lighting is beautiful and I have a nice box of Minardi Lights unused if anyone likes them. Grrrr. read more

USE ANOTHER COMPANY!!!!! OR EVEN CANDELS!!! I bought lights from ECO when I first opened my salon, and just as in other reviews, the lighting plan that "ECO recommended was a joke, but I wanted the wall lights, so I went with just those. Several years later I added a new station, and called to add another light. No problem right?!?!? Wrong!!!! without telling me they changed the design, turned it into a dinky skinny piece of garbage. But being the nice guy I am I tried to use it in another spot in my salon. but when I finally got it wired... by the way I got two lights, they only sent me one transformer (not so bright) one does not work, and the one that does is WAY TOO BRIGHT and the wrong color temperature. Something that is supposed to accent your look goes far beyond destroying it. When I called to see what they would do... total loss of customer service. "Its no out policy", "You'll have to talk to the owner","Our computers are down" Not many companies get "ONE STAR" but if business is bad for them, hopefully they will be closed soon.......
