ACS was contracted by Home Depot to install carpeting on the upper level of my townhouse. They arrived an hour before their scheduled window and assisted me with getting the remaining prep work done for installation without any problems. They efficiently moved my furniture and did a fantastic job removing my old carpeting and installing the new carpeting. The team was pleasant, professional, and they cleaned up well after their work was completed. The timeline they offered for finishing the job was right on the money. I couldn't be more pleased and hope to do business with them again in the future. Thank you ACS! read more

As part of the preparation to sell our home we used Home Depot to order and arrange for installation of new carpeting throughout. It had a reasonably large selection and among the best prices, especially during sales events. HD uses independent contractors to install what they sell, and it was our good fortune that they work with American Carpet South in our region. ACS took over once the purchase was made. They contacted us within days to arrange a date for installation. We had one year to complete the task, as they had the carpeting available in their warehouses and had the means of transport and the skilled workers to attend to the work. Yesterday was the appointed day. We had removed all furniture from our living room, family room, three of four bedrooms and the stairs between first and second floors, before their arrival. In eight hours they removed the old carpeting and padding, installed the new, and removed many rolls of the old to their large van for recycling. These two guys labored almost nonstop. They carried the carpets up/down the flight of stairs on their backs. They ripped out the 30+ year old flooring and stretched/stapled down the more modern style like they had been doing so for years; which, in fact, they had. No time to chat. They kept at it all day. Totally impressive. The house is looking so good, it's a shame we are going to sell it. Five well earned deserving Stars for these two men, and the company smart enough to employ them. read more

Organized and professional! Our new carpet looks amazing. Work was completed efficiently.

I would recommend American Carpet South to everyone. I purchased carpet from Home Depot and ACS were the installers. From start to finish everything was perfect. From scheduling to installation all the employees were kind and professional. The young man who installed it went above and beyond. He was so great, went right to work, was quick and very clean. Great job, it looks amazing and they reached out to me to make sure that everything went well and I was happy. It was so nice to work with a company that took away my stress and cares. Can't thank them enough. read more

Overall i have had a terrible experience with ACS. They have been to my house 3 times now, once for the quote, once for the original install, and then again to "finish up." There are 2 rooms in the finished basement (carpet), and on the main floor the kitchen (laminate), living room (LVP), 2 bedrooms and 2 closets both with carpet. they originally quoted us 3 days of labor. The original install, visit #2, early September, there were 3 guys they started in the bedrooms and found asbestos tile in the bedrooms and closets underneath carpet. The crew said they can not touch it due to the tack strips being nailed through it. understandable due to potentially damaged asbestos. I had them check the living room under the existing LVP and the kitchen under the laminate. they told me those do not have asbestos but they will not install the main floor until the asbestos is removed and certified. They tried to stop all install proceedings there minus the fact the basement was concrete under the carpet. i verified with them that if there was asbestos under the LVP they would still be able to put the new flooring down. Right as they were about to leave they came back and said they could do the basement. To me it seemed as if they just did not want to do any work. every single thing they had to call their boss and see if they could do it. On top of that they damaged Lego sets, glassware, and various other small Knick knacks i was able to put back together for the most part. there were some broken computer parts i had to get replacements for. I asked both Home Depot and ACS to NOT send the same crew back. We had an asbestos abatement company come out and remove the tile, mastic, and certify the bed rooms as safe to the tune of about $4k for ~300 sq ft. We sent in the certification and it took them 2 weeks to schedule us again. visit #3 October 26th ACS sent the same crew back even though i told them NOT to due to the lack of attention they showed last time. I just wanted this project to be completed so i allowed them to work. They started in the bedrooms and did a very iffy job. The flooring itself came out good, the molding work is atrocious. They glued the quarter round to the new floor and did not secure it to the wall. They scuffed up and marked up several spots as well as the doors i just painted. They managed to damage our toilet seat's mounting bracket and did not tell us. They also dinged and dented our dressers. now if that is not enough they started haphazardly tearing up the living room and when they did they shattered the existing LVP. come to find out there is asbestos underneath the underlay for the existing LVP. they also damaged some of the tiles as they used a pry bar to force up the old LVP. Again, previously they told me they would be able put the new LVP over top in case this happened. they refused to and again stopped the rest of the project. the kitchen has new plywood and vinal overlay but they still refused to even go over top of that. Both times there were dirt, debris, and trash left that we had to clean up, all of the large chunks of trash like LVP sections and excess trim were taken care of however for a new install they left an absolute mess. In order for them to come back again i have to have both the kitchen and living room tested and remediated of any asbestos before any more work can be done. This means i have to have another entire abatement setup and extra cost for the lies i was told. I am not in the slightest bit happy with how this turned out and if they paid a little bit more attention i would have canceled the project for the kitchen and living room. read more

I recently purchased new carpeting, and it was installed by 2 young gentlemen from ACS through Home Depot. I say "gentlemen" because that's exactly who these very talented "general laborers" were, which is something you rarely see these days. They showed up the minute they said they would be here, inspected the areas to be installed with me, told me it would take approximately 3 hours of work (and it took 3 hours!), set up, and began working. It was early in the morning. I offered them coffee and cinnamon rolls from the oven. They graciously thanked me, however, declined because they wanted to stay on schedule. I offered them water, soda, and coffee while they were working, and they just kept working. They were professional and respectful to me and my home. I didn't tell them I had been in this business for 20 years and knew the procedure. I just watched them. They did every step perfectly and meticulously. They worked so well together and individually. I was so impressed with their work and how they put ACS first and foremost for their customer. I strived to hire employees such as these two when I was in business. What an asset to ACS. Please reward them when their performance reviews come about! When everything was completed, they cleaned EVERYTHING up spotless and took it with them! When they were leaving, I tried to buy them lunch up the street at the pizza restaurant in town, and they thanked me and said they had it in the truck already, but they appreciated it. They didn't want to get off schedule. Wow. How conscientious. So not only do you have a completely satisfied customer who will be sure to refer your company because of the great installation I got and great telephone customer service with appointment setup and reminders, I would also like to give a big shout out to ACS truck service too. When your installers were leaving, the battery in their truck was dead. I went outside and asked if they needed a jumpstart, and they told me they had it covered. They took out a portable battery charger, hooked it up, the truck started, and off they went. Brilliant! That's going above and beyond taking care of your employees on the road. I see a lot of companies strive to treat customers really well, however when I also see a company treating their employees the way you do, it shows because your employees will tell their customers, as yours did to me, what a good company they for and their grateful for their job at ACS. Great job all around from a very happy and impressed customer. Thank you for striving to stand beyond the rest. You really did! read more

ill recommend this carpet was purchased from Home Depot and this company is contracted through Home Depot and I feel the price point was where I needed to be. I'm not gonna say that's cheap or expensive. It's where I needed it to be. I had a wonderful experience with this company from Communication beforehand to completion of carpet installation. They were very respectful of my property, as well as respectful of my pets and aware while opening and closing the door of my pets. I was made aware of any communication that needed to be talked about by one of the installation, men From the beginning to the end They arrived in your standard work van And had all of the right equipment to do the installation The installation also came with furniture removal, which we did not need. We did have a very large couch that was difficult to fit through the door and they were able to work around that but the offer is there from the company to help you remove any furniture. As well as removal of the old carpet and padding, which is a plus when you live in the city in an apartment I have attached before and after photos If I could make one recommendation, it would be to have coordinating T-shirts with the company name on it and or some sort of labeling on the work van, but don't let that deter you. That's just a recommendation read more

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!! This company installs flooring for Home Depot customers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR HOME DEPOT FOR FLOORING!!! Detailing all of their screw-ups with my order would take a near book-length review. After numerous unnecessary delays, they finally came to install my flooring today. They saw that two of the flooring packages were damaged, so they just stopped in the middle of the job and left. They refused to pick up the intact flooring at the nearby Home Depot and finish the job. I have no idea if/when this job will get done. I'm annoyed I need to give them even one star to post this review. read more

I wish I could give them a zero rating. My advice is to find real installers. They came to my house to remove a carpet and install vinyl tile. They started to remove the carpet, then stopped when they found the floor was not perfectly level. I get the need for a level floor. I asked how much additional for them to do the work. They said it is out of their scope of work, told me to get a contractor and they left. No recommendations, nothing. They literally just left. I was stunned. My wife was stunned. They left staples and nails in the floor and a huge mess on top of having an exposed subfloor. I have kids and dogs and this is my living room, the most used room in the house other than the kitchen (which connects to my living room in an open floor plan). I had a contractor friend come over and he said it was easy to fix; ACS could have done it. There was no reason for them to leave the mess and not make the necessary adjustments. Real installers would have been able to do it. Make sure you have real installers who will do the job completely. Make sure they are upfront and honest. Make sure they will complete the work even if things aren't perfect, like most homes in the world. In the end it would have been cheaper for me to use a full service installer for the flooring and install. Oh, and they have called multiple times to schedule the install now. I got it ACS. I don't need you. Go sucker someone else. read more

ACS recently installed carpeting purchased from Home Depot in my elderly parents' home in Middletown, NJ and did an outstanding job! I had this team install carpets that we got from Home Depot. Their communications were clear and timely. They showed up on time. Frankly, they busted their butts installing this carpet because they had to take large rolls up a very narrow winding staircase.. They really killed themselves getting it done, but didn't do one bit of damage to the house in doing it, which frankly surprised me. I had expected to need to do some paint repairs. They were friendly, and addressed all of our questions. Highly recommend. read more

I had a carpet install from home depot and they used ACS. to be honest it was a shit show from beging to end on all levels. when i had home depot come out and do the measurment ACS ignored what was in the estimate. they didn't do the waterfall stair install giving me the hollywood instead and didn't do the subfloor check to deal with the squeaks and tried to leave without finishing the job. i had to call them back in to carpet the landing while doing that caused damage to the front entry half wall with the rough backing of the new carpet. i was annoyed that the instructions weren't followed and i am still waiting for mark to issue the check for the damage he agreed to and owes me dealing with sedgewick and home depot and acs has been a nightmare and has made me very gun shy having home depot do any further installs. i wanted home depot to do the install for the vinyl floor planking but i don't want acs there's a sharp tack i keep stepping on too. read more

I had carpet installed through Home Depot by ACS Commercial & Residential Flooring Specialist and the experience was outstanding! They called me two times that day, one to give an estimated time of arrival and another time to Let me know they would be there within approximately 30 minutes, which I really appreciated. The two installers who came were VERY polite, quiet, worked quickly and were extremely meticulous. They arrived approximately 1:30 and the job was finished by 4pm. A full basement and staircase carpeted. They even cleaned up SPOTLESS! The owner of the company even called before the installers left to make sure I was happy with the job and cleanup and overall experience, THAT was extremely appreciated and so professional on his part!
