Nothing bad to say. Solid service…read more I called today to see about a rough estimate for garage door spring replacement. Originally they were hesitant to give a price, but I wanted to get a ball park estimate as I don't live at the residence needing work so wanted a rough idea. They said they normally don't do that but after explaining the situation, I got a range. It was a reasonable range so agreed to have them come out. Btw, I called like 5 places and they all had a similar mentality about giving ballpark quotes. Chris the technician happened to be in the area and I was able to meet him earlier. He was able to replace both springs (only 1 was broken) but I choose to get 2. About 30 minutes later, door was fixed and I was on my way. He clearly had done this type of work for many year. He was quick and efficient.

Roberto showed about an hour after I called at 7:30 pm. He ran the door up and down about 3 times and then said he knew the problem. I had stored a shovel in a small nook near the side of the door and it had fallen to one side so that the top of the handle was just close enough for the roller to hit it on the way down. Roberto was so nice about it having been a dumb move by me. He proceeded to check the entire door and lubricated everything. He shook my hand and told me to call him with any problems that may arise. I asked what I owed him for a service call and he said he would never charge when there was no problem. He told me what to lubricate once a year and wished me well and was on his way. Wow! I'm still stunned by his kindness. There is no question about who I will call when I inevitably need service to my garage door. Thank you, Roberto!

There were no hidden costs. Neal gave me an honest estimate, and then he and his son came and did the job right, quickly, and when they said they would. And my very heavy old door was a bear to take down, but they didn't charge me extra. They had a lot of variety in the doors you could order, and Christine walked me through all the price differences very patiently, and was very honest about what various features were worth, in my particular case. She was as great to work with as Neal and his son, which I so appreciated. I liked everyone so much I'm actually hiring Neal's son to come back and do some handy-work for me on his own. Although it was cute to me, it got old really quick with my kids. I figured it was time to get a professional involved. I chose The Up and Up Garage Doors company because it was relatively close to where I live (I learned pretty quickly that some companies don't serve my area, so I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be disappointed if they didn't served my area). The company had a decent number of reviewers, which I feel makes the 5 star reviews seem legit. Surprisingly, I was able to book a consultation the same day. Neil was able to diagnose the problem relatively quickly and explained the parts that I would definitely need (like a new receiver), parts that I would not need (like the spring) and parts that would be nice to have (like the rolling wheels along the rail). He was very transparent about the price of the parts and labor as well as time it would take to pick up the parts and complete the job. TBH, the garage door system he recommended seemed gimmicky, but I decided to go with it anyway because he had me at " it's one of the quietest systems." He was able to install the very same day and was very patient helping me set up the remote garage door openers and iPhone app, which turns out has a feature that floored me, which was basically the ability to check if my garage door was closed or not after I left! The amount of time I imagined I would save by not having to turn the car around to double check is priceless! The overall time it took from looking at the company, setting up an appointment, Neil having to pick up the system from the company, drive back and install was literally less than three hours. I also thought the price was very reasonable for having such a quality product and super awesome experience. I would 10 out 10 definitely recommend this company to anyone who is looking to upgrade their garage system or just need any repairs in general.
