Boyko's moving boxes came in so handy and useful for us in our move. He dropped off the boxes in our 2bd apartment seamlessly, with zipties, moving labels and a dolley. We just learned about recycled plastic crates as an option for moving and were extremely pleased with the experience. Boyko and Tony were in constant communication through the process and were happy to work with our needs in terms of pick up/drop off. Delivery and pickup was timely and easy. We didn't encounter any major issues during the process but I feel very confident that they would have been accommodating and understanding of anything that arose. This is the best idea ever! The eco-boxes are lightweight, yet sturdy. They can hold a huge variety of items. For example, I packed my entire kitchen in 1.5 crates. Also, the eco-boxes are stackable. One of my red wine bottles cracked (due to my flawed packing technique) but the movers had stacked it on top of an eco-box carrying my white comforter - and there was no leakage! Yassssssss! Even the movers marveled at the sturdy cases with handles which made their job 100 more times easier. They asked for a business card/flier for the company and I happily complied. And that's not even the best part: The OWNER of the company PERSONALLY DELIVERED my eco-boxes LAST MINUTE at 6AM on a SUNDAY MORNING!! I'd called multiple moving box companies to scheduled a pickup on Saturday morning to no avail. The owner called me back within 10 mins of me leaving a voicemail and outside of their normal business hours! Now that is customer service! He was so polite and accommodating...I low key wanna invest in this business because it's such a fabulous business model. Man, more people need to know about Eco-Box It! I'd used a similar service when my company moved offices a few years back and really liked the convenience of just being able to throw stuff in a box, close it up, and be done with it. So when it was time for us to move, I sought out the same thing. I'm pregnant and we only had a month to pack and move so convenience was key. Believe it or not, Eco-Box It was one of the only companies I could find that offered: 1) Drop off and pick up (this is huge--U-Haul makes you DIY) 2) An estimator tool to help decide how many boxes to get 3) As many boxes as you want 4) Local service and flexibility 5) Payment online 6) REAL PEOPLE to communicate with! I followed their recommendation and ordered 70 boxes for a 5 bedroom house. When the boxes arrived (on time I might add) we thought there was no way we'd fill all 70 of them--but guess what? We filled them PLUS a few extras. The cardboard boxes we used for other things were such a pain in the ass, I can't imagine doing an entire move with them. Yuck. (Oh, I also opted for the mattress bag which kept things tidy on moving day.) If you are using these, make sure to mention them to your movers before moving day. Our moving company wasn't familiar with Eco-Box It and seemed skeptical, but they commented on how they liked the reusability, stackability, and toughness of the boxes. I'm not a Green fanatic or anything but not having to buy, assemble, tape (or scout out questionable used) cardboard that you have to break down and throw away later was SO nice. The added benefit of these boxes is the pickup deadline. You pretty much are forcing yourself to unpack in a timely manner or pay a fee, which was a blessing in disguise. As per the bins themselves, they are robust and large enough for storing about 3 cubic ft of items. At 27" wide with solid handles, they're comfortable to carry. There is a dolly included that nests with the bin and makes them easy to move stacked. We rented a second dolly and it made going back and forth between the truck simple. The delivery/pickup driver Stephen was super friendly and extremely polite. If you haven't considered renting bins for your moving, do so. While they are a little costly, I would rather rent these then have to get cardboard boxes, tape and bubble wrap to put together then break down again. Worked out really well - the boxes stack securely so nothing inside gets crushed, and the dolly makes it really easy to move ~4 boxes at a time.
