I found this place cause I got lucky... of my amazing co-workers was going to her and her hair was FABULOUS! My first ever interaction with her... She had a client in the chair and I came in as a stranger to ask her if she had the time to try to fit my fiancés in (who's hair was "chopped" by another individual!) but if not to not even worry about it at all and that we would come back on Monday as Melissa's policy clearly says by apt only! She worked a miracle, for the other client completed AMAZINGLY and then proceeded to fix my mans hair! We appreciated this SO much as we were going out of town that day to a wedding he was in! Now MY experience with her!!!!!! My hair is very very long and it was not in he best shape when I first sat in Melissa's chair BUT after following her instruction TO THE "T", getting regular keratin treatments with her and finally getting all the damage I had done to it OUT, Melissa squeezed me in late on a Friday afternoon, didn't only do what I scheduled for (which was a keratin) but she proceeded to die my hair the color I had told her about weeks before... I couldn't have been happier! It's very rare that you get someone that knows what they're doing and do hair like a BOSS, someone that is hilarious and goofy and that is a true professional! I've been to a lot of very high end salons in my quest for a decent hair stylist, and eventually i started cutting my own hair because i was so sick of paying top dollar for awful haircuts and colors from stylists who just didn't listen to me. I can't express how happy I am that on a whim I bought a Groupon to this salon and decided to give it a shot because i have NEVER been as happy with my hair as I am each time I go here. Melissa is not only talented as a hair stylist, but she really takes the time to listen and understand what you want and then executes your requests to perfection. Not only is she an amazing hair stylist, she is also a wonderful person. She is so fun and welcoming and is genuinely a good person. I can't recommend this salon enough, this is the only time in my life I've really felt like my hair looks good and that's such a great feeling and a self confidence booster. My regular stylist wasn't available for a week. I was desperate for a haircut asap and so I began looking/reading/researching. Found Melissa at Eclectik on Broadway in Everett. I admit I was nervous as it was my first time there. I am very particular about my hair. Immediately felt comfortable and welcomed when I arrived. We talked about cut/style, she showed me photos of what I might be interested in-no rush, no hurry. We communicated. I have just received one of the best haircuts I've ever had and I am 64 years old (30 in my head). I'm a Happy girl. The prices that she charges are in line with higher end salons and while her business location is not fancy, she does higher end work. Melissa listens, cares about quality and the happiness/satisfaction of the customer. Hate to leave my regular stylist........but for the above reasons, I probably will. read more

I have never been a girly girl. Sitting and getting my hair/nails/whatever done has always been a chore. When it comes to hair, I never knew what I wanted, what looked good or how to ask for it. So I would go 6 months to a year in between cuts. That is, until I had Melissa cut my hair. I had horrifically damaged it with box color needed some sort of fix prior to a couple of weddings. I showed Melissa pictures of what I liked, she evaluated my hair, and gave me better than I could have wished for. My mom, who had been loyal to someone for more than a decade, made the switch to Melissa because of how amazing my hair looked. I recently moved to Everett and desperately needed color for the gray that my previous stylist never quite could cover. I found this salon searching on the web and was really nervous because I've never done that before preferring instead to go to a stylist based on friends' references or asking somene with a great cut/color where it was done. Melissa, the owner, immediately put me at ease by saying that covering gray hair had never been a problem for her and that she guarantees all color. Not only did she cover the gray entirely, she applied a keratin conditioner to my hair leaving it silky smooth. I felt ten years younger!! I was totally happy with the results and so was my husband. Just had my first haircut at Eclectik and I will never go anywhere else. They were super flexible with scheduling me in; I had to cancel because my toddler decided to nap right when I was booked for mommy time, and they were very cool about it. The salon is super clean, well decorated, and the staff is very friendly and not at all snobbish. I had my hair cut by Melissa, the owner, and she was kind enough to explain the origin and purpose of each of the products she was using. As a science teacher, I totally geek out on that stuff. Melissa is a wizard with scissors, but OMG THE SCALP MASSAGE. I felt, and looked, like a celebrity when I walked out. I want to go there every day. Especially since the prices are super reasonable. I will only see Melissa, no one gets my hair as platinum as she does. I love the private salon experience, its all about me for an hour and a half. The salon is always clean and smells so fresh because she has a vertical garden that filters the air, no chemical smells. Her prices are really good especially for the high quality work. She does ANY type of hair--from old ladies to dreadlocks! I have asked her for some crazy things and she ALWAYS delivers and more. No matter when my appt is there is always good parking. I love her booking system, you don't have to call and speak to a busy receptionist, you can see online all her available appts and choose any one you want. read more

I can't say enough good things about Eclectik Salon! I wanted to give my very best friend Pat a salon experience for her birthday since she usually gets her hair cut at a barber shop. Amanda, the stylist, was amazing. She cut, conditioned, and styled Pat's hair to look just like the picture we brought in. We left there with Pat absolutely floating she was so pleased. Her hair has never looked better, shinier, or more healthy. We also met the owner, Melissa and hubby, who seem like wonderful people also. I was apprehensive to get my lashes done because of lashes gone bad on the internet...... the internet is not always your friend. Elan however convinced me otherwise and I do not regret one lash.
