Happy I found this little gem of a place and close to home too. Katie Dodge is a great stylist and colorist. It's always nerve wracking having to find someone new but she really knows her stuff. She spent a lot of time getting to know my hair and I absolutely loved the cut but even more she is an experienced colorist (mixed blondes and foil) making it look so natural. Was the only place I thought I could rely on. However this time I went in for a dye with Lyndsey, no results 180 dollars wasted. No refund, bleached the back of my neck and ruined my shirt. But somehow I could get a refund of 30 dollars for the shirt she ruined. Very unprofessional and then she had the audacity to try and tell me my hair couldn't lighten. She offered to charge me more to get my hair bleached again. Spent 40 dollars and did it myself. Never going there again, how could they call themselves stylists? She also argued with me what rose gold really was from a "stylists" point of view. Very untrustworthy. Never coming back. Update: she tried telling me that I used up 5 bowls and was there for 4 hours when I came in at 4:30 and left at 7. That's 2.5 hours and she only went to get bleach after she ran out twice. She also tried to argue what I came in for. I came in to get lighter. I left the same color. The before and after pictures looked exactly the same. She told me to get more "educated" at the end of her rant. There's nothing more educating than looking at the facts. I wish I could put zero stars. I have been having her cut my hair for a little over 10 years now. She has always done an excellent job. She is really friendly and I feel comfortable telling her what I want because I know she will be able to accomplish it. I have curly hair that isn't always easy to cut and I have had some bad haircuts before I started seeing Heather. Since Heather has curly hair herself, she knows what to recommend and how to cut my hair every time. She also helps me figure out what products are best for my hair and has given me great advice when it comes to coloring my hair. She's quite knowledgeable in her profession. This place is a perfect example of not trusting Yelp reviews. Our appointment was at 11. We sat inside for about 30 min. 10 minutes passes after the appointment time and we left. Why did we leave? Because not a single staff said hi, or acknowledged us at all. I tried to make eye contact.. we didn't even get that. Every single person there treated my daughter and i as if we were never there at all. Yeah that made us feel real good and wanted. This was a big deal for us to even get my kiddo to the salon. Because she is major social anxiety . I reassured her the entire way to this salon, that they were friendly and it will be the best experience . I stopped in as a walk in for a men's haircut. Only waited 15 minutes and then got right in. Aaron McCabe gave me one of the best haircuts I have gotten lately. Great experience with kaitlyn. She was so kind with my 15 year old and everyone who came in. The treatment was a long day, but she was very easy to be around all day. She also let us know where to park. Most street parking is 90 min. We needed more. She had her hair relaxed without using formaldehyde, making it a lot healthier for your hair. Actually added moisture to her hair. She also gave her a nice cut yet again making it look and feel healthy. She did a nice job on her hair. But I was even more impressed how nice she was to clients and staff in the salon. Never did she seem not to have time for the people in the salon. She made you want to be her friend. Newly here from Los Angeles to take care of a sick parent and needed a good hairdresser to handle my platinum blonde, rock star/pinup girl look. I had a VERY good stylist in LA and was skeptical about finding someone here, but I was absolutely delighted with this salon. I left a message and Ginger called me back with the number for her bleach/color specialist Lacy. My hair was badly damaged with trifling roots and patches of bad, brassy color from doing it myself (I had a gig as a Marilyn Monroe impersonator and needed platinum fast but hadn't found anyone here yet), and she totally fixed my hair! She took her time, making sure not to over-process, evened and smoothed everything out, trimmed me and gave me absolutely beautiful hair that has been in much better condition ever since. She also gave me a first time discount and recommended a good conditioning product that has helped. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Lacy will be my stylist for as long as I'm living here, and Ginger runs an awesome salon. Very happy with the results. Price was shockingly good. Kaitlyn has been doing my hair for years. My hair always looks so beautiful and healthy when she is done. I would not trust my hair to anyone else. Kaitlyn traveled over three hours to style everyone's hair for our wedding including mine, my bridesmaids, my mother-in-law and my mom. I moved to Everett almost 6 years ago. I went to a couple salons around the area and couldn't get in to them. I would just come home and fix my bangs, not be interested in the cut that much or just have a friend dye my hair from a box because I didn't trust the salons to know enough about reds and brights and highlights or being able to accent my slightly alternative style. Then I found a stylist I LOVE down in Portland and I used to drive down every 3 months to get my hair paneled and colored and cut with her! I'm from Portland and I spent over a year planning my wedding down there and it was a good excuse to visit. BUT after 2 years, the wedding passed and I just wanted to find someone up here again. Not only is she just super easy to get along with, I really felt comfortable loosely explaining how I like my hair, that I couldn't have the hair clash my soon-to-be bridesmaids dress and just letting her do what she does best. She knew I don't like coming in very much for touchups, so she chose beautiful colors that have faded and grown out well with my hair, just how I like it! (It has been 3 months since I was in.) Rachael is amazing!! She has been doing my hair for years, I completely trust her with my color and cut. I am always 100% satisfied and leave feeling beautiful and refreshed! I've seen her twice, I sadly moved across the country with my husband, and both times I was so very happy with my cut and color. After a terrible hair disaster somewhere else, I was panicking and didn't know what to do with my bright sherbet orange hair. The person was unable to fix it after three tries. I was completely mortified! I called RACHAEL and she came to my rescue and not only was able to fix my hair but was able to make it look natural and a color that I loved!!
