I found this place on the Springfield Coffee Trail. I disliked this place so much I didn't even finish 1/2 of my cup of coffee. I went to have some time to care for personal business, - balance my budget, plan out my grocery list and meal plan, etc. 1. The seating isn't really set up to conduct business. It's more of a hang out with friends place I guess. But, didn't really have much room set up fit that either. 2. The employee had no idea what the coffee trail was, that the business was part of it, or know the code needed to check in. 3. Couldn't find a trash can anywhere! 4. I went outside to sit where I thought there was better seating for things I needed to care for. I was approached by a homeless couple who pretty aggressively asked for money. Then a few minutes later another homeless man just stood there watching me. I grabbed my purse and put it on my shoulder and clutched it tight. He than walked so close to me I could feel him behind me and there was plenty of room he had absolutely no reason to be that close to me. Overall 0/0 . I will never go back and would not recommend the place to anyone else either. read more

We were traveling through and stopped for coffee & breakfast. First impression: pleasant environment, super cute, delicious smells. Open space but small enough to be comfortable. Would be enjoyable to hang out alone or with friends. I had a cortado, it was so good (for people who like the flavor of coffee, it's not sweet--besides the natural sweetness of milk). All the breakfast items we ordered were great (burrito, bagel sandwich, etc). Cinnamon roll was yummy, bagel was fresh! Tab adds up quickly for a family but it was worth it for us. Thank you for saving me from hotel coffee! The barista who served me made me their signature latte and it was fantastic. I needed something better than hotel coffee to get me through this last day of work travel. I will come here EVERY morning now when I travel here! You could tell the coffee was fresh and well made. Next time I will order a cup of regular coffee but this treat hit the spot this morning. I will recommend it to my coworkers traveling in because we all love good coffee! read more

Ordered a drip coffee with added milk on the drive thru. 15 minutes later he tells us at the windows that they had to start a new pot and are running behind so would we please pull up. He did offer a refund but we felt awkward accepting that bc it was just going to be "4 more minutes". 10+ minutes later someone runs our single cup of coffee out. We drives away. I take a sip. It's gross. And there's no milk/cream added to it. Thankfully we're sitting in the Whataburger drive thru to get our kids a quick breakfast before continuing on our roadtrip, so my husband gets a couple half&half's there. I add and take another sip. Nope. No helping this coffee. It is the most bitter disgusting cup I've ever tasted. Something is definitely wrong with it. Too bad we've already wasted enough time and are finally back on 44. I always like to stop by local coffee shops when I'm back in Springfield visiting friends/family. I started following Echelon on Instagram during the building process so I was excited to stop by this weekend. I could tell that the staff was still learning because of some mix ups, but both of the drinks we ordered tasted great! We got a vanilla latte and the formation frappe. We were traveling through Springfield on a road trip and planned to get coffee at a nearby chain when we drove by this place and saw there was no line in the drive thru. What a great find! My cappuccino was excellent and the milk was textured perfectly. Latte art in a to go cup? Yes, please! The service was also very attentive. The staff here is super nice, informative of the menu options. They have not been open for very long but a really neat vibe at this coffee shop. I've ordered the cold brew coffee, it's got good flavor, hence of chocolate. I sound so pretentious. But overall it's good coffee. A nice alternative to the giant chains that are out there. read more

Only 1 drip roast- medium? Thats what McDonalds does. Not a premium coffee place. Also, no heavy cream ( by the way, having oat milk is not an offset) I know 2 stars is harsh- but this new place needs an early correction or it is at risk of never becoming an established place. It seems ok if you are after a sandwich or some kind of frappa-whatever, but it is not yet a "coffee" place. read more

I am always seeking non-franchised coffee because you might actually find something outstanding. This was my second visit (only happened upon on the way to drop off kiddo to college) and thought that the first time could have been a fluke. Nope. Both times the food and drink were amazing. They made a fine cortado and was convinced to have have their "world famous coffee cake" which just came from the oven. Was really pretty good and perhaps the smoothest textured coffee cake I've had.
