Please read this entire review before taking your vehicle to Eby Ford for service. Eby Ford's service department was the worst car experience I have ever had. I had my car serviced at Eby for two years, mostly for scheduled oil changes. In those two years, I experienced the following problems: 1. I was told my tires' tread depth was "dangerously low" and they needed to be replaced. My tires are rated for 50,000 miles and had 10,000 miles of wear at that time. I asked the service advisor to measure the tread depth in front of me. The service technician's measurement was wrong and the advisor quickly attributed the mistake to a "confusion in paperwork." 2. My car was pulling to the right when I braked. I read about potential causes online and took it to Eby to be inspected. I talked with the service advisor about those potential causes, one of them being a stuck caliper slide. Eby charged me over $200 to grease the caliper slides. A visual inspection of the right front caliper would have revealed a stuck slide, but Eby serviced all four calipers unnecessarily. After that did not fix the problem, the service advisor told me my car had a bent control arm that needed to be replaced, for another $300. 3. My car needed brake service. Ford had a special offer, $180 per axle for machined rotors and new brake pads. I printed the offer directly from Eby's website and took my car in for service. The first question I asked the service advisor was if Eby would honor that price. She said yes. As I waited, the advisor came into the lounge and told me that my rear brake pads did not need to be replaced because there was a lot of material left on the pad. I objected, but she assured me that the pads were fine and only needed to be machined. After the work was finished, Eby had overcharged me by $60 and the work was not done correctly. 4. My final trip to Eby was for a scheduled oil change, following the events in number 3. The service advisor came into the lounge and told me that my rear brake pads were "dangerously thin" and needed to be replaced immediately. Eby wanted to charge me $215 just to replace the rear brake pads when they should have already been replaced during the previous job. I refused the work and demanded my vehicle be brought out. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of a much bigger problem. 5. After the oil change in number 4, my car was leaking oil, unbeknownst to me. Eby's service department manager called my phone and left a message ten minutes after I left their lot. He did not tell me my car was leaking oil, even though I found out later from a service advisor that he knew. Over the next two days, almost all of the oil leaked out of my car. When I saw the oil pressure light and the spots on the ground, I called Eby. The service advisor suggested I pay to have my car towed to their lot. At that point, I got angry and demanded that Eby pay for the tow. Eby kept my car for two days. After not hearing from them, I called and spoke to the service department manager; he attributed the leak to a broken oil filter gasket. He actually had the audacity to say to me, "Don't worry, it wasn't any fault of your own." I was furious and told him I would be there right away to pick up my car. When I arrived 30 minutes later, he had left for the day. I asked to see the broken part and was told that it had just been shipped to Ford for a diagnostic inspection. I was not able to speak to the service department manager or inspect the allegedly broken part in person. I cannot remember a single visit to Eby Ford's service department where they did not try to sell me a service through some measure of fear-mongering. Service reports had measurement discrepancies compared to previous reports. Work was done extremely poorly and for more than the quoted price. My lack of knowledge of vehicle maintenance was exploited. Finally, an Eby service advisor suggested I not bring my car back because they had damaged his engine with a botched oil change. I would highly recommend not taking your vehicle to Eby Ford for service of any kind. read more

NO LONGER DREADING CAR SHOPPING .... It was that time to get a new car (EXCITING RIGHT) but I was dreading every moment of the CAR SHOPPING PART.... Because he did just that (LISTENED) and provided me accurate information, so I could make an actual educated decision about my new vehicle purchase. I was able to pick out a vehicle that fit all my wants and needs while being one of the most honest and energetic guys I have had the pleasure of meeting. It truly was a pleasure to work with Jay! My experience buying a 2016 Ford Escape at Eby Ford was by far the best experience I've had at a dealership!!! I had been looking for a specific car for 3 weeks and had been promised the car by two different dealerships near me in Indiana, only to be told at the last second that they wouldn't get the car for me because it was too much hassle. So I made an online contact request with Eby Ford and by the next morning, they had emailed me a price below MSRP and way below what the other dealerships were offering, saying she would be happy to hold the car for me. They then walked me through the process, answered all of my questions, and always got back to me within an hour of my email or call. When I got there, everything was ready to go and there were no surprises. They didn't play games like most dealerships, they were very straight forward and professional and friendly people!! We were 1100 miles away from home and had just bought a truck camper. One of our trailer light connections was not working properly. We needed it for our long drive back home. Troy Dzialak, the service manager, went above and beyond to get our lights working in a very short amount of time. He was able to get us back on the road quickly while juggling a full line of other customers. He and his service crew were very professional and knowledgeable. Very patient staff. If there is a way they can help you out they will find it no matter how many times you have been turned down before. Very friendly and understanding staff that makes sure you understand all the terms and conditions. They even make sure you know all of your cars features before leaving the lot. Great follow ups too.
