I'm originally from Central Connecticut and any spa that performed a lip wax always cleansed the area of makeup base and used a magnifying loop to better see the baby fine hairs on the lip. Then pluck a couple that may be strays and apply a soothing lotion. Thus owner did not use a loop, rushed through the process, I told her I could still feel a ton of prickly hairs so she proceeds to rant about hiw she's a legend in the industry. She then gets aggressive with tweezing BUNCHES of hairs all at the same time which HURT!! Why was so much still there?? Never applied any soothing lotion!! She is absolutely a train wreck and unprofessional!! I have never experienced this at other spas over 4 decades of having this performed, EVER!!

It's the same as my house! Anna was finishing up a haircut on a young man. I tried to be inconspicuous, but I watched and listened carefully to her asking him his thoughts. She stopped and allowed him to check every section. That impressed me because you get a little nervous meeting a hairstylist for the first time. Next, it was on to me. I was contemplating for months letting my gray roots grow out to (becoming grayage) the point where I was literally depressed. I didn't like it at all because I really wasn't ready for "that look". So Anna sat me down and we chatted about my current blonde shade, my darker tones underneath and what I envisioned looking like at the end of my appointment. She meticulously checked my (previous) cut and fixed a few disconnected sections. She suggested that my roots be the same color as my darker tone and then would add a few low lights to break up the blonde for some dimension. We chatted throughout the entire appointment and unbeknownst to us, we have so many connections- as if something in the (h)air brought us together. Her blowout was literally the best one I've ever had. Well, feeling beautiful is an understatement!! She did exactly what I wanted, and I walked out feeling more confident than I ever have leaving a salon. She is a beautiful, young, talented, new stylist, but her heart, soul and expertise makes you think she's been doing hair professionally for years!!
