Pleasant haircut visit. Friendly staff. Swept after each haircut. Overall very clean Will return.

I had a 9.99 coupon to try out the location. The person who cut my hair didn't listen and chopped my hair off. She didn't do the haircut I wanted at all. I won't go back. It was cut way too short. I told her I wanted it long enough so I could put up in a ponytail. That did not happen. read more

The stylists are all very nice and do a wonderful job! I had very long hair when I went there the first time. The stylist asked me what I'd like, maybe a trim of the split ends? I said, "Nope, I want short." The look on her face was priceless LOL. She cut my hair short and it was perfect! read more

Consistently bad haircuts. Not coming back. Uneven sides. Asked to keep bangs even, they styled to the left like a Nike swoop. read more

Another great haircut by Rosalinda! Been a while since I got my favorite hair stylist but glad to drop by when we are in Waterford. The layout of the store is different with covid. Seats have been removed and social distance areas at the lobby and between the chairs. I feel safe and taken care of when I'm here and Rosalinda know exactly what I want and sometimes something I didn't know I needed. read more

Stylist did not listen and haircut awful. Length is crooked. Went to Wallingford location. Never again. Stylist name ana

I was hesitant at first because getting my son a haircut is literally the most stressful thing I try to avoid doing at all costs. Tammy however was INCREDIBLE! a daunting task that usually takes a torturous 1 hr to cut my autistic son's hair took maybe 25 minutes. She was kind , quick and efficient. I am soooo happy we went and she now has a forever customer with my family. read more

Great Clips - A very happy 6 yr old with his fresh haircut by Tammy - Hair Salons Near Me - Waterford, Connecticut

Aida always cuts my hair and does a great job. She's friendly and gives me exactly what I need. Highly recommended.

Excellent service, especially with a last-minute appointment! Very reasonable rates. Extremely professional with a very friendly staff!

I asked for bangs. This is the legit worst thing I've ever experienced. Completely uneven and ridiculously ridiculous looking. Took them five minutes and cost me 27 dollars + my dignity. Never go here. I'm being dramatic but I'm not being dramatic. ALSO SHE LOST MY EARRING BACK BY RUNNING A COMB THROUGH MY HAIR TOO HARD. I left it there because I wanted to get out. read more

Terrible store. Didn't open on time (at least 20 minutes late). Their Website claimed online check-in was unsupported at this location. When I showed up they told me someone had checked in online ahead of me. I guess online checkin only works once the store is open and the erroneous message is an issue with their website. This place is completely mismanaged, stay away. read more

They are lacking in knowledge when it comes to those with TEXTURED hair who are tan, brown, black. Never again will I be requesting their sevices. Their services/prices are al-a-cart; which I was not aware or made aware. My wash, cut, blow-dry and flat iron cost me over $60. read more

I went here and I told the lady to give me a low fade and not cut the top at all, even pointed it out for her where not to cut AT ALL. Immediately went up the whole side of my head through the top and cut through the hair I told her not to. Felt like I was just another number to her and she just wanted my haircut to be over with so she could do the next person just as dirty as she did me. If you're looking for a specific haircut and for the salon members to actually listen to you, this is not the place. Never coming here again and letting all my friends know this is a last resort hair cut place at best. I'd rather have the dragon lady in boot camp do me up. read more

Terrible cut and service. I was unhappy and talked to the manager Lisa. I asked about a coupon she said and I quote "we don't do that no more.!" How? Is she a manager! Bring back the other girl, read more

Gross. They don't clean equipment between haircuts properly and some of the stylists don't listen. Begrudging left a tip and paid for a crooked haircut. They don't follow proper procedure for waiting in line like other locations. Got an infection on my neck, probably because of poor sanitation. Never going back. read more

My daughter went in with waist length for some layers on top and walked out with shoulder length hair in tears. The stylist rushed through in 5 minutes flat, did not listen, paid no attention to the photos. She cut 10 inches of the length and barely any layers. We will NEVER return. read more

Was running errands with wife and 11mth old boy and saw the $5.99 sign. I understand that a haircut is like the outfit you wear everyday, but couldn't pass on that price. Went in and staff was friendly and helpful. I was sat immediately and Aida was attentive to detail and listened carefully to the professional look I was going for. I decided to give it a shot and ask if she would cut my boy's hair for his 1yr. B-day. She was AMAZING. She had him calm, was so careful to keep him still, and let us take a million pics. I do love local, individually owned barber shops, but I will head back here with my boy whenever I get the chance. read more

Worst hair cutting place in Groton .. the women there don't know how to cut, there is one good one, Nick is the best by far, he takes his time and makes sure your hair looks good ! But ALL THE WOMEN ARE AWFUL!! I literally walked out of there WITHOUT THEM CLEANING MY HAIR UP OFF MY FACE AND NECK!! read more

This was the absolute WORST haircut I've ever had! And I've been to Supercuts! The problem there was that they did not cut my hair, only "reshape" and "style" it, leaving me with an uneven, unprofessional mess. "Great" Clips has the exact same problem. I checked in online (It's bizarre enough that they don't take appointments, now I know why! No one wants to go back!) and got a girl who called herself "Jonna" (maybe "Shawna"?). I asked for an inch off the top, buzz the back and sides with the longest attachment. She started with the buzzer - which should have been the first warning. With the buzzer, she BARELY grazed my hairline and left the back and sides way too long. Then, when she finally went to scissors, she only took off about 1/2 inch, and only in tiny "bunches" around my head. It's as if she doesn't understand that you need to re-comb and cut in overlapping segments to maintain a consistent length. (And she sure took long enough to not actually remove any hair!) No matter how much I asked for her to go shorter, she just would not cut my hair - she kept doing the same thing: take a tiny bit off of random "bunches"! To top it all off, they were having a "deal" where if you come back in 2 months, they'll give you a cut for $10. What a deal! Pay $20 so you can not my hair, guaranteeing I'll have to come back once it's back to the same length a month later, and pay another $10 for you to not cut my hair again! Ultimately, I had to leave and cut the top myself, so now it's too short. I might go back later and ask for someone else to fix the back and sides, but I honestly don't trust them. read more

This is my go-to place to get a basic haircut, They do a good job and are quick, I definitely recommend if you just need a quick simply haircut. read more

Even though I did the online check in for my youngest daughter, the person who 'greeted' us took five minutes retaking our information. Which was strange because my daughters name was right on the screen as we walked in the door. The 'greeter' was chomping gum and continued to chomp gum as she proceeded to do a quick trim on my daughters hair. Also, the 'stylists' were yelling across the floor at each other instead of walking and speaking directly at the person. At any moment I thought Tabatha Coffey was going to appear from Tabatha Takes Over, formerly, Tabatha's Salon Take Over. read more

I was skipped in line, and they moved onto the next person, while I quickly took my 3 year old to the bathroom. Customer service is poor, as you hear them talking about you while your a foot away. Not going back. read more

This place really is great. Been going here since they opened. the staff is friendly. Most times I bring my children and the staff treats them great. I can't say enough how much I like this place and I recommend it to anyone. Coupons are great, clean and beautiful. The whole staff cut hair great. I do have my favorites but everyone does a great job. read more

Me and my sister were in need of a haircut, so we made an appointment at Great clips online. To start you waited outside for your appointment, which is usually just fine, but the staff gave confusing directions and didn't directly tell you what you needed to do. They called me in before my sister, which again was perfectly fine. I was only getting a short trim so it did not take long. But during the haircut, my stylist was talking to another employee about work related stuff and what i assumed was their superior. After my haircut they tried to sell me special hair product, marketing it by saying that my well water has been destroying my hair. This I blow off because I know it is their job to sell hair products. After my sister was done, we were talking together and she was telling me about how her haircut went. She was getting the same as me, a short trim. She told me that her stylist didn't even hold her hair, just cut it off without care. Having said all of that, I would probably still go back to Great Clips just for prices and convenience. Everything really depends on who is working at the tome of your appointment. read more

I have never had my hair pulled more in my life. They were nice but didn't seem to care that I was in pain. Wouldn't recommend to anyone with long hair it was a nightmare. read more

I was there today an after knowing all the staff an them knowing my face after 2 years I have never felt disrespect like this ever. I've been discriminated in the past an the feeling of being ignored is more overwhelming I sat there after making the appointment online for 1 hour an 3 of the staff walk by me the entire time they even took other clients before me. I'm shocked an just in Awe Im not happy because I actually liked going there an I will never take anyone I know there ever or even spend money at any great clips location simply because I was ignored. At the end they were looking at me attending others rushing to go home. One of the woman with black long hair asked me what I was doing if I was waiting for someone. I already new it was a problem. I was having a awesome day until I walked in today to great clips. I told the woman I'm very patient it's ok. I said I'm tired an I know you guys are as well this is bullshit I'll never come here again. Thank you ladies for making me feel unwanted have a nice day. read more
