I've been to this salon multiple times over the past few years. Shannon, the owner, had always been…read morenice and cuts hair well. However, she books way in advance so I never can get in with her. The last time I was in, she was at the counter when the hairstylist walked me up to pay. I didn't appreciate a comment she made about how long it had been since I came in last. I know. The last year hasn't been kind to me. It wasn't a neutral comment, it was very accusatory. Self care hasn't been high on my priorities, so I don't find it appropriate to further shame me for it. All that aside, I won't be back after my most recent cut. I told the hairdresser I wanted an angled bob and showed them an inspo picture. I came in with armpit length hair so this shouldn't have been an issue. They glanced at the pic, asked me next to no clarifying questions, and proceeded to give me a chin length lord Farquaad straight bob instead. They also did not provide a mirror to see the back so it wasn't until I got home and could get a good view of the back did I realize just how different it was from what I asked for. I hoped it was the styling, but even after washing and restyling, there's no way around it. This is the second time I've cried over a haircut I've gotten from hairdressers at this salon because they just don't seem to care about what I ask for, they just do whatever they want.

I received a gift certificate for Christmas, so my mom and I made an appt for a cut/style for me and a glaze treatment for my mom. I was nervous because I couldn't find any reviews for my stylist, so I figured I would write one. Jessica Lach is AWESOME!! She has been a stylist for 20 years, and she is up to date on techniques, cuts, color, treatments, etc... She gave me the exact hair cut I wanted, and my mom's (chemically straightened) hair looked gorgeous!! Jessica took her time giving us meticulous service. My mom and I are the toughest critics out there, so for us to both walk out happy is nothing short of a miracle. I'm a people watcher by nature, so I was taking in the other happenings in the salon as well. I noticed the other stylist ( also named Jessica) gave two amazing cuts/ color while I was there; she does beautiful work on loyal clients. The whole staff is independent but they all seemed to work well together concerning walk in appts and supportive of one another in general. I've been to some real catty places, so the no-tension deal felt pretty nice.There's also two massage therapists upstairs, and I saw two clients leave happy. The waiting area is cozy, very clean, and has really comfy chairs. The only reason I didn't give a 5th star is walk-ins are "welcome", but I saw people get turned away or have a long wait. It's not even a guarantee the salon will be open at all, as all stylists are independent and make their own hours. I strongly suggest calling ahead and making an appt so you're not disappointed. There is also no social media site for the current status of the salon, so I couldn't find any reviews or portfolios online, which made me uneasy going in.
