During my recent visit to Honolulu for the Hapalua Half Marathon, I came here a couple of times for dinner. The location was tucked inside a small courtyard on the north side of Kuhio Ave just west of the International Market Place. It was behind the popular Marugame Udon. It was kind of easy to miss. On one visit, I ordered their garlic shrimp (ebi kahuku). It was very similar to what you can get up at North Shore, but these shrimp were peeled. For my other visit, I ordered their ebi a la King. It was a pretty efficient transaction. After paying for my order, I was given a pager. Once my food was ready, I grabbed a pair of chopsticks and took it back to my room to enjoy. Both items were good and delicious, but the portion was on the smaller side.

Too good not to return when I'm in the area. The Garlic Shrimp is still my favorite. No peeling necessary and no pokey shrimp heads or shells. They give you plenty of garlic on top of your shrimp and rice. They definitely make to order because it always comes out nice and hot. Come in the evening on a weekday as to avoid lines.

don't be fooled by the positive reviews. tasted like jarlic, like they just scooped it out of the jar and dumped it on top. THEY should've paid ME to eat this tourist trap shrimp.

We wanted to check EbiNomi out since it is a popular spot for garlic shrimp in the area. We ordered the garlic shrimp plate and it took a long time to come out, about 35 minutes, even though we were the only ones in line. The plate came with rice and only 6 medium sized shrimp and cost almost $23 with tax. The garlic shrimp was cooked well, not overcooked or anything but there was nothing really special about it since it just tastes like garlic and butter. Especially for the steep price, it's not worth it and was really disappointing. We were the only customers there but had to wait for outdoor seating since there are people just chilling at the tables. There are better garlic shrimp spots in the area that are more affordable and give better portions.

There's always a time or two when Yelp steers you wrong.. When you see the excellent score, then go and try the food and is left scratching your head.. Asking yourself, who gave these scores, and why?? EbiNomi was one of them places for me!! Either I ordered the wrong thing, came on an off cook day, or I didn't get the hype because the garlic shrimp I ordered here was sodium free and not delicious! I mean it literally tasted like shrimp with a gang of unseasoned cooked garlic.. that's it! There was zero wow factor, nothing interesting or different about it- just garlic, plain rice, and shrimp.. I put it on par with hospital food type Shit flavor wise! Skip it!!

It's a little tucked behind and it's more of a to go place! They do have a few tables that you can sit at outside of the restaurant. We had the garlic shrimp plate here and it was very garlic-y, which I loved! It had so many chunks of garlic! I wish it was seasoned a little more but I used hot sauce and it was good~

I ordered from Ebinomi through Uber Eats and was really happy with my meal. I had the Ebikahuku, and the shrimp were not only beautifully presented but packed with a lot of great garlic flavor. The shrimp were pretty big in size too. The portion was balanced and had a solid shrimp to rice ratio. Definitely a tasty option if you're craving garlic shrimp and want something that travels well.

Every time I'm at Waikīkī I come to this curry spot! They have some of the best curry in the entire Waikīkī strip! I got their chicken curry and it is so creamy and tasty! Their curry have a lot of coconut milk to give it that slight spice after taste, which I love! There are searing outside and nearby as this is a small restaurant where you pick up the food.

Extra spicy chicken curry! This was super delicious, this will be one of the first few spots I'd want to stop by the next time I arrive to Hawai'i! I will get it just spicy and not extra spicy this time!! The chicken was super tender and I just kept wanting that sauce! Can't wait!

It's been ages since I've had garlic shrimp, so that's what I ordered. Took about 10-15 minutes for my order to be prepared. There were 8 peeled shrimp and a lot of garlic. I love garlic. The shrimp were also plump. I enjoyed this dish.

Forget Giovanni's or Jenny's, this is the best garlic shrimp in Oahu! If you can handle a little heat, definitely recommend making it picky for a dollar more. 10/10 best bite of the trip

THE BEST SHRIMP I HAVE EVER HAD! This was our first time in Hawaii and we saw a video on TikTok about this place. The seasoning we had on shrimp prior was tasty but it was always on the shell so we were excited to try shelled shrimp and it did not disappoint!! My husband got the spicy garlic shrimp and I got the regular garlic shrimp. He said it was the best shrimp he's ever had in his life too. The owner was so friendly even though we came 15 min before he closed (parking is tricky. We ended up going to a parking garage two blocks down) and he even took our photo in front of his place for us. We will for sure be coming back every time we visit. Highly recommend!

Very disappointed by the inconsistent portions and food quality. We ordered the garlic shrimp, the same dish as another table next to us. However, when the food arrived, the portion difference was shocking. The other table received a container filled with shrimp, while our order had only about 8 shrimp, which was noticeably less and honestly unacceptable. On top of that, the fried chicken was cooked in old oil. The oil tasted stale and bitter, which strongly suggests it was not fresh. Same dishes and same prices, but very different portions and questionable food quality. This kind of inconsistency feels unfair and seriously affects the overall dining experience.

Iykyk It's located on the first floor of the embassy suites in Waikiki--right across from Dennys. Protip: if you're driving, just do valet. It's $8 with validation. I got the tasting menu with some sort of Zucchini Bao Bun with a bit of a salad & Brussels sprouts. It was tasty but they served this fried thing -- maybe zucchini? with sauce on top of a half of a bao bun. So the bun itself was dry and lacked flavor but the thing on top was great. The dish seemed disjointed and not well integrated in that regard. Why even give me a bao bun? For the main I had the salmon which was delicious. It came with a wonderful shoyu sauce and a cool rice croquette thing. Fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce brought everything together. There was also a refreshing salad on the side with a really sweet tasting dressing that was great. And the 3rd course was the Roy's chocolate soufflé which was awesome as always. If you get nothing else at Roy's, try the soufflé. The acid in the raspberry sauce cuts through the decadent chocolate beautifully. My friend had the macadamia nut crusted fish with asparagus and she said it was wonderful. Since it was her birthday, they brought out a little something for her as well. Very nice touch. Great service as always at Roy's. If you're in Waikiki and want a fancy meal, give Roy's a go. It's a hair on the pricey side for what you actually get in terms of food quality but the service and the soufflé are worth it.

I WISH I COULD GIVE MORE STARS!!!! WORTH THE PRICE! FOOD AND SERVICE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!…read more Okay seriously, I've been to a ton of expensive high end restaurants and none have impressed me like this Morimoto's. When I tell you everything that came out was amazing.... Holy moly it was SO TASTY. EVERYTHING! I was even impressed with the fried rice with how much they served and how much was in it. I personally loved the fish carpaccio, rib eye, hamachi kama, wok vegetables and malasadas for dessert. The orange chicken was my least favorite but it was still good. Oh and the STICKY RIBS...... you HAVE to get them. So crispy yet tender.... I loved how everything we had bursted in my mouth with flavor and was something I couldn't make to that level at home. Service was amazing like any other fine dining restaurant, but for the first time, I felt like this one was worth the money for how good the food was. I will definitely be back!

My bad review is entirely based on how terrible the food was. For context, we ordered Tonkatsu…read moreramen and Tsukemen dipping ramen. Ramen, according to the server, was the most popular thing on the menu, so how likely could it get messed up? Tonkatsu: Rich, but lacked any salt or had very little. We requested some salt and that instantly made the ramen better. The noodles had enough salt to carry it, but the broth was not great. It tasted like the broth was watered down or reconstituted, however no seasoning was added to re-adjust the broth. Broth: Had little salt and lacked punch, umami, and was brown instead of white. Noodles: Had enough salt to taste good, but was slightly overcooked Pork: Extremely bland. Tasted like zero salt was added during cooking. Toppings: Greatly lacking in toppings Tsukemen: The Tsukemen had a lot of the same issues. Now being a dipping ramen, the broth should be even richer and more flavorful than any normal ramen. Tsukemen -- no matter where you have it in Japan, should be richer and saltier than most broths, but the broth here was severely lacking. For $26 a bowl this was worse than your DIY frozen ramen packs. Now I'm not asking for Japan-level of ramen mastery here, this is after all, just a tourist spot -- but if your Tonkatsu is the best selling item, you have to step it up. Our server did mention that some people complained about the amount of salt in ramen, so they adjusted it. But dare I say, instead of diluting the normal salt/seasoning amount for everyone, couldn't you just add a separate, flavor-light version for people inexperienced with ramen, instead of diluting the original for everyone else? If you're reading this Mr. Morimoto, I would highly encourage you to fly here and order the ramen. I think you and I would share the same opinions. P.S. I've also been to your other Morimoto spots and it was not this bad.
