I came here on a Tuesday morning, so there was plenty of parking. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted by several staff members. It was a nice environment. I checked in to do the cave tour, and since I was a bit early, the host brought us to a shaded area outside to sit an enjoy the views. They provided us with ice cold water and asked if we would like to start with some wine tastings before the cave tour. Once the rest of the tour group arrived, the host Stephanie, began the tour. She was such a fun host! She was friendly, easy to chat with, and made the tour very interactive and fun! A bonus, I was able to bring my 10 month old baby on the tour with me. The host stated that they believe in being a family friendly location. After the tour finished, we went back up to the deck outside and completed the wine tastings. The wine tasting is complimentary and you can taste additional wines for $10 per person. I recommend doing the additional tastings. I also purchased a cheese board to enjoy with my wines. The wines were amazing here. I typically do not like red wines but I absolutely loved all the reds we tried here. The red wines were so smooth and had such good flavors. My favorites were the sangiovese and the "GMS." I highly recommend visiting this winery. It was such a pleasant and relaxing experience which is the epitome of wine tasting! We had an amazing experience at Eberle. The vineyard is beautiful. The tasting is free (there's tip of course!) the tables are moved outside. There are two sweet poodles on the campus. Very warm reception at this winery. The winery is dog friendly, the staff down to earth, the wine is very good, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. We especially liked the Sangiovese and the Zinfandel was also very good. We frequent all kinds of wineries, big and small, and this was a fun visit. The tasting room and patio are beautiful, and the winery is right off the 46 highway. Easy stop on the way in from the 5 if you are arriving in Paso. Great winery in Paso Robles off the 46. We called at 3pm on a Monday as we were driving through town and made a reservation for 3:30pm. I don't think this would be possible on the weekend, but we appreciated getting a spot last minute. Currently their wine tasting is "free" but you pay a $10 reservation fee to hold your spot for your party. That $10 can go towards a wine purchase at the end. We enjoyed the 5 tastings. Reds were good and the Chardonnay was one of the best we've had, not too buttery. The Cabernet Sauvignon was the best by far of the 5, coming from their oldest vine on the property and it was the most expensive. We loved sitting on the patio over looking the vineyard. It was a windy day and a little chilly so the sun felt great, but you will get a little sun burnt sitting in the direct sun so wear a hat or sun screen. They also had some cheese plates for sale to pair with the wine. And you could also bring your own snacks. We purchased the full boar red bottle, it was a great red blend. read more

Absolutely LOVED our visit to the Eberle Winery! Of the six or seven wineries we visited, this was the only winery that offered complementary tastings followed by a tour of their caves where they have around 15,000.00 barrels of aging wines. They have a beautiful patio overlooking their vineyards with live music which we enjoyed while sipping a bottle of wine and a cheese platter we were able to purchase. We even had opportunity to chat with the Vineyard owner who sits out front with his glass of wine for multiple hours each day. We're looking forward to coming back soon to enjoy an outdoor BBQ they often host; apparently that TOO is complementary:-) Loved seeing Hungarian oak barrels being used. Gary agreed to sell me some when they age out and get retired. Sadly they have another 4 years to go before they'll be ready for retirement. Not only did we join their wine club but also ordered and already received four cases of their full red boar for our son's rehearsal dinner. Being a member at Eberle is amazing! For anyone having doubts... sign up! For my birthday I came out to Paso and totally loved my experience at Eberle. I am a wine club member and had the opportunity to sign up for the VIP wine tasting. My group was away from the crowed and they followed all guidelines and precautions. Christian poured our wine and was an absolute doll! He was amazing and had so much knowledge which was great for the party of people I took as it was their first time there. The VIP experience consisted of an amazing cheese board that paired perfectly with our wines. I will continue to be a member and love that they were able to accommodate me even though I added two extra people last minute thank you Jenna. Ok, I so much wanted to love this place after it was recommended to me. We arrived to find it very crowded and busy which had me thinking it was popular due the great wines? We did not find this to be the case, although the cab offered was good, it wasn't great. The servers (we had 3 attend to us as they flew by to other groups) seemed almost annoyed to me as if having to stop and pour another sample was interrupting their day. We did take part in a cave tour that was not interesting, probably because the group we attended with was so so large it was hard to hear what was being said much of the time. The owner was pointed out to us, he was just a few feet away, but he never looked up or smiled or acknowledged anyone. Yes, it was free and yes it included a tasting and a tour but I was not impressed. The other places I visited were welcoming and fun, this place was not. read more

We have been to Eberle a few times and enjoy it but this past visit was exceptional! We brought our 7 month old which can be tricky during a wine tasting. Our second visit in 4 years - I remembered we had a wonderful wine tasting experience years ago and bought some wine. This time we invited 4 family members to join us and hard to believe that it is still free! That speaks volume to the confidence of its winemaker/owner to the quality of its wine. Sure enough, we ended up joining their Pioneer wine club and during this visit all of us bought a total of 13 bottles. True to his word, Gary Eberle is correct, no need to charge for wine tasting- if your wine is good, customers will purchase. Our favorites are: 2021 Estate Viognier 2021 Estate Chardonnay 2021 Muscat Canelli NV Full Boar Red 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 Vintage Port Tamara was the staff who helped us- she was informative and such a riot - I told her she should be a stand up comedienne! Oh Eberle! I will 100% recommend this winery to everyone for several reasons! It is a long list so let me break it up into parts. FREE WINE TASTING! Yes I said that! It is free to taste the wine. How many wineries in Paso Robles, or frankly anywhere, offer free wine tasting?! Now yes you do need to secure a reservation with a credit card in the amount of $10. After your done tasting you can either use that $10 towards the purchase of a bottle (which I did) or get that $10 refunded. The grounds are seriously perfection. Here are the areas I LOVED! 1. Wine Tasting location. You are tasting wine on a patio that overlooks the whole vineyard. So beautiful! 2. The caves. Now these are closed at the moment, but judging how amazing the rest of the land is I will assume it is great there too. 3. The Gift Shop. I never thought I would put this on a review. However this gift shop overlooks the area where they make the wine. So while you are in the gift shop you can watch the wine being made. It is amazing! I absolutely loved every wine I tried! It is a high quality product they produce. The knowledge of the staff on all the wines was incredible. They also gave us local recommendations on where to eat at after we were done tasting wine. One of my favorite moments was arriving a few minutes early and talking to a gentleman outside the winery. I was talking about my day and just having a great chat. Later in my wine tasting I found out that the friendly man I was talking to is the owner of the winery. His friendliness, humbleness, and overall warm welcoming natures was incredible. This was our first time visiting winery at Paso Robles. Our guide book recommended Eberle and we were not disappointed. We did not do the wine tasting but instead ordered wine by the glass, tried two different wines as recommended by our wait staff. Both the wines were excellent. We wanted to buy some of these wines and they were pricey. They have a beautiful patio outside for dining and wine tasting. We also get a good view of the winery and valley on a nice clear day. If you are doing side trips around SLO this would be a good spot to check out. We will also try their food next time we visit them. read more

Would not recommend and would never come back. We've been to many other wineries here in Paso and Napa and this was easily the worst customer service and hospitality we've experienced. We had a party of 8, confirmed reservation for the balcony seating. We unfortunately show up late due to the fact that two families in our party has young kids assuming we could still get seated. The host that greets me was not friendly, and greeted me with attitude. I told her we had a reservation and told me that they had cancelled it without explaining why. After that, she didn't say anything else. Just sat there and didn't make eye contact. It took me initiating further to figure out they'd cancelled cause we were late. I tried to work with her to see if the table was still available, or if it was already taken, but changed the subject and said we could sit at the bar. We are a party of 8, and sitting at the bar is just not conducive to conversation. She then pulled up two small tables and since we were already there, we took the seats. In general, she was not friendly, showed no hospitality, and did not care to even speak with me. We then asked our waiter, if we could maybe be moved outside if a table opened up, but she told us no cause they were fully booked. We asked her again, if there was another no-show if we could be moved, and she said no because there were not going to be any no-shows. Who says that? She can't predict the future. Fine, we stayed where we were and got our drinks, and later on decided to roam the property. OF COURSE THE BALCONY WAS HALF EMPTY. "Fully booked" huh? read more

Went here over Labor day weekend. It was a toasty 110F outside, so they only had indoor tastings. The room is very modest sized. The tour also includes a tour of the wine cave. We tasted 5 wines. Due to the move to indoor the organization of tables was disorganized and it was very noisy. The wines were OK, but maybe not quite our taste profile. COVId review Apparently I was here 7 years ago! Totally forgot about it. Overall, 4 stars for the view and service and price and 3 stars for the wine. Eberle means wild boar in German. It's also said that the owner was the first one to plant Syrah in America land. Unfortunately we didn't find their Syrah as full body and flavorful as some others. Reservation only due to COVID but they still offer cave tour if you book online. Reservation is $10 per party, but can be deducted from bottle purchase. Otherwise tasting is free. So I think the pricing provides good incentive for the crowd. The view on the deck is amazing as usual. In November the vines are in red and brown colors, very special and beautiful. The wine is ok, too thin for our palettes. My new discovery is their Muscat Canelli, refreshingly sweet. read more

This was our first visit to Eberle. The grounds were beautiful and the tasting patio overlooked the winery. It was pretty windy the day we visited, hold onto everything at your table! Tamara served us, she was attentive and pleasant. I would have loved to hear more about Eberle's history. Tastings were free. You never see that anywhere anymore. We bought a few bottles to take with us. Four stars for the food - chacuterie board. Mediocre at best. The winery should upgrade their selection and charge a bit more. Wonderful winery! We went there for a wine tasting and had about 5 wineries to hit! I'd highly recommend to start your day here! The stuff is amazing and knowledgeable! You are actually going to learn something! They do a free tour around the facility explaining the whole process of wine making and you get to actually see how the wine is done! (There's also an option to purchase a private tasting underground between barrels! Wow!) The views are wonderful and the wine is decent! On our way home, we decided on whim to stop at Eberle Winery for wine tasting. The timing was perfect too, we arrived just in time for their next scheduled wine tour. There was a dozen of us in the tour and it was complimentary. The tour commenced in their patio which showcased a gorgeous view of the property. It was followed by tour of wine cave, which I have to agree with everyone is the best part. Not at all warm or hot inside, but surprisingly cool. It was stock piled with wine barrels everywhere for aging. There's even a private dining room for special events which offers a great ambiance. They have special dinner events for their wine club members during holidays. Kristi, our host, did a amazing job and we learned a lot about the wine-making process from start to finish. Also, got some insight on owner and history of Paso as a wine region. The tour finished in the their tasting room. They don't charge for their wine tasting, so I was able to sample a good variety of red and white wines. My favorites were the Cabernet Sauvignon and Vintage Port. The wines vary in price from Rose ($24 per bottle) to their Reserve Estate Cabernet Sauvignon ($100 per bottle). Truly a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. Came here for a wine tasting. I had served Eberle wines in my previous life as a wine buyer and really wanted to check out this winery - never having been there. The process works well. You make a reservation and are charged $10 deposit for your whole group. (this deposit is applied to any purchase) We went at our assigned time. We were greeted and seated on a patio with a great view of their vineyard. There was enough space between tables. Our Wine host was Brianna. She came to the table and explained how the tasting worked and poured our first wine. She gave a nice description of the wine nuances and left, leaving us to enjoy that wine. She kept an eye on us and when we had finished the first one (Chardonnay - AWESOME) and rinsed our glasses with the bottle of water for each of us, she returned with the next pour. Brianna continued the process throughout the tasting, describing all the wines. (The standard tasting is five wines) I looked at their list and requested additional samples as I was interested in possibly purchasing two that were not on the list and she graciously brought them out to me and my guest. They have an excellent selection on their tasting list and a much larger selection of wines that they produce. All the wines we tasted - I thought were very good. Brianna explained the wine club to us and said that we could make the days purchase count as our first shipment (of two for the year) and save 20%. There was no pressure at all to purchase, but we wanted to take some of these home. We bought eight bottles. Toward the end I noticed the owner Gary walking out of the tasting room, and walked over to introduce myself and have a chat. He invited me to sit at the table with him. He was very friendly, and we had a nice, short talk about the past wine that we poured of theirs. We didn't take the cave tour that day - but now that we joined the club - we can take the tour, and have a private tasting down there with a few of my friends. They also offer an upgraded tasting for $10. Patio is nice with a great view of the vineyards. There was live music, as well. The wines were good.
