December 2024 we asked for a lease extension which we do yearly. Typically, we hear back within a few weeks. We never heard anything and had to keep asking...Toby Soto and Susy Parrot were nothing but non-communicative. When they did communicate we were harassed...daily. I have the text messages to confirm. I had to block their text line. We moved out in March of 2025. They've since tried listing the property that has termites that have not been treated, has carpenter bees, the back fence is falling down and there are rats everywhere because of the ivy growing between properties at 1690 juniper in Solvang for $4200 over $1200 more than we were paying. There are birds that live inside the attic and the plumbing all backs up monthly. The property isn't renting...as it's in awful shape. It has brick floors which tore all of our feet up over the 5 years we lived there...a small kitchen, the bathtub & "master shower" which is the size of a beach shower both back up monthly and many other problems. They tried to say we stole the washer and dryer in the unit which we replaced and were told we could replace because they don't keep accurate records. They tried to send us notices to clean the carpets professionally before moving out. There are NO carpets in this home. Brick and old outdated wood. Again they don't keep accurate records. They didn't even have our move in inspection on file. Surprise!! I have it still. Thank god! The fridge/fridge sucks and needs to be replaced as well as the dishwasher and stove/oven. There is no microwave in the unit, don't know why they're listing it with one . The garage door also needs to be replaced. There is a leak somewhere in the walls between the master and hall bath and it creates a leak in the floor boards which we were cited for even with a request to fix and photos back from 2020. Tried saying it was from going in and out of the shower/bath when we not once in 5 years used the master shower and the damaged was on the other side of the toilet and an unfinished maintenance request from 2020. They've since lowered the price to $3900. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY FROM THEM or any property from plus property. They are not honest people nor do they care about anything but money. We're working with a lawyer and have also reported them to the BBB! Hopefully saving others from this disaster.

They made my move easy and painless last August 2017. Then the owner of the property decided no more rentals and they were forced to give me a 60-day notice to terminate my agreement. That notice came the day after I moved out of my condo in Calabasas as I needed to sell. The day after that I lost a dear writer friend to cancer. I was devastated. I had a really bad experience with Plus Property Management and Tower gave me advice of my rights as a prospective tenant (I haven't been one in many years.) They held my hand, then helped me find another awesome house. Not only did they empathize with my problem, but they went to work to solve it. I will forever be grateful. Thank you, Glenda and Laura​, you two are very special and all property management companies should learn from you.

I own a residence with my 76 year old mother, and after finally being offered and accepting a job, which would require me to move 300 miles away, I didn't want to leave my mom with the difficulty of advertising, interviewing prospective renters, and collecting rent from tenants that would be renting the place when I moved out. I contacted Tower Property Management, and my mom and I met with the owner, gave her several extra keys to the premises that I had made, signed the management contract, and gave them $200 to commence managing the property. When I moved from the area a few days later, I felt satisfied that by hiring a property manager to take care of things in my absence, I had eliminated any burden that my move might have placed on my mother. Well I guess their style of management is, "out of sight - out of mind", because after I moved, the owner's sister did one walk-through to see what needed to be repaired/improved prior to a renter moving in, but they never provided any list, estimates, or idea of what contractors or costs might be involved. They never returned any of my calls or my mother's calls, and basically did absolutely nothing to commence their performance of the management contract we'd signed. My mom even went to the office a couple of times to speak to the owner, but she was never in. Finally, after over 90 days and hearing nothing from Tower Property Management, my mom was forced to make the decision to use another property management business. Within 9 days after speaking to my mom, the other property manager she had just seen, informed her that he had a renter and gave her a time frame and written estimates for the work that needed to be done prior to the renter moving in! He managed to accomplish in 9 days, what Tower Property Management couldn't (or more likely wouldn't) do in more than 90 days! Then, when my mom went to Tower to get the $200 check back from them because they hadn't done anything, the owner wrote and gave my mother a check for $123, and told her they were keeping $77 because she didn't give them a written 30 day notice prior to terminating their service contract!!! This business is nothing but a rip-off , and I wouldn't refer them to my worst enemy! I give them an F-

We try our best to be good tenants, and they've done their best to take care of us. It makes such a huge difference having good property management supporting you and your family when you're renting. She does have a negative credit history, as she has been diagnosed with several medical issues that prevent her from seeking employment. The answer given by the receptionist was that only Scott could make that decision, and she would make that inquiry for us. When I phoned again four days later to learn what his answer was, I was now told that I would have to personally meet with him to learn his decision. However, I was advised that he was not available at that time. I left many phone messages after that, but none were ever returned. Several weeks later, after I had finally accepted that I would not have further access to their services, I received a phone call from this office. I was told that there was a home in Mission Hills for rent where all three of us would be accepted as tenants. When I referred to their previous decision regarding my granddaughter, I was reassured that she would be approved. When I viewed the home, I began to realize what was going on. This particular rental had been available for an unusually long time, and I could see why. It was a horrible place to call home. First of all, it is in Mission Hills, which is not the most desirable residential area. The tour revealed a kitchen that was a disaster, as were both the front and back yards. Just to prove my suspicions, I inquired as to whether there were any other rentals that would accept my granddaughter. The response to that, of course, was that there were none. It didn't take a genius to see that they needed to get renters for this unpleasant residence and, hopefully, I would be desperate enough to make that possible. Otherwise, they would have explained why all three of us were acceptable here, but not in any other rental. My granddaughter could not contribute financially and our source of income would remain the same, regardless of where we live. I will never do business with this agency again, and I warn anyone else considering such an association to be very careful! Look for deceit and dishonesty under their artificial posturing! If you are looking for a super rental office, try Plus Property. These ladies are wonderful and so helpful every step of the way. They really want to work with you and willingly keep you advised as to the current rental market. They are always agreeable to appointments for viewing available homes.

I did not realize the extent of the disrepair since I was not allowed to view the property until our move-in date. Searchlight did not take over the management of the house until a month after my move-in date and had no clue of the overall condition of the house and yard either, since apparently the previous property mgt company did not convey that information to them. We lived there for 2 years and moved out a month ago. We left the house in much better shape than it was when we moved in, yet we are being charged for general house cleaning and carpet cleaning as well as items (not ours) being left behind. When I moved in, the previous tenant who moved out the same day as I moved in, left behind junk inside and outside of the house. There were holes in the walls and they desperately needed painting. The family room blinds were broken and looked awful. The sprinkler system in the front and back yard did not work. The only thing that did get fixed was the hole in the wall after I complained numerous times. Oh, and they finally got a gardener out to fix the irrigation system only a few months ago. The previous tenant had 3 German Shepherds who were indoor dogs according to the neighbors. The carpets were dirty with tons of dog hairs. The baseboards even had dog hairs on them. The rest of the house wasn't much better. I need this money. This is an outrage and needs to be rectified immediately. They have 21 days to return the deposit and that time has passed a week ago. Everything is being bungled. Don't use this company!!

They also charged me for broken sprinklers and dry spots in the grass even though the sprinklers were always broken and maintained by them. I was told to leave wall mounts in order to avoid paying for holes and was still charged. If you rent from them take DETAILED PICTURES AND VIDEOS upon moving in and out or you may not get your deposit back. I do not recommend using their business.
