I only had to wait 10 minutes outside and five minutes inside. The people giving the shots were professional quick and pleasant. also they had the instant Covid tests in stock for $30. I haven't been able to find those anywhere. This pharmacy also makes herbal remedies and compounds. I'm going to try their sleep time vegetarian capsules that support sleep anxiety and stress. Very pleased how this all went.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They greet you as soon as you step up to the register. There is almost never align. Even when there is, it's only one person. You can use the Walgreens app to order your prescriptions. They app, or the staff via telephone, will tell you when your prescription is ready. THE DEAL: if you're looking for a quick pharmacy, this Walgreens in Back Bay is it!

Provides free delivery of prescriptions so I don't have to drive into the city. Finally gave up on Walgreens.

Key words IN NEED. While 'in need' usually just means those who are sick, with the prices of some prescription medicines, 'In Need' also means those who can not afford them. This pharmacy is a basic pharmacy, however, they are a non-for profit aiming to provide drugs to those in financial need. Conveniently located in the Fenway area, they offer free delivery. Note this place is strictly for prescription drugs, there is no actual store to browse through, etc, you can't get that lat minute umbrella or candy bar, but there are plenty of those kinds of pharmacies around.

There was a young man restocking items. He asked if he was in my way but he wasn't. Someone is training the store staff really well. The man at the pharmacy counter and drive-thru window was organized and charming - very friendly. He set me up with the paperwork for my vaccine. The pharmacist (I am remiss because I didn't get her name) is really the star of this review. Very professional and ... this is very important ... she called me by my first name. I wasn't some random person getting a shot; she made me feel important as a person. She mentioned she also works at the North Providence store (1665 Mineral Spring Ave). Wow. It's a pharmacy, not a toy shop, so it can only be so exciting. That being said, my experiences…read morehave been overall pretty good and consistent here. The pharmacists are (mostly) friendly, and prescriptions are usually ready for pickup within 10-15 minutes of waiting. The cons? There is no fancy online portal like most hospitals have. The portal they do have is more of a digital form submission, and then you get a text/email confirmation when it's ready for pick up. It does seem pretty glitchy; I once got a text to pick up a second prescription I'd ordered (that I assumed wasn't ready yet) about 2 minutes after I picked up the first one, as if the notification was triggered by my pickup. The people who answer the phones are usually irritated and/or in a rush to get you off the line. I had a gentleman that wasn't very friendly on the phone today when I called to see if a prescription was ready. I've also had the phone just ring with no answer. When I've asked to be called for pickup notification, no one ever calls. Oh, and bags are 5 cents. All that being said, the location is extremely convenient for T-users or Back Bay workers (it's between the Arlington green line stop and the Back Bay orange line stop, in a brick building next to a furniture store). The pharmacists know their stuff, are certified with iPledge, and are not shy to give you a full lesson of your new prescription, which I love. There's also free pill organizers and slicers, and I can't complain about that!

Kind of hit or miss…read more They have a local courier and will ship to locations outside the neighborhood, which is nice. However, the courier service leaves controlled substances on the porch or in the mailbox where they get stolen, then the pharmacy denies it happened, insisting "those require a signature" (but is apparently not able to pull up a signature log or anything, just insisting the courier wouldn't have left them without a signature), and then makes the patient do the legwork to get new prescriptions from the provider. The staff are incompetent, but the manager will usually fix things. They do things like enter prescription refills as new prescriptions, or fill controlled substance prescriptions out of order, and then the previous ones expire. The manager can usually sort this out, but it shouldn't require asking for the manager every time. I've had to insist the pharmacy call the provider to explain that new prescriptions are needed because of the pharmacy's error. They wanted the patient to call, and seem to be lacking awareness in terms of community healthcare for marginalized people. I had to spell out for them why it looks bad when someone is requesting replacement prescriptions of controlled substances every few months.
