We came on a Sunday after church and it was busy. Our server, Kathy, gave us a quick update and we decided to get the Brunch Buffet, which has a good amount of options. My only knock on the buffet was the fried chicken was not that good. The breading was heavy and the chicken seemed sparse. The location we went to is, obviously, a "hub" of activity. My very first visit to this restaurant chain. It has a Denny's/ Big Boy feel to it. A diner serving comfort food all day. We were seated in a booth in the very back by the mural wall. Nothing hits quite like an Eat'n Park salad bar!! Was out to lunch with my parents and couldn't pass it up! When we were at this location someone spotted a kiddo with their hands through literally all of the salad bar items and the staff was super swift to shut it down, swap it all out, so efficient and quick - they didn't skip a beat keeping everyone safe and happy! So great to see how much they cared for their guests. My parents also enjoyed the pancakes and kielbasa sandwich and the food was so plentiful they asked for to-go boxes. While in Belle Vernon for work, I stopped here a couple of three times. (It's an expression) .... and I gotta tell you: this is one of the few locations left in Western PA that still has a salad bar. The staff are pretty friendly and attentive. The food has been good. I tried a few breakfast items and lunch and also the salad bar is always on point. Soups are fresh and hot and even during busy lunch hour they always find this solo fella a table if I ask for one or I just find a spot at the bar... to my surprise the coffee bean is pretty good here. Come here frequently, however this time and the last time we had this server Jasmine. The first time we had her we just figured maybe she was having a rough night because she wasnt kind or personable and just threw stuff down on the table. Well this time she was the same exact way, not friendly, but this time she was WORSE. She gave us each others drinks. She kept giving my food to my husband and vice versa his to me. And again just slamming it down. Like we were incoviencing her by being there. She needs to be addressed immediately. I also want to note it wasnt busy, so she had no need to have an attitude problem. Basic & average. It's usually busy as it was today, but the problem is, it's dirty. Food & debris ground into the carpet near the booths & tables. It could use a good vacuuming. The salad bar, especially for what it costs, leaves much to be desired. A small, standard amount of vegetables. However, it's often empty of items, plates or utensils. Today the manager said they were bringing out more spoons for the soup & chili but it looks like they grabbed the wrong container. They were all dirty. Overall, the salad bar is not worth $12.99. Other food items are just OK. I personally feel you'd do better at a small, family-owned diner. For us, Eat'n Park was a safe bet to eat before heading to the stadium. No wait, the service is good and the food is okay. Reminds me a lot of Denny's. They have a variety of items on the menu and all you can eat bar. My whole party ordered the all you can eat. It was packed with a variety of breakfast items. Alright everyone this is what we have been waiting for. I come here after a tearful and somber night due to the passing of a family member, expecting some great diner food to brighten the mood. We walk in and get sat nearly straight away even with a large group (12 people), but thats where the positives stop. We order food and I order the spicy honey chicken sandwich. Everyone knows it's pretty hard to mess up some damn chicken. Well these guys did. Get my plate and the breast is as thin as can be. There was no honey on the sandwich, some McDonalds looking lettuce, and a sad looking piece of cheese. The "cheese" fries were just topped with a couple slices of Velveeta, Wow. The milkshake as well, 10 dollars. TEN DOLLARS for disgusting whip cream and a sorry excuse for a milkshake. It is incredibly hard to ruin some ice cream liquidy goodness, it had minuscule flavor that I just stopped drinking it. Man please, some seasoning in this food would go a long way. Food is usually okay, service is spotty. It really is hit or miss. When it "hits", it is great. There are some really good servers there. Other times, ....meh. Food wise, we haven't had too many issues when ordering. If you go during brunch buffet times, the up-keep is kinda slow, and hit or miss as well. Otherwise, the normal salad bar is kept pretty well. Pretty decent Eat'n Park location overall. We went on a busy Saturday morning and were seated right away. Service was pretty quick. Our waitress wasn't overly friendly but she was fast with our orders and precise. We did note that they restaurant seemed very clean for how busy they were. I ordered the Meat Lover's Omelette. It consisted of bacon, ham, and sausage, I chose cheddar cheese for it. I ordered the hash browns as my side as well as white toast. It all tasted pretty good. Eat'n Park hash browns are some of the best around. Served as patties, very crisp. The omelette had the perfect amount of each meat and cheese. Very tasty overall. I'm not a coffee drinker, but their coffee is really really good. I always get a cup or two when I'm there. This is a chain restaurant extending through most of Western Pennsylvania. It is very popular, and just about everyone in the area has been to one of their locations plenty of times. They are very famous for their Smiley cookies, and for being a diner-style restaurant. For lunch I had the Reuben sandwich with a cup of chicken noodle soup. The soup was a real delight since they use egg noodles which makes their soup quite tasty. The Reuben wasn't bad. I was impressed with the sweetness of the sauerkraut, but otherwise disappointed with the sauce making it fall short of being a good sandwich. Our waitress was friendly and handled our table really well even though she was a bit slow. We had multiple checks for our table which is why I said she handled it well. But after getting our drinks and taking our order, we didn't see her again until our meal came out which seemed like it took forever. And when my food came out, it was cold. There was a table that had come in after us and they even got their meal 15 minutes before we did. She didn't come back to see if we needed more drinks. The salad bar was OK but could've been better. The lettuce was brown. But the other stuff was OK but not great. The place was busy. I have to say I literally stumbled on this place when I just got off the highway on my way back to New Jersey from the Dakotas to get gas, and so glad I did. Didn't expect much, but my strawberry herb crusted chicken salad was fantastic --and was even served with crispy garlic toast! I had it with their own homemade lime dressing. And my server Maddie was Really amazing, we need more service people like that in the New York City area! She couldn't do enough, kept refilling my ice tea, , napkins and checked in with me promptly-The whole staff was great, from the hostess that sat me and made me feel welcome, to the other waiters that brought things over to me-thanks for making this Traveler feel so welcome!
