Over priced under delivered food very salty and otherwise bland. I could probably put soy sauce in puddle water that would taste better

I wanted to love this place based on all the reviews, but I didn't. I ordered The pad Thai with chicken, a staple and anchor at most Thai restaurants. I found this version sickly sweet with noodles that were not cooked properly. Now I know that many restaurants may slightly sweeten their pad Thai for the the American palate, but this was so sweet that no amount of lime could balance out the flavors and I ate less than half. The salad that came with the meal was sparse and dressed with a sugary and thin vinegar and peanut "dressing" Also, the "Thai donut rolled ice cream"?? Half melted basic VANILLA ice cream rolls with colored sprinkles, condensed milk and three firm, overly cooked melon-ball sized donuts for $9. Not good. Now, two of my friends had a thin vermicelli noodle dish with a better flavor, and one had a "skinny pad Thai" with thin noodles that was spicy and not as sweet. They thought their food was alright. All in all the consensus is that we all won't be back, there are too many great Thai restaurants out there and today, this wasn't one of them. I am usually only moved to post reviews when I eat delicious food, but 6 of us drove 30 minutes based on the reviews to celebrate my birthday and this was a disappointment. We ate lunch there on 4/17/19. read more

Best Damm Thai food I've ever eaten, I'm a regular here because I still haven't gotten to the bottom of the menu every dish I try is AMAZING leaving me wondering what's my favorite and the ice cream dessert is something special (especially good for date night) if you haven't been yet check out! read more

I returned late on a Tuesday night approximately 9 p.m.... this is not the same restaurant that I raved about 2 days earlier .... we re ordered the noodle basil spaghetti dish.... unfortunately it was not as good as before..... particularly because the mussels were cold and once again did not completely open while the spaghetti was warm... the dish tasted okay but did not have the same intensity of flavor as on the previous visit... we ordered green tea ice cream for dessert which was served with plastic spoons.... unacceptable... if I had not had such a good experience on my prior visit I would have rated this restaurant as 3 stars..... I'm not certain that I will return since their inconsistancy has completely blunted my former enthusiasm about this restaurant..... my god.... how can you have such a fine menu and screw it up with plastic spoons for dessert?? read more

YES! authentic Thai food that's not all sugar and no spice! Very rare in this part of the world. My favorite is the somen noodle curry. Be warned when they say Spicey they mean it! We also looooove the gator bites and especially the sauce that comes with. Delicious! read more

Great Thai food!!! Now if only if I could have gotten my girlfriend to come here more often with me!

Our first time here, but definitely not our last. Went on the recommendation of our son and loved everything we had. Shared the lamb satay appetizer and the papaya salad. Then had the steamed fish with the rice paper wrappers. Not only was it fun to eat it was delicious! read more

I'd like to start with a disclaimer, prompted with Bruce's review below, that I am NOT a friend or family of the owners. I could comment more on his review, but everyone's entitled to their opinion and it's rude to disparage other commenters. The space is gorgeous. Community-style long tables, long bench seating along the walls, a bar, and small two-tops. Retro lighting, muted tones, that nice mix of vintage and modern decor. Plus, I spotted an Audrey Kawasaki on the wall, which will always get points from me! The service is quick, very friendly. The lamb satay appetizer came out fast and was delicious. If you're used to chicken and beef satay at other thai restaurants, this is a nice alternative. Paired with peanut-based satay sauce and the curious (but satisfying) choice of white toast points, it was a good start, if a little small for the price point. I went with the southern-style grilled chicken for my entree, and received a pounded-thin breast, grilled to a nice char and smothered in a pungent red sauce, accompanied by a ball of some of the best sticky rice I've ever had. The portion size was perfect for lunch. My friend ordered the chicken biryani and was satisfied as well. We decided to splurge on a dessert, and went with a tempura banana. I've never been a fan of the dish, but now I'll probably get it every time I go. The batter is light, sweet, almost funnel-cake-y, and mixed with coconut shreds. Tasted like something you'd get from a state fair (in the best way). All in all, one of the best lunches I've had here in Delray, and I've been eating my way around voraciously since I started working down here 6 months ago. I'll definitely be back to Eathai. read more

I hate to write bad reviews but I am giving only 1 star because of the decor and the good effort from the owner otherwise I would give "zero stars". My boyfriend and I had dinner there last week, and we tried several dishes, from salad, appetizers and main course suggested by the owner. The presentation was ok but the food was awful. The service was slow and inattentive. To the owners credit, he made a great effort to make all of the customers feel welcome and appreciated, but as the restaurant filled up, this resulted in extremely slow service. There was wine and beer, but no wine or beer list, and the owner/server did not know what he had to serve. A nice space and excellent decor, but sadly this restaurant missed the mark when it came to just about everything else. read more

I first discovered this place back in 2016 and was impressed at the quality and variety of offerings as there aren't many Thai restaurants nearby. I would get their crispy egg noodle pad thai (which was very well made and a great value) and the made to order cold plate rolled ice cream, which I believe at the time was the only place in the Boca-Delray-Boynton area to offer it. I would've easily given this place 5 stars back then. However, I recently went back and was disappointed from what I previously remember. First, when I was reviewing the menu on their website the hours on it said they were open until 11:30 on Friday/Saturday, as I previously remembered. Apparently this isn't the case anymore and they now close at 11. With this in mind, I arrived around 10:30 and was rushed the entire time. Had I known this, I would've came earlier. Also, they increased their prices from the menu they have online. Second, the crispy egg noodle pad thai this time around had too much peanuts and sauce, which completely threw off the dish's flavor balance. Also, it wasn't very spicy for a pad Thai. Third, their ice cream station wasn't even available when I went, with only a sign apologizing for the inconvenience. This was disappointing, however it didn't factor into the review. Finally, when I received my credit card statement I noticed that they had charged more than I had originally stated on the total. I'm very good at recalling the exact price of whatever I buy and keep receipts, so I just resolved the matter with my bank. While the amount in question was less than 50¢, if this was done to every customer it would add up. However, I will give them the benefit of the doubt as I'm sure it was just an honest mistake. Overall my personal experience this time was worthy of 2/5, however in terms of a typical experience I will give a bit of leniency and rate it 3/5. Be aware that they now close at 11 on Friday/Saturday and keep your receipts if you pay with a card to make sure you're charged the correct amount. read more

Just so so. The mushroom salad was good as was the coconut sticky rice. The bone in rib eye was terrible and overpriced. We also had the tofu entree and just weren't impressed. We were looking for a new Thai restaurant and this just wasn't it. read more

Went here with my wife. I had to sit in an uncomfortable chair while she sat in the comfy booth. I saw on the menu that a soda was $3 (I know a lot of high end restaurants charge that but it is highway robbery). If they charge a reasonable price for it I would of bought it so they lost money on that as I drank water. I ordered Pad Thai Chicken with no cilantro and extra peanuts. It came to me with cilantro and no extra peanuts. I was hungry so I started eating figuring the server would come back to see how everything was and I could get the extra peanuts. I finished the whole plate ofr food and not once did anyone come by the table. I needed a refill of water, so I drank some of my wife's. The Pad Thai was very good except about 3 other the chicken pieces were very hard to chew. My wife had the crispy Chicken Pad Thai. It was good but all of her chicken was very dried out. I had to wave down a server to get my bill. Would I go there again, maybe to give them one more chance, but my wife says she doesn't want to go there because the service is terrible and she didn't like the dried out chicken. The place is clean and the staff is friendly if they come to your table. Good luck with that! read more

Best thai food in the area. The Pad Thai is soooo yummy along with everything else on the menu. Their service is top notch and the ice cream is a fun add on in the end! read more

Crab fried rice. If this place were closer to me I would be here everyday. Sometimes they have specialty items like beef jerky. So good I pray that on days I'm able to make it here that those specials are available. The chicken wings are good as well. I'm a fried food lover. Anyway recommend this place a hundred percent read more

I liked this place. Thai food with great presentation. Food is very good, not the usual pad Thai. A few different items to order with a decent happy hour if you want to eat early read more

This is one of my fav restaurants. Each time I go is consistently awesome, and each dish is so much different than the next. Last night we had fried alligator bites that came with an awesome spicy sauce. For my entree I had panang curry with panko crusted salmon. So good. Some other highlights are the papaya salad, pad thai, and fried rice with Chinese sausage. I brought my family and they love it as well. The rolled ice cream is pretty cool, but I usually dont have room left after cleaning my plate haha read more

Eat here while you still can before this becomes the hottest restaurant in Delray! My girlfriend and I went to eat here last night and we were both blown away. The service and staff were exceptional. This is no traditional Thai restaurant. This restaurant takes Thai to a whole different level. We enjoyed fried enoki mushrooms to start and split the crispy duck breast with lychee curry sauce and oxtail fried rice. Everything was absolutely incredible. We then enjoyed one of the I-CE-NY ice creams with a sake pairing. Best ice cream I have ever had in my life! Thankfully Eathai is right around the corner as I'll be coming here on the regular! read more

Horrible food. Tasteless and soggy. Worst Pad Thai I've ever had. Looked like something that came out of the microwave for $50. I feel cheated. read more

Great Thai food, even up to my NYC standards. Things to get: panko crusted salmon with panang curry (great flavor); pad Thai; papaya salad; thai rolled ice cream. Did not love the horse shoe appetizer or the mushroom salad. Service was wonderful. Everyone was so sweet. read more

The service was good- no complaints there. The food was awful! I asked for help ordering and I was told the 'Crispy Duck with Lycee and Curry' was one of their best. I ordered it and I couldn't even eat it because it was so awful. First of all it was swimming in 2 cups of spicy broth and second the duck was as far from crispy as you could get - it was soggy! The duck skin was so rubbery and thick it made me feel sick and I had to spit it out! It was nothing but soup! I was looking forward to a great new Thai restaurant in town and I was very disappointed. I won't be back there. read more

Amazing Thai and very authentic. We had the chicken basil and sticky rice. Then you must finish off with the rolled ice cream! Kids love the gods and great location as well. read more

This place was such a nice surprise! I happened to see it driving down federal & wanted to try it. Started out trying to get into anything on Atlantic & when it was so crowded we decided to get out of the mayhem & pulled into the empty lot. We thought it was a bad omen being only one of 3 tables being occupied but boy were we wrong. We stared w a white wine sangria loaded w fruit & i had a strawberry mimosa that was delicious & generously poured! We shared a lamb satay which was delicious the only problem that it was only 2 skewers! I had the skinny pad thai which was made w glass noodles & unbelievably amazing. My daughter had a chicken curry dish & we both left a little to take home so we had room for homemade ice cream!! Well that in itself is worth going in for! I had vanilla infused w kitkat topped w cheesecake & drizzled w caramel. My girl had chocolate infused w brownie, topped w blueberries & caramel drizzle. Not too sweet & most amazing meal I've had here in boca in a long time. My daughter even knew the owners last restaurant in NYC & he was so happy to have us there. Great experience & great find!! read more

Finally a good Thai restaurant in east bay. The food was excellent and so was the service. We are definitely coming back here.

Came here on a recommendation and was very happy! Did not like the decor inside and the service was a little slow, but the food was FANTASTIC which is the most important. This is more of a casual restaurant that is good for larger parties. read more

Loved it and the kids did too. The kids had the Thai chicken French toast with a side of rice. We had sake and a few beers along with the slow cooked chicken biryani with yellow rice and the stewed beef with ginger garlic yellow curry sauce. There are several other dishes we want to try. We will absolutely be back. Ps. They also have a made to order ice cream for the kids (or adults). read more

Excellent Thai in Boca Raton. Have been here several times and the food is always on point. This is a real authentic Thai restaurant with a cool ambience. The staff and service is wonderful! Highly recommended!! read more

I love thai food and this was an amazing restaurant that broke away from the everyday western styled menu and had actual real thai dishes on it. We started with the fish balls and I was in love. Better than most of the fish balls I had in SE Asia. There were 4 of us and 3 of the dishes were amazing. I had the cashew nut and they kindly substituted the chicken for tofu and it was amazing. My friend got the pomelo and shrimp salad which was spicy and delicious, another friend got the minced chicken with basil and sunny side, or something along those lines, and he literally cleaned the plate. The only subpar dish was the skinny pad Thai but I think that was more our own mistake in that none of us were a big fan of the skinny version of pad Thai noodles. Don't even get me started on the ice cream!!! Oh my god. So good. We got thai tea and green tea. I'll be back even if it's just to grab Icecream and go. So good. Don't miss. Way better than any other thai place in the area. Be warned: no curries on the menu which is fine by me. Branch out, try something new! You won't be disappointed. Everyone at every other table around us was delighted with their meal as well. read more

We were delighted with this Yelp find as we had to go to Delray so we picked this place and were pleasantly surprised with a nice dining experience...simple nice modern and open layout...cool playlist, awesome service and best of all authentic Thai food and of course the Thai rolled ice cream. We ordered the sauteed calamari, Crying tiger, panang crusted salmon curry. My son liked the Thai I-ced Tea, my husband the halo-halo ice cream and I had the taro ice cream which was presented with a candle as they played happy birthday to me. This place was a great find and we will surely be back! Our compliments to Chef So! read more

We had a great first experience at Eathai. We came across this gem after reading many positive Yelp reviews and decided to try it out and it definitely lived up to the hype. The service was great, the food was excellent and best of all, the made from scratch rolled ice cream was fantastic. Definitely recommend this place and will for sure be returning here soon! read more

The waiter had a very bad attitude not a good service at all, the food was ok ...even that I asked the food to be not too spicy ... And they bring it very spacy... it had a good taste read more

After reading all the Yelp reviews had to check this place out. We walked in on a Saturday night, of course they were really busy. we sat ourselves, the place felt understaffed, and this is the only reason I can't give them 5 stars. It felt like there were only 3 waiters for a Saturday night, and as busy as they were. The seating was kind of awkward. But the food was very delicious and interesting. We watched a table next to ours order the Snapper wrapped in banana leaf entree which is exciting to see and is a hands on meal, I will be ordering this next time... All in all I will come back, the ice cream itself is an experience, you should watch them make it in front of you. (It's a company out of NY that bought the concept into this restaurant) if your in the mood for just dessert, you can sit at the bar and order any flavor + toppings you want. read more

Had the pleasure of finding this place on Yelp. We were going to grab a bagel. Didn't know where to go and somehow Eatthai came up. We had the Panang curry and spicy minced chicken (it's their version of Kapow Kai but they don't call it that.). Service was great, food opened up a fresh new version of Thai I have never had. Truly outstanding food. read more

Most interesting Thai I have had in years. Crying tiger had a wonderful sweet flavor. The tom yum chicken and noodle dish was spicy without being over-bearing (a little too spicy for some at our table). My father loved the mussel soup as an entree even if it had a bit of heat to it. Lastly the folded ice cream was a surprise hit for all our ages. Will come back again for sure! read more

There are few times that a restaurant stands out to the extent that it is the absolute high point of your vacation. This is exactly the case with Eathai. After traveling in Thailand 3 years ago I had yet to find an actual AUTHENTIC Thai restaurant in the US. Eathai is that and much more. Definite must haves include the papaya salad and Thai bouillabaisse. Incredibly distinct flavors and perfect spice. And leave room for the smashed ice cream. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. read more

Trying for the first time, we had a nice dinner starting with the fried mushroom chicken app.we like to try new creations and this one was unique.Plenty of chicken but the mushrooms were different to find because they are not the common ones you find in supermarkets. My fuck curry was very good with the duck perfectly done. Not as crispy as I would like ,but enjoyable. My wife's sobo noodles with seafood needed a bit more spice besides garlic. The tableside ice cream was not available tableside so we passed. Very friendly staff. Make reservations at dinner time. read more

This is our first time here, and we are so happy to find this place! The noise is a bit energetic but that's okay.
