The food was good. We had the whole fish which had a lot of flavor and great presentation. I had the seafood soup and I wasn't impressed. It was so spicy it had no flavor and some of the seafood didn't taste right. The world famous wings were worthy of that title! All the drinks and appetizers were excellent. And having the rolled ice cream on site was amazing! I'd definitely come back! read more

I had the mussels and lamb chops. Both were great. Lots of very tasty flavors. Attentive service. Before tip was $25.68. Go before they find out how good they are and raise their prices. Criticisms: *Tasted like they smoked the pan before cooking the egg noodles that accompanied the lamb chops. Little burnt flavor from the noodles but they weren't over cooked. * No seafood fork with the mussels. Easy fix. All in all still a great spot. Go! read more

The best Thai food I've eaten in the area that covers Delray, Boca Raton, boynton beach. Cheryl

Great location near the beach. Not much veggie options as most of their food is made with fish cause pre-made; however they were able to make Tom Ka soup though lacked salt. Their drunken noodles were lacking any flavor. Appears understaffed. would not go again read more

Made a 7pm reservation tonight but on arrival there was space available for walk-ins. However, the place filled up over the next hour or so. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful explaining items on the menu. In fact the menu is not your typical Thai fare. There are many original items to try. However we opted for 2 kinds of curry. We were able to change various ingredients to our liking...very cooperative. Very delicious! The ice cream made on the spot and with many topping options was a treat. We'll be back to try some more daring items on the menu. read more

A little on the sugary side for me, but I enjoyed it. I will definitely have to visit this place again next time i am in Florida. read more

This place is a gem! Top quality, inventive Thai food at reasonable prices. It's on the casual side but still has a good atmosphere. We started with spicy alligator bites- perfection! I had the calamari with salty egg, which was very good. She had the basic chicken pad Thai, which was also excellent. Rolled up ice cream is a fun way to end the meal. Portion sizes also good. The worst experience in my life. Never been embraced like the night I was here. I was with my wife and my business partner. After I paid for our table, the waiter came to me and asked me for more tip! He said the lowest tip amount must be 15% and I paid almost 13%. it was only a dollar difference. I was shocked, everybody was shocked...damn. the service was not that good, I ordered seafood and they brought me chicken, and I didn't complain. They grabbed the menu multiple times from my friend because it took him a while to decide what to order. To avoid more embracements, I gave the waiter more...1$ more to to stop this bullsh*t. It's not like I didn't pay anything, but I'm the customer and I rate the service! My behavior will be very different if my business partner wasn't with me.. This attitude towards customers might stop this business if it was in other cities..be careful. read more

Never in my life leaving a restaurant feeling more uncomfortable. The owner told us the most inappropriate, unprofessional, nasty sexual-related jokes. I get it that he tries to be friendly and cool to draw more customers to his restaurant but this is not the way to go and it was unacceptional. I was beyond excited coming here but I left with big dissappointment and surely won't be back. The server, a lady, was very nice went over the whole menu with us on their popular dishes. Modern, cozy decorations. The icecream was great! And that was it! To be honest, their food wasn't even that great. If you're looking for good, authentic thai food, this is not the place to go. Go to Chow Thai in west boca, Nori by mizner park, or New Thai in wellington instead! read more

I was so excited to try this place after reading some positive reviews from a close friend and fellow Thai food enthusiast. Also, Eathai is a fairly new restaurant in Delray so I'm excited to spread the good news: guys, this place is the shit. Surrounded by an area full of mediocre chains, Eathai is refreshingly original yet authentic. From the moment you walk in, Eathai's vibrant atmosphere and chic decor emulates a warm, friendly vibe. Unlike other authentic thai restaurants I've been to that rely on food alone to keep you coming back, this is a place I want to dine in and maybe even stay for awhile after the meal comes. In fact, that's exactly what my party did last night when we went to celebrate my birthday. So for those who don't know, the thai rolled ice cream (sure, we'll call it that) is the hook and bait the gets people in the door. It's not so much of a gimmick as it is a unique product/ service that no other restaurant is providing right now. You may have seen the trending Facebook videos ("this is how they make ice cream in Thailand!") of street vendors forming and shaping ice cream on a frozen metal pallet, then rolling up the mixture into deliciously fresh ice cream roll ups? Then finishing off the cup with different syrups and fun toppings? Yeah. That's exactly what they do here and it's incredible. However, the dessert is just the tip of the iceberg. My friends and I were seated right away; the place was pretty empty on a Monday night which, after experiencing the insane Boca brunch rush the day before, I was happy about. We sat at a long picnic-table complete with benches and cute red cushions for comfort. For cocktails, I got the white lychee sangria which was really yummy. They put real lychee, fresh apples and oranges in it. They even brought me an extra drink on the house after my friend told the staff it was my birthday. So sweet! My whole party (about 8 of us) took an extra long time deciding what to get. The menu has some commercial thai dishes such as pad thai and Panang curry, but a lot of it is atypical and anything but basic. So, it takes awhile to read through the dishes and descriptions. Our waiter was helpful and patient as we deliberated. I decided on the spicy oxtail soup which was delicious and interesting (there was cinnamon and all spice in the soup) but very spicy. I think maybe they should start using a way to represent the level of spiciness on their menu because there are many Americans with cowardly tastebuds that would not have been able to endure that soup. I give it four stars and . I tried a few other dishes including the oxtail fried rice, crab Tom yum fried rice, cashew chicken, skinny pad thai, and Papaya salad. All were exceptional and tasty. Oh, and the sriracha fried rice (just a side dish) was the bomb. I need more of this in my life. I would like to be more adventurous next time and try something I'm really afraid of. This place is good for that kind of thing. You can tell the owner really tried to infuse traditional thai dishes with his own signature flavors and preferences. One dish includes French toast and chicken, and was designed after something the owner's mom used to make him. I love this kind of authenticity and uniqueness. Last but not least I'd like to comment on the staff for being extra kind to me on my birthday. They played a birthday song and sang to me after making me coconut raspberry ice cream with a candle on top. It was so good, I ate it all with no regrets. Can't get enough of this place. See you soon, Eathai! read more

Eathai - Skinny Spicy pad Thai with chicken and shrimp! I enjoy this dish.second time getting it. Can't forget theThai iced tea! It goes together. - Thai Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

Came in for Dinner from out of town with company. Didn't like the seating. Some of the seating puts you side by side with other customers. Food presentation was great taste was average. Out of the beef curry, skinny pad Thai, and chicken pad Thai the chicken pad Thai was the best one. Thai iced tea was extremely sweet ( I know this is already a very sweet drink). Som Tum combo was no good. Wings were dry, the pad Thai was decent but the lettuce wrap was awful. How are you supposed to wrap with the bulb of the lettuce? And it didn't taste like anything just spicy peanuts. Waiter "accidentally" added a 25.00 plate to our bill. Staff was however attentive and polite. read more

Delicious, creative, flavorful food! Everything we've ordered here that is a standard at Thai restaurants (like massaman curry or pad thai) somehow delivers a new vibrance to the dish while staying true to the the traditional flavors. The restaurant itself was beautifully designed. And for dessert watch them make the rolled ice cream in front of your face! read more

First time diner, long time thai eater. One of my favorite thai restaurants is Siam Thai Rice in East Hollywood. If you want to experience reasonably priced and deliciously inspired Thai dishes, I implore you to give them a try. Now, on to my review of Eatthai... Ordered two take out dishes, their oxtail stew and the chicken massaman curry. Calling in was a bit odd, they didn't ask spice preference or even the name for the orderer! Nice decor, very trendy and reminiscent of some Brooklyn wonton shops. Food was ready when we arrived some twenty minutes after ordering. The oxtail was a huge disappointment. Dish was ordered at medium spice and tasted more vinegary than anything else. For an $18 dish the actual oxtail meat was dried out (a common theme among the less than favourable yelp reviews here) and bland. Prevalent vegetables in the vinegar broth were cherry tomatoes, too much sliced celery and one terribly undercooked half of red potato. I slow cook oxtail at least a few times of year, and I'm amazed by just how wrong these guys got this recipe. Weak lemongrass, too much vinegar, a distracting amount of red chili seeds and enough celery to make you wonder how distracted the cook was who prepared this dish. Drying out oxtail is pretty hard to do, so I supposed it was either an old batch of meat or they oven cook it to hell before stewing. Either way, not worth the money and a big disappointment. The rice came in a strange "dime baggie", which we initially thought meant it was Uncle Ben's instant rice, and clumped together like a sticky bun. Unfortunately, the rice was the best part of this overcooked and poorly seasoned oxtail. In contrast the massaman curry was found to be very flavorful, but the chicken was dry and should have never been served as one giant breast buried in sauce. Also, the dish is advertised with "pan-seared" pineapple and came with one pathetic slice which probably came from a can. Finally the coconut rice ordered with the curry came with a $3 up charge and was not worth it. Don't think we'll be back unless they explore improving their dishes. Surprised by the number of positive reviews for this place. We wanted to love it too, but I guess we're stuck commuting to Hollywood or eating at Rice in Boynton. read more

Big fan of the crab fried rice and the ice cream here. The fried rice was one of those dishes that continued to get better the more I ate it. I like when that happens. It was definitely something I would order again. My one gripe is that I ordered it extra spicy and it was only a little spicy. I know a lot of Thai places are a hesitant to give gringos like me something too spicy, but I want my nose running and eyes watering when I eat spicy Thai fried rice and I didn't get that level of heat here. Maybe next time. The lamb skewers were nicely prepared. The chicken toast was a popular item among the munchkins. And the ice cream was very creamy and delicious. The service was very friendly. Prices are a little on the high side of average, but worth it for the quality. It's a little bit of a jaunt for me, but I definitely would like to come back. read more

I hate writing bad reviews, but I have to set the record straight for my fellow Yelpers. We wanted so badly to like this place. The reviews were so high, and we really need a good Thai restaurant around here, even if it's a modern spin on Thai food. Unfortunately, it was the food that was awful. The space is great. There are tables with chairs set up along two sides of the space, the middle had wood tables with picnic table style benches. We (and everyone in there) sat in the normal tables. Not a problem for us, but luckily the place was not crowded. The staff was friendly and were helpful and accommodating. The food was the problem. The menu was interesting and is what convinced us to try this place, even though there was only 1 curry dish on the menu (see below.) We ordered a horseshoe appetizer at the suggestion of our waiter. He said they are the only place in South Florida that makes it. It was at the top of the appetizer section, and we ordered one. It came with six pieces. They were good, but this appetizer was really more of a dessert. It reminded me of a macaroon, including some sweet fruit and shredded coconut, sitting on an orange slice. But it was way too sweet to offer as an appetizer. We ended up saving them for dessert. We got two entrees: Chicken slow cooked in Masaman sauce and grilled chicken. Both came with rice. I didn't mind the smallish portions at all, but I did mind that the Masaman was so sweet, it was inedible. We are seasoned Thai eaters...some places add a little extra sugar to their curries to put their little spin on it....this was so sweet that we had to wipe most of the sauce off it. The grilled chicken was a single piece of chicken breast smothered with brown peanut (?) sauce on top, and it was also very sweet, but not as bad as the Masaman. We loved the consistency of the chicken. Besides the bowl of rice, it came with a teaspoon of marinated chopped cucumbers. When I saw that the plates were barren, I asked for a side of vegetables, and she looked puzzled. She said she could bring some steamed Brussels sprouts, and we accepted. Well they brought them a few minutes later, and they weren't kidding. They were steamed allright, with nothing on them at all. Dry. No salt, pepper, oil, butter...anything! We asked our waiter for some olive or coconut oil, butter, salt or pepper...ANYTHING...and he said they didn't have any of those (yikes!) He went back and found some green (also sweet) sauce and we left it at that. ($6 extra for the Brussels' when the bill came.) read more

The food was fantastic in the beginning. Then I ordered a traditional Thai dessert - mango sticky rice. The waitress brought a bizarre ice cream concoction which did not have mango or sticky rice. When I pointed out that it is a wrong dish, the waitress said that mango sticky rice is served only in the summer and walked away... No offer of a different dessert or to take the price off the bill... False advertising and not even apologetic when caught in a lie. read more
