I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I ordered a custom SpongeBob-inspired cake and provided a reference photo when placing the order. I specifically requested that the cake say "26 Years Later." The bakery assured me they could complete the cake by the date I needed it. Unfortunately, the cake I received looked significantly different from the inspiration photo I provided. The lettering was not what I requested, the colors were different, and the overall decorating quality did not meet my expectations for a custom cake. The frosting was uneven and had visible marks throughout the cake. To the bakery's credit, they did honor the original $60 price I was quoted after there was some confusion at pickup. However, I was disappointed with the final product and felt it did not reflect the design I ordered. I've included photos of both the inspiration cake and the cake I received so others can make their own comparison. This cake shop in Keene is super cute & inviting. The gift items like the mini gingerbread house ornaments & the birthday dog bandannas are special looking. We chose big white peppermint & pumpkin spice cupcakes ($5 ea) which were packaged in separate cute windowed cupcake holder boxes for us. Both cupcakes were dense & moist, with a generous topping of frosting that was both soft & sturdy enough to hold a gorgeous swirl. The white peppermint was subtly minty & not overpowering, & the cream cheese frosting made each pumpkin spice bite perfect. We ate them slowly & left the boxes out at room temperature, & they even stayed fresh for 3 days. These cupcakes would make beautiful gifts, & yummy indulgences for anyone. Include a package of their candles & a hot chocolate bomb or cake pop, and you'll have a very cute gift for any celebration! read more

I ordered a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting for my daughter's Keene State Graduation. It's a 6" double barrel cake to serve 20 people. Everyone enjoyed the cake itself. It was light and fluffy, and the frosting wasn't too heavy. I'm on the fence if I'd order again. I asked if the cake needed to be refrigeratored and didn't get an answer. I didn't want to pick it up early because I figured it may need to go in the fridge, and we didn't have space, so I asked if we could pick it up the day of graduation. Although it had 3 dowels inside it, the cake was very unstable and almost didn't make it home. As it got warmer, the frosting softened, and the cake continued to tip, so we cut the box off around it enough to see it. The writing was supposed to say Congratulations to Amanda for my daughter, but it didn't, and the yellow (vs red) doesn't stand out. We ended up cutting the layers apart to try and save it and served it up that way. It was very beautiful, but it was just way too tall and unstable. It would have been nice to actually present it in the table, but we made the best of it. It took 20 mins to pick up the cake because they couldn't find a box to put it in. I'm not really sure what happened, but after all of the recommendations, I am really surprised with how it all unfolded. read more

My friend and I have had the pleasure of going to two cookie decorating classes that Amy puts on, and she has such great attention to detail when putting these together. She bakes the cookies, prints out the design on them, makes the icing for them, provides the tools and support to decorate the cookie as a beginner. My wife decided to give me a Christmas present by ordering a German Black Forest cake, which you cannot really find here in NH. She went here and asked the owner if she could make one. She said yes she could. She picked up the cake today and it was totally NOT an German Black forest cake. It was said that it was her 'take' on German Black Forest cake. Yeah. NOT. It was a regular butter cream cake that was totally NOT a Black Forest Cake. If you can't make it, just say so. Don't make a totally Un-Black Forest Cake and charge high prices for something that isn't what the customer wants. Had a piece tonight hoping it would at least have some BF taste. Totally awful. We are throwing the rest away. Waste of money. It's a beautiful cake and would make someone happy if all they wanted was a cake. But if you've actually eaten Black Forest Cake then you know it is made with real whipped cream and not butter cream. Quick run down: Myself and Our company are in the Bay Area California; Thursday late afternoon I was requested by a VP of the company I admin for to arrange for one of our clients to receive a cake for her birthday the following day Friday.
