Service Plumbers, Anthony, Bruce, and Matt, who answered my phone calls, and a female who promised to deal with this. I am writing concerning the many calls and visits to my home for plumbing services. Anthony came out on January 20, 2020.He looked at the work and gave us an estimate of $150.00. At that time, I asked him if there was such a thing as a tall toilet for the disabled. He said no, but there was a toilet that was 1 to 2 inches taller than the ones I had. I'm disabled, in a wheelchair. I wanted a taller toilet, but was willing to accept anything that was a little higher than the one we had. The upstairs and downstairs toilets were almost new, we bought them at Home Depot. They are extra-large and sturdy, Kohler toilets. Anthony said the one he was going to bring was ADA approved; January 24, 2020. He brought a new toilet. The toilet was sturdy and of the same quality as ours. Anthony installed the new one. He asked if it was ok? I said yes. My judgement was faulty, I didn't want to sit on the toilet in front of him. A few days passed and we realized the toilet wasn't taller. We measured it and compared it to the old one, it was as tall as the one we had. What a disappointment. Anthony promised us a higher toilet. He said they didn't make ADA high toilets, after he said he was going to install an ADA toilet, a few days earlier. Anthony didn't give us an estimate for the second job (the new toilet). I just figured he would give us a fair price. Imagine my surprise when the bill came to $982.00. We paid the bill, reluctantly. I called Easy Rooter Plumbing so many times to complain. I wanted this issue resolved. Easy Rooter came and took out the new toilet and put in another toilet. This new toilet was ¼ inch taller than our original Kohler toilet. Then when the plumber left, we used the toilet and realized how cheap it was. The seat and handle are plastic, and the actual toilet is very small. I looked up the manufacturer, and the model of the new toilet and it costs less than 140.00. Not only did they replace the nicer toilet they first installed with a cheap version, but they also kept the nicer toilet that I bought in the 982.00 bill. A few days ago, I went online and looked up toilets. The tall toilets do exist. Anthony lied to us. I want the cheap toilet removed. I want an ADA approved tall toilet installed. I also think Easy Rooter Plumbing should return part of my payment due to an inaccurate estimate, lying, installing a cheap toilet, taking my toilet out and installing a new one that was the same height, and not returning my phone calls in a timely manner. I have been working on this problem since January. My daughter and I both spoke to Matt (I don't know if he's the boss, or owner) separately to try to resolve this issue. Matt was very dismissive and aggressive on the phone. We are in the process of going to small claims court, which isn't easy since I am in a wheelchair and disabled, but what his company did wasn't right and I'm going to fight this wrongdoing. read more

Called early Thursday afternoon, told them my drains were running slow and backing up in the shower, could not use the toilet. They said they couldn't get to us until Friday between 8 &10, waited till 11:30 called to see where they were, they said they were busy and would be there soon. About 12:15 they showed up worked for maybe 20 minutes came in and ran water in the bathrooms said everything looked good, charged $180.00. About 1 hour later my wife ran a load of dishes through the dishwasher, water backed up in the kitchen sink (never a problem before). Called them again they said it couldn't have been anything they had done and he would get somebody out there. They showed up and said yes that sometimes this happens, had to clean our kitchen drain (why wasn't this checked the first time) said they couldn't use the snake with our fittings had to replace them. Charging me another $95.00. Will never use them again and would not refer them to anyone other then the better business bureau. They are a ripoff. read more

We have used this company for years. They are prompt and professional and very efficient. Recently we required a major repair on our 115 year old home that was an almost impossible job. With unknown locations of pipes and a yard built on rocks, it was more that a massive undertaking. Not to mention a minimum crawl space to work in. James and Mikey showed up before their scheduled time, and got right to work. Not only did they have to use the jackhammer to get down to the lines, they had to fight the rocks all the way and stop and manually dig out the dirt and rocks before they could continue. Then it was a jig saw puzzle under the house and more digging to find the lines. But they did! Now we have a whole new cold water line in the house, all the hose bibs work and we now have a shut off valve next to the house where we can turn off the water without going down to the street or waiting for someone to come and turn it off for us. The huge hole in the yard was covered once more and I have new rocks for the yard decor too. We were totally amazed that it looks better than it did before they started and much neater. I even got the rose bush trimmed up while they were at it. The work was professional and so were the guys. Friendly and respectful and kept us advised what they were doing through the whole project, not to mention it only took a day and a half. Incredibly awesome. They will remain our only plumbers. I just bought a house and was looking to have a gas line put in to replace my electric oven with a gas range. I called practically every plumber in town, and even did all the research I needed to do it myself (i.e. permitting, materials, etc.). I decided not to do it myself just because I realized I'd have to drill through the 10-12" foundation and that would have been a pain. Every quote I got was for $700-$750 all included, so I was feeling discouraged because that was way more than I expected. Many of the plumbers I talked to said, "Oh yeah I can do it for $600 no problem". At first I was excited at the lower price, but then once I started prying into it they'd admit, "Well yeah plus $100 for materials and $150 for permits". So be sure to ask for the full cost of the service. Finally I decided to just go with Easy Rooter. They quoted $750, but during the estimates were by far the most responsive, courteous, and upfront. No hidden costs, just $750 assuming nothing went terribly wrong (obviously if the house's plumbing was about to fall apart anyway we'd have to have a talk). So the plumber (Jeremy, great guy) showed up on time to do the installation. Once he really got to starting he realized it would be harder than he expected (he also found that he'd have to drill through the foundation to go with his original plan). So he came up with a new plan to use the existing piping and rethread it, and came to tell me his plan. Worried about what it was going to cost me for him to do it the hard way I asked what the price delta would be, and he said it'd be $100 *cheaper* since he would actually be using less materials this way. Yeah, that's right, it turned out to not be as easy as he expected so he gave me a discount. In all it took about 4 hours from when he first showed up until I was making lunch on my new gas range. Take it from someone who called every plumber in town and went so far as to get the permit from the city of Sparks to do it myself: Easy Rooter was the way to go. read more

Beware: I was almost charged $830 for a $145 job by this outfit. The tech came to my house, and after spending 10 minutes in my bathroom with no apparent tools or equipment running, I was told that there was an obstruction in my bathtub drain that would require removing a section of wall from my kitchen to replace the drain and a section of pipe from the back side. The tech gave me an on-the-spot estimate (not knowing time or materials) of over $730. He then invoiced me for the 10 minutes spent "assessing" the issue, to the tune of $95, and said that he couldn't do the work for a week. The tech left, and I subsequently called the office to cancel the job, sensing very confidently that something unscrupulous was afoot. In follow up, I called several other plumbers in town to discover that none of them operated in a manner that would allow an estimate of time and materials "before" performing the job! I finally landed on a credible company, locally (yes, I will plug them because they are honest and professional), Reno Plumbing Doctor, and the owner and his apprentice came, assessed the situation, and stated what they could do on the spot (snake the line -- NOT cut pipe). The owner gave a flat rate of $145 up front for the work they knew they could perform, and they completed the job. The drain worked perfectly afterward -- no invasive, ridiculous, fabricated activities required! Steer clear of this company. read more

Just moved here from Cali and needed a price for a water line to the refrigerator. Found these folks on Home Advisor and made an appointment for an estimate at one o'clock. The plumber showed up at 3:45 and I was talking to my painting contractor. He grunted something and I asked him to repeat himself. He said how do you want me to do this? I said I didn't know, that's why I called a plumber! I asked my husband to speak with him after he was done talking to the painter. The plumber chose to wave his hands and say, I'm outta here! He just walked out! So, I work for an HVAC company in Cali.....if one of my techs did that, they would be history. What a jerk. read more

Ok, clearly today is a update my Yelp Reviews Day. A couple of months ago, my kitchen sink started jack hammering. I called my landlady and she asked me to call the plumber directly so I could set up the appointment. I called the number my landlady gave me and their dispatch and set up an appointment has late as they would let me on weeknight for 2 days after my call. The day of my appointment, I left work early to rush home in order to be there in time for the plumber to arrive. I made it home with a couple of minutes to spare... After waiting for 30 minutes, I started to worry and called Easy Rooter Plumbing Dispatch. The dispatch operator said that I didn't have a scheduled appointment that night, but it was the night before. Feeling very annoyed at this point, I informed the dispatcher that my appointment was for that day, that I had specifically asked for that day and had scheduled to leave work early just for this appointment. The dispatcher rather rudely started to tell me that "my appointment was the day before and no one was home yesterday and that they called me when no one was home yesterday". My rage started to surface at this point and I called her out on it - told her again that my appointment was not the previous day and moreover if what she said was true, why didn't I receive a call yesterday? The dispatcher started to yell at me "are you calling my tech a liar?" In which I answered, "yes! yes! that is exactly what I am doing! My appointment was for tonight and if what you are saying is true how come no one called me yesterday?! The only phone number you have for me is my cell and NO ONE CALLED yesterday and with a cell phone, it is so easy to prove that your tech is lying!" The dispatcher wanted to reschedule the appointment for the following night, but I refused (because it would mean another day of leaving work early). After refusing to budge and a supervisor intervention a tech was schedule to come that night in 2 hours. If this was the end of it, I would of only given them 1 star, but when the tech did arrive (Mitch), his professionalism and expertise soothed my wrathful spite toward Easy Rooter Plumbing. Mitch's service was spot on, he asked permission to do the smallest things (nice touch because it does involve my personal belongings), he was nice to my cat, he sat on my kitchen floor and rebuild by scratch the gasket for my sink (since the sink model was too old and he had no replacement part). Mitch's service was 100% a 5 Star Customer Service; however, to be fair the company is more than their techs and includes the rude/hostile dispatch woman (and if she was being truthful the lying tech, but I honestly think that they overbooked that night and was trying to push me off to another night) - so I am averaging out the two services for a 3 star rating. It does seem a shame to have to do this because the actual plumber was superb. Easy Rooter Plumber needs to work on their scheduling and their dispatcher's professionalism. read more

Our sump pump alarm started going off around 11am on a Saturday (go figure). I've been fortunate enough to never need a plumber before, so I wasn't sure who to call! Then I remembered that I had a magnet with a bunch of emergency numbers on my fridge that came in the mail with a plumber advertisement. So, I decided to give them a try. I called the office and spoke with a very nice lady, Marge maybe? She assured me that service on a Saturday wasn't going to be any more money (yay) and she would send someone to my house the same day. Within about an hour, our plumber (Jeremy) showed up. He was kind and knowledgable. Within about an hour of arriving, he had our sump pump fixed and told us what the problem was. Apparently, our two year old had flushed some wipes down the toilet (whoops). The price was very reasonable, I actually was expecting to pay more! Anyways, Easy Rooter is now our number one choice for plumbers! read more

I can not express how frustrated and furious I am with this company!! All they want is more freaking money!! I had a main water leak and had one of there techs come out and quoted me 1200.I asked how much would it be if I dug the whole myself. I was quoted around 500. Fast forward to day of service the guy came out around 0830ish and was done WITH him snaking out my sewer line. All that was done within an hour. Needless to say my sewer line is worse than what it was before they "cleared the line". The tech didn't bother to ensure my sewer line was indeed good to go by having me run water or flush toilets to check his work. He just gathered his equipment and provided me with my invoice of 600 including the sewer drain.Mind you their invoice does not list a break down of HOW they came up with the price. I can not say enough how F'KING pissed I am with their service!!! The next day I showered while my roomate was washing dishes and surprise water is backing up both showers!! I called the company today and spoke with Bruce and was told that they would need to snake it again and do a camera view of my lines. 195 for the camera and they will charge another 100 for another freaking snaking!!! WTF!!! I was pretty much told since the tech wrote on my invoice "no warranty" for snaking due to roots I am shit outta luck!! I am looking to spend another 300 if I chose to go through this again!!! I discovered that the sump pump at my home (which has a high water table), quit working, without my knowledge. Resulting in a crawl space full of water. I called a number of 24-hour plumbers as I didn't know if I had an emergency on my hands or if it could wait until morning to get someone out to take a look. Easy Rooter was the one that picked up my call and tried to help immediately. Others took either an hour to get back to me or didn't call me back at all. Easy Rooter determined it could wait until morning and they were able to make an appointment to have someone show up first thing in the morning. Come morning, Mike arrived. I explained the situation and he was very attentive to what was happening. That said, he also took the time to educate me on my water meter, on how to tell if I had a leak or not based on the meter as a way to help diagnose whether it was a high water table problem or not. Fortunately, no leaks. Mike was very polite, patient, answered all of my many questions, and was able to drain the water from under the crawl space. After having to dig it out on top of a poorly installed frame above the sump pump compounding the complexity of this work, he evaluated that the current sump pump had quit working and that it wasn't just clogged. During this time he consulted with me on parts, the steps he was taking, and labor cost. I'm very satisfied with his work and the customer service Easy Rooter provides all around. I called to have my line snaked and they came out right away but didnt bother verifying that the drains were working. I ended up calling a second time to have them come back to do it again. They still didnt fix it and had to come back a third time. After all was said and done they tried charging me twice but the guy wrote down my card number wrong so it didnt go through. Because they messed up the card number I got a nasty letter in the mail threatening to put a lein on my house if they didnt get payment immediately. Incompetent people. Seriously unprofessional, bordering on extortion. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

My wife and I had a mainline back up that caused both our kitchen sink and washing machine drain to clog and back up. Called Marge on a Friday evening for a Saturday service call. Set our appointment for noon and when Raul showed up he had the job done and cleared in 30 minutes. Marge was awesome. Raul was awesome. I searched on line for a plumbing service to fix our faulty faucet and I chose Easy Rooter. They sent us Anthony who tried to first save the faucet but it was truly not able to be saved. He kindly installed one we had as a backup plan at a very reasonable price. Four days later, the water wasn't flowing properly. We called to have Anthony take another look and he discovered the faucet was plugged. He very kindly bought, replaced the faucet and returned the other faucet without charge. I was so impressed by Anthony's professionalism, hard work, and kind presence in our home. I know he will be our only plumber. read more

My main line and my toilet broke at the same time on a Sunday afternoon, and flooded multiple rooms in my house. My toilet, washing machine and bath all overflowed. I called Marge, who was VERY polite and helpful, and Raul came within an hour to take a look. After seeing it would be a more complex job than usual, he recommended I wait until Monday to get it fixed, as it would be so much cheaper. He didn't even charge me a callout fee! I called on tuesday and explained that I had a sewage ejection pump station that needed to be cleaned and vacuumed. I also told the person that it was a 50 gal. pump station and not a full septic tank. She said she would send a truck on Wednesday. I waited all damn day and a guy shows up at 4:45pm and says, "oh this is a 50 gal station, I only pump septic tanks. Call back and have them send a smaller truck." Well guess what??!! I don't know who is putting the negative reviews for this company but all I can say to the guys is thank you. My sink and washer drain plugged up and I tried everything in my limited skill set to clear the issue. I even waisted about $50 on super industrial pipe cleaners that did nothing. I called them on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning the technician showed up as scheduled and took care of the problem in no time. Even w Sunday premium it was still under $200. Now my lines are clean and I can finally get some cleaning done. Thank you a hundred times over. Plus they even have a real person answer the phone. One problem after another. Didn't show for our Friday 3-5 appointment, rescheduled us for Saturday morning, but the auger broke mid-job and instead of coming back immediately with a working one, the technician went to his next job and left us worse off for 3 more hours. When finally the sink was cleared, they tried to charge overtime rates for working on a Saturday! Think again! This company has serviced my septic tank three times in the last decade and so far has saved me plenty because the last company told me I needed a new drain field at a cost of about 10 grand. I stopped using them. That was over 10 years ago. I still haven't replaced the "drain field". Easy Rooter has jetted the outlet line with great results and I have no issues. The only thing I would quibble about is that I was told on the phone that it would be $195.00 an hour only to find out from the the jet truck driver that yes, it was $195.00 an hour, but with a two hour minimum. I would have liked to have known that before scheduling the appointment. He spent about 50 minutes jetting my line. Other than that I highly recommend this company over the others in my area. read more

I had a water main leak in my basement wall and needed it repaired ASAP. I called Easy Rooter Plumbing and they upgraded me to emergency status . Even though my yard had to be dug up, Matt and his crew came out and took care of my leak quickly and professionally. Considering the work that had to be done, the charges were reasonable. Took the moving bolts off of the dryer, the moving company should have done that. He even went and got an additional plug that was needed. So they are terrible, they came on January 20, 2019 to snake my sewer pipes, and then it backed up again on February 26, 2019. When I called back today to have them come back out and fix it, they are going to charge me again, and they mentioned that the way they did it in January was an improper way to do it. I am dismayed at the treatment Easy Rooter has shown me. I had a leak which I was quoted $165 for finding it and $1000 for fixing it. I received the bill and it was inflated to $1985.00. I about fell over. I called and called and called and they very rarely return calls. I complained to probably everyone that works in the office plus the owners. Angie was supposed to call me back with a discount but never did. I wrote a letter that was not answered. I did not receive a copy of the invoice at the time and the serviceman added $820 to the bill after I had signed the invoice. He said it was extra because when he started digging it was under a thin layer of blacktop. He did not tell me it would be extra. If he had given me that quote I would never had told him to finish the job. I will never deal with this company again and after talking to friends they told me they had bad experiences too. It took serviceman one day to do the job which worked out to be $249 per hour. Who gets paid this much? DISGUSTING!!!! read more

Plumbing discomfort but not an emergency. However I had a mainline clog that was backing up a toilet and tub. Mike came out in less than two hours on a Saturday and fixed it within 30 minutes. He even took the extra step of cleaning one of the laterals just in case. $90 all in. I'd definitely call them again. BTW I've got two high-energy boys that have a million questions, which Mike handled like he was a museum docent explaining the Mona Lisa. read more

Only plumbers in town with the technology to add pipe liner to shore up existing pipe and avoid extensive and pricey tear up that entails jack-hammering, permits, utility marking and potential weeks of delay. read more

I had a water leak on my main line out by the street. I called at least 10 different plumbers. I all of them wanted me to fully expose the broken line. I dug out what I could, to ensure I was close to the leak, but I couldn't find it exactly when the water company shut the water meter off. I was without water for 24 hours before finding Easy Rooter Plumbing. They were the first company that didn't care about the type or location of the leak. All they said was "It's unacceptable for you to be without water for that long. We'll have someone out there immediately." What a huge relief! They had everything fixed in a couple hours, and since I had done most of the digging and volunteered to backfill the hole, they didn't charge for dirt work. The final bill was $675, which considering emergency service calls are $400/hr, was more than reasonable. They were there when I needed them! Great work and a fair price. read more

Mike R. just came out and cleared our main line sewer blockage in about 20 minutes. $120 and we now have functioning showers, toilets, sinks, etc. He showed up about a half hour after I called, after hours on a Friday night. Took a while (4 hours) to get to me with a few phone calls, think this was just organization. The plumbers that came out were great - explained everything clearly and got right to work. Had my sewer line cleared in about 30 minutes. As my clean-out was on the roof it cost more - still much less than others in town. read more

A tech named Ryan came out after hours due to our septic tank drying out and causing an awful sewage smell in the basement. Earlier in the day Easy Rooter suggested to run some water. By the time he had gotten there the smell was gone. Ryan however was super professional and courteous to me, my wife, kids, and dogs. Went over everything we could do to avoid this problem in the future. Answered all our questions with a smile. I highly recommend Easy Rooter to anyone for any plumbing needs.
