Oleg and his partner were not only lighting fast while unpacking my fully stuffed POD, but they were also so careful and quiet that my 7 month old daughter didn't even stir from her nap. I am truly blown away by the speed, quality, and courtesy that these movers exhibited (on a Sunday morning no less) and honestly struggle to believe the negative reviews that have been left previously. Obviously, crews and customer experiences may vary but even so, I would happily contract 485 Movers again for my next moves considering the previous experiences I have had with other companies and the outstanding work of Oleg's crew that I had the pleasure of working with. I was told that we could expect our movers between 8 and 8:30 am. Oleg's crew arrived at 8:01 am and worked non-stop until the16 foot POD was empty. This only took 2 hours. I still can't figure out how they managed to accomplish this feat in 2 hours as this has averaged 6 hours in the past. Not a single mark on the walls. Not a single ding in my furniture. The crew also ensured that absolutely everything was located precisely where I wanted it and confirmed everything was properly placed before receiving payment. Really top notch service at a bargain price. As to the reviews which cite potential language barriers as an obstacle in a borderline racist tone: I speak English only. The mover's primary language was clearly not English but this did not present a single barrier or hinder their work in the least. Oleg just asked what/where each room was, then simply brought the labeled furniture/boxes to their respective rooms. I do not see how not speaking fluent and beautiful English would have improved this experience in any way at all. In fact, the worst movers I've had the displeasure of contracting with in the past (Boston Best Rate) spoke lovely English while also stealing about $1000 in personal property. TL;DR: Great and fast crew. 10/10 would hire again without question. Fluent English not required to move things carefully and quickly.

Ultimate they were unable to move it but I appreciate them explaining to me why they couldnt. I had a lot of stuff ( an understatement really) but they were able to move everything within a four hour window no issue. I found this company, First Class Movers, and talked to the owner Anthony. Told him my situation and he charged us flat fee of only $225 to get the 2 furniture pieces from my house in Fort Mill, SC to my niece's condo in Charlotte NC. Anthony showed up fast and was friendly, professional, and courteous. My niece and I are so happy and give this company 10 stars out of 5 stars. Worst experience we have ever had, they held our items in Los Angles for 3 weeks before loading…read moreonto a truck. We only had the few items we drove across the Country with and had to get back to work. We had to make desks out of cardboard boxes since we had no furniture. I reached out daily and they would not respond. When they did finally arrive 4 weeks after packing up our home in California, the main guy rushed us and boxes were falling out of the truck, it was packed so tight. We are missing valuable items, broken items, I received other people's items. Stole cash out of my purse while I was on a business call. Quadrupled our quote and they will not refund a penny. Only wanted cash after the first deposit, I found out other moving companies do not require cash. They would not unload until I handed them the cash and then put 90% of the items in the basement even though they were all marked with specific rooms. I had to hall all the boxes up the stairs and put them in the correct rooms. We have been in NC for 6 months and I am still realizing more and more boxes they did not unload that were ours. I will never us a moving company again, I will take the time and pack a POD myself and get help from family and friends. Then I will know my items will make it safe. By the time they were done they charged us $20,000.00, our house in CA was 1400 sq feet. I would have been better off selling everything and starting over in NC and just brought clothes. We had the master bedroom, living room couch, dining room table & chairs and my husband's desk along with boxes of clothes, Christmas items and patio furniture. $20,000.00 pretty much broke us to get started over in NC. They will hold you hostage because they won't give you any $$ back once they give you the final quote. They expect you to know exactly how many boxes you will have on your first phone call. They never gave me a final bill to file with my tax guy, so I am having to sift through all my Zelle payments, cash withdrawals and proving to him what we paid. As a veteran, who ordered from a veteran owned company (Next Move Relocation Services), I am disgusted in their practices. I was bullied into extra fees and overcharged. They took advantage of this single woman who is taking care of her elderly father and moving cross country. Disgusting! They were supposed to also remove a full pack charge when they only packed about 10 boxes. ​
